This mystery, a mighty one penned by Jeph Loeb and penciled by the immortal Jim Lee, left Batman running around in circles before he pulled out his usual trick out of the bag. His Rogue's Gallery threw everything but kitchen sink at him, headed by the field general Hush, who was later revealed to be Tommy Elliott...or was he really? Nevertheless, upon the conclusion of this storyline, even Batman himself did not truly feel completely sure of the outcome.
The supposed mastermind, a long time friend of Bruce Wayne's, known as Thomas Elliott, Hush terrorizes Batman at every possible angle:

This riddling criminal has vexed Batman turn after turn and he is up to nothing new here:

He can use it normally or as a free action targeting a single opposing character if he has been given and will take no other free actions that turn. When he uses Incapacitate as a free action, and successfully hits a target, choose a number from 1 to 6 and roll 2d6. If the chosen number comes up on either die, Incapacitate resolves normally; if the chosen number comes up on both die, give the target 2 action tokens if it has zero action tokens.
(Damage) They'll Never Get This One: The Riddler can use Outwit and Perplex. When The Riddler uses Perplex, he can only modify a combat value (other than damage) of an opposing character by -2.
Cryptically warning Batman that he wasn't the true villain, Ra's still gets tangled up in this "Hush" mess:

Hot on the tail of the mystery, Batman then runs into the fear-specializing chemist, Dr. Jonathan Crane, best known as the terrorizing Scarecrow:

This team can be played as a 799 point version or drop every feat and the two Street Thugs, adding Infiltrate to one of the Stealth characters to come in at exactly 700.
Hush w/ Alias
Killer Croc (BA)
Catwoman
R Poison Ivy
Harley Quinn (BA) w/ Spotter
R The Joker (Legacy)
The Riddler w/ Contingency Plan/Outsmart/Getaway/Protected/Running Start
Ra’s Al-Ghul (BA)
E Scarecrow (Icons)
Jason Todd
Clayface (BA) w/ Camouflage/Entangle
Street Thug x2
The strategy is fairly obvious: use a moving Stealth front, sharing the highest AV and pick off your opponent as they attempt to reach you. Send out Clayface and rely on his Entangle/Shape Change combo to keep the opposition tied up for a lengthy amount of time. This team is also not lacking for Outwit so use them to shut down threats. You will most likely be depending on Riddler to deal with brutes with his dual-incap, just don't forget to utilize it on turns he normally cannot attack...it's a free shot at incapping a brick! Be sure to Mastermind some damage off onto Catwoman to get her to her Outwit clicks, giving this team another weapon. Poison Ivy and Scarecrow, despite their short ranges, can suddenly become threats when sharing the multitudes of 10AV on this team. Killer Croc should be waiting in the wings and sent after figures have been whittled down some so he can stay top-dial. Playing Poor Teamwork would definitely benefit this team as it would slow the opposing team down to no detriment of your own team.
Hope you enjoyed this extensive look into one of the most popular Batman stories. Check back in two weeks for the next installment of COMIC ACCURATE: DC EDITION!

Great write up!
This storyline got me back into collecting the Batman books.
I was thinking it would not have been a bad idea to include a version of Superman. He was mindcontrolled by Poison Ivy into battling Batman. It would definitly add fire-power to the team.

Running Poison Ivy with Clark is alot of fun. I faced in a BatB sealed
175 Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn
216 Superman
It was a sick team
Nice write up but thats a lot of alpha. Any of the Ra's al Ghul are better than that except maybe BatB. The Demon's Head le with LoA ata is nasty

Hush is a great storyline, and with the Jason Todd tease, I loved it even more. I really thought Hush was Jason, until the end.
It would have made more sense if it had been, because they went ahead and brought him back later on, but then I guess we wouldn't have had the great Under the Hood story, soon to be animated movie.
That's a great team, but I'd love to take off the Thugs and feats and throw a Superman in there somewhere. Preferably the NGN Batman Ally Superman if it fits at 900 or 1000! :)

A great write up on a great story.
Superman would be a great addition and Hush gives us a chance to use Krypto in a comic accurate story. After all, Batman would have never found Poision Ivy without a certain caped dog with a super sense of smell.

This is my favorite Write-up in the past few months. Great Job! I'd like to add that for those players not liking th random Joker they can easily sub in the Icons version.

Great write-up for a mostly great story
(Sorry, the ending, with the exception of the Riddler reveal, falls flat after a great year of build up.)

Hush was just a blatant excuse to draw all the characters really pretty. I don't know how the story got so much hype, except for the awesome artwork.
Awesome article, but I agree with DarkBlueAnt, this write up actually made me realize how bad the story of Hush was.
Honestly, I'd rather use the Arkham Joker and V Clayface out of Collateral Damage than the Alphaclix Clay and super-random Joker. That Clayface is just such a beast for his points, and Joker is just frickin' awesome!
