Hi KiLLeR_bUrIto,

There are a few threads I recommend to get you started.

Under Battle formations read, "help with Swarm Team" presently on page 2.

Under Battle Plans read, "Ideas to beat a cheapo" and "Brotherhood vs Firelord/Vision and other battles"

Sorry, I don't know how to link them yet to my post.

I'm sure there are other threads that I have missed.

I'll give you some basic ideas on another post, gotta go.

Lunch Break, Yayyyyy!

General Concepts for good Swarm teams

1. You want to have more actions every turn than your opponent has, in order to swarm him. Therefore, free moves like Avengers or Brotherhood and Leadership is important.

2.You want to have more figures than your opponent, in order to utilize your extra actions. This means you need to keep the cost of each figure down. Include a lot of cheap figures like hydra, shield, thugs etc...

3.Long movement, Willpower and leap/Climb are benefical for reaching your opponent. Or, some less expensive figures with phasing when they come out (Shadowcat?). Hypersonic speed is probably to expensive but if you keep the other figures cheap then perhaps you can include Hypersonic speed.

4.Charge and Running shot are also helpful for attacking on the run. It also reduces the amount of points spent on taxi or TK.

5. Offensive capability. This can be the hardest part of putting together a good swarm team. You want to try to maintain some good damage potential and some good attack values. It doesn't help having 20 figures vs 2 figures if none of your figures can hurt the opponent.

6. Tie up the opponent frequently!!!!! Especially use low cost figures to tie up the opponents good figures, medics and range combat experts. Tie up doors and hallways on indoor maps. You can often force She-Hulk and others to waste a good object on a thug when they cannot seem to get past the thug.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most generic figures are good but I especially like hydra for cost, move, and +1 attack (without costing an action).

Some Very good Swarm figures (besides generics)

Wasp, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Black Cat, Scarlet Witch, QuickSilver, Toad, Blob, Sabertooth, Whirlwind, Bullseye, Magneto, Pyro, Avalanche, Capt America, Nick Fury, Vulture, Doc Ock, Logan, Spiral, MoonDragon, and Doombots.

There are others, these are just some of my favorite.
