What is the ruling on a Custom Figure, with a regular characters bases Untouched???
I created a Marrow figure, all custom, but put it on a Vet. Vampire Lackey Base and didnt change the base at all......would this be legal in touraments???? since all i did was change the fig.....or are only Unchanged figs permitted??
Thanks!
Edit: I did Change the name on the base from Vampire Lackey to Marrow.... Sorry, forgot doing that!
There is no real official (read: something printed) on this as of yet....
But it is leaning towards:
The base cannot be touched and the figure must be representative of the original figure..
So, you could not put an original Ghost Rider mod on a FireLord base.
Nor could you put a Space Ghost mod (mod of Dr. Strange) on a Dr. Strange base.
It's almost frowned upon to have a mod of Dr. Strange (in a different costume) on a Dr. Strange base.
See where I'm going.
Basically, the original figure should be on the original base.

OK well that makes sense.....
but the Changing a characters costume is a bit much though.....since it is Still the same fig......and still looks like the same fig...
Odd....
Thanks though

Rules for this kind of thing also tend to vary from one area or venue to the next. One store I play at only allows repaints if the basic color scheme remains, and is simply improved upon. The other store I play at allows just about anything short of tampering with the stats on the dial, provided that the modder informs his opponent before the start of the game exactly what they're going up against.

As long as the character is still easily identifiable as the original, then a repain is permitted. ex. painting a standard Batman in a black/grey costume, etc. A henchman with a red t-shirt and black pants...whatever. But, you could not play with a shield agent painted as punisher (not that anyone would think of that).
