It came up in a recent tournament that I ran if I can find out what Powers can be used with Duo Attack and as well as other power combinations that do or don't work. So if anyone can post up the link of where I can find it that would be great. Thanks

DUO ATTACK Give this character a power action to make a duo attack. This character has for this action. It makes a close or ranged combat attack as a free action. After the attack resolves, it may make an additional close or ranged combat attack as a free action with its damage value modified by -1 to a minimum of 1. If this character is defeated or loses Duo Attack as a result of the first attack, the second attack is not made.

Since you are giving a duo a power action to make two combat attacks, powers that require combat actions cannot be used: CCE, Charge, BCF, EW, Psychic Blast, Pulse Wave, RCE, RS.

The power action cannot be used to activate other powers (requiring a power action) prior to the first attack. However, a feat like Lunge could be used in conjunction with the duo ability. Vampirism would work with the duo attacks, as BCF only has to be showing up on the dial to activate the effect (Steal Energy).

Assigning a duo the Power Barrage feat is currently the only method to give a duo the ability to use combat actions on an initial attack, but you're not using the actual duo ability:

POWER BARRAGE
Cost: 6
Prerequisite: :a-duo:
Choose a character. If this character possesses a standard attack power and uses it, after actions resolve, it may make a close or ranged combat attack as a free action, but modifies its attack and damage values by -1 for that attack.

Super Strength and Steal Energy work, regardless.

Why would he be messing with you? It is a feat in Brave and the Bold.

If you are wondering why it didn't appear in the boosters (or any cardboard elements in the boosters, for that matte), it is because it is available through print and play, just like the Hammer of Thor cardboard elements.

The text for all feats and such can be found in the player's guide (make sure you're looking at the most current one for BatB cards).

If you want them as nice, colorful little pdfs. suitable for printing out cards, just search around the main forum... a couple of people have put together such files and they floating around out their somewhere.

Or you could always (surprise, surprise ;)) go to the gallery at www.heroclix.com :)

For the moment. It took them a while to add the HoT feats, too. But they are there now.

All the time. You might want to give it whirl... since you seem to have problems finding the player's guide sometimes :)

(see? I can do snark, too ;))

if you're refering to the players guide, I have it already, although, give it a week or so, I'm sure it will be out dated. Also the link has no kind of feats one can print out, not to mention up to date A.T.A. It's ok though, i have your back ;) (refer to one of my previous posts in this thread.

Well... I came to this thread looking for the ruling on the powers you can use with the Duo Attack. I left laughing silently to myself because Normalview kinda kicked butt. :p very entertaining. both of you

I won't be surprised if power barrage ends up being similar to the giant stride feat. Feat today built in power down the road. Though I think it will have much longer as a feat than giant stride did.

- so pretty much duos can only use steal energy with the duo attack as far as standard powers go?

To clarify, Super Strength in close combat. The Duo Attack ability cannot be used to throw an object (requires a ranged combat action) with Super Strength.

Blades/Claws/Fangs
When this character is given a close combat action, you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack roll. The result replaces this character’s damage value, then that damage value is locked.

Duo Attack
Give this character a power action to make a duo attack. This character has :bolt: for this action. It makes a close or ranged combat attack as a free action. After the attack resolves, it may make an additional close or ranged combat attack as a free action with its damage value modified by -1 to a minimum of 1. If this character is defeated or loses Duo Attack as a result of the first attack, the second attack is not
made.

You are incorrect.

I could have sworn that was the case, but I think rewording may have killed it.

It requires a close combat action so it won't work. I could swear that that it used to be worded such that it could be activated any time you did a close combat attack.

It was never worded that way.

Otherwise, BCF could have been working with HSS, Pounce, Move and Attack, etc all this time, too.

BCF has always activated when you give the character a close combat action.
