View Full Version : What is the best possible Dr. Doom team?
What is the best possible Dr. Doom team you have ever played with or against and the strategy behind it? Thanks in advance for any comments....
for a 300 point team i used blue doom with 3 doom bots one rookie one exp one vet. Then i used a rookie hydra medic and rookie black panther. the hydra ability is really handy when u got a tough defense to break through like invisible girl and they all move for free. i used red doombot to carry dr doom and the the yellow to carry the blue doombot. i doubt this the best doom team but #### its fun especially when the opponet crowds his people due to 4 teammates with explosion.
my friend uses two Bats in a bush as he calls it and Doombots from high hell.
my favorite team with doom:
v- dr doom
v- dr strange
v- shield medic
this is a 400 pt team with leadership. give all the doombots the shield team ability. then you either use dr doom and dr strange to snipe away the enemy or if the opponent is grouping his figures use the shield ability to pump up an energy explosion and target 2 adjacent figures with it (remember to perplex up dr dooms attack for the explosion and if dr strange has enhancement...)
what do ya think of this team?
V Dr. Doom
2x V Doombot
E Dr. Strange
V Dr. Octopus
E AIM Medic
R Intergang Medic
E Mandriod Armor
anyone have any comments?????????????
My friend plays an army he calls the Doombot army. It's a 300 point team with:
Dr. Doom LE
R Doombot x2
V Doombot x2
E Doombot x2
E Intergang Medic
R Invisible Girl
This team has beaten me up a lot. Basically he uses the Medic and IG for their team abilities. By keeping two Doombots together, the greater of the two gets outwit (which usually mean there are four characters out there that can outwit something. IG is there so when somebody dies, all the Minion of Doom Team Members get one click of healing.
LE Dr. Doom
4 or 5 V Doombots
and a Skrull Agent, a SHIELD Medic, an AIM Medic, R Robin, R Steel.
and altogether expensive.
I had fun at a tourney with a team I called "The New Sinister Six." Went 2-1 with it.
R Doc Ock
V Skrull Warrior
V AIM Medic
Doom carted Bullseye around and teamed up on tough targets, while Ock Leap/Climbed around and harrassed support figs, and the Skrull and Avalanche played cleanup crew. In one game, Doom used the Skrull ability to avoid being targeted three times; I NEVER roll that well! Like I said; it was fun.
anyone else have any ideas???????????????
I've had good luck with :
V Dr. Octopus
V AIM Medic
R Mandroid Armor
Of course I only use Marvel (more a money decsion than anything)
Doom and the bots all move for free can use the Hydra abillty to up attacks and the SHIELD abillity to add damage. Dr. Octopus can get where he needs to and can add some perplex lovin', which added with Doom's and SHIELD bonuses let Doom lay 8 clicks of damage down while still leaving an action for the Medic or Ock to do something (assuming you make the leadership roll).
im thinking of something along the lines of...
unique elektra 36
doom e 163
vulture r 15
rookie avalanche 19
exp avalanche 26
r aim medic 14
harley quinn r 27
ok, so you take doom and his posse (namely avalanches and harlequinn) and you put them somewhere safe. then, you barrier for free (brotherhood ability.) and wait for your opponents turn to be over. eventually, they'll have to come for you, and when they do, you either elektra them or blast them with doom for 5 damage (perplex himself, then perplex with harley.) plus, after you're done, you can barrier him back up.
im using this strategy next tournament, so ill tell you if its as amazing as i think it is.
you barrier for free (brotherhood ability.)
Unfortunately this won't work. Brotherhood/Avengers abillity allows ONLY movement. Other action that use a move action (like barrier) still use an action
well dang. there's a hee-yitch in my plan.
thanks for pointing that out, man. appreciated...
now ill need to work some leadership in there...
y is barrier so good anyways........?
u cant shoot through it cant u?
