This is a weird request, but bear with me, I need it for an upcoming theme tournament.

Are there any characters currently represented in Heroclix that have acted as senators, representatives, or in some legislative capacity?

Any villain will suffice.

Actually, Firehawk took over her father's senate seat!!! (Source - wiki)

Most superheroes and villains are drawn to the executive branch, apparently.

Also, Mystique impersonates senators. Does that count?

For inspiration if nothing else:

Fictional U.S. Senators: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Fictional_United_States_Senators

Thanks, sphin. That should help me out. I have a rough idea of what I want to do now.

Its not congress but Tony Stark was the SecDef. Or something of that sort.

Hey, that would make him a member of the Executive branch, wouldn't it?

If you switch to Executive you'll definitely have more options with the preponderance of Presidents, Secretaries, Mayors, etc.

Some executives (again, mostly according to wiki):

U.S. Presidents
Doom 2099
Lex Luthor
Liberty Belle (on Earth-51)
Kitty Pryde (X-Men: The End)

Mayors
Oliver Queen
Bruce Wayne - for a day!
J. Jonah Jameson
Jonathan and Martha Kent
Kitty Pryde
Two-Face

Civil Servants
Diana Prince
Tony Stark

Amanda Waller?
Alan Scott?

I'm sure there are many more. Maybe you should start a thread in General for HeroClix figures who are politicians! :)

The tournament is a 300 point Golden Age tournament with the theme of "Patriots" in honor of the Fourth of July. Rather than run red, white, and blue figures or Captain America, I decided I'd do a team based around the three branches of the American government.

So right now, I have:

Judicial: HA Daredevil (or CD Vet Manhunter) - they're both lawyers
Legislative: JL Firehawk
Executive: MU Iron Man (since that's his SecDef/SHIELD era, I believe)

And of course, we can't forget the Fourth Estate:

The Press: BB Clark Kent/Superman Alter Ego

This is what teaching a political science class over the summer will do for you.

Nice! That's a great theme with lots of possible creative choices.

IIRC pre-crisis, Barbara Gordon (Batgirl, Oracle) was a Member of the US House of Representatives.
