Ok so here is my problem.

Now i would LIKE to get a all gotham city theme team. But The Man of Steel opening click of defend sits funny with me truth be told. And my play style isn't big on charging in. I kind of like to sit back in stealth and let people come to me while harassing them from a distance. I think honestly i wished that he also had the BA team ability. Any help on which one I should side with here?

Play Man of Steel.
Hide behind the wall of Stealth characters, granting them 18 defense and protecting Superman. Hss out, blow someones face off then run back in. If the break your wall, push supes into impervious before he gets hit.
PS: Edward Nigma and Man of Steel together are just mean

Edward Nigma and him are awesome together for the fact that Nigma can take the action token, and the build in Enhancement?

i like man of steel... not for his top dial, but the late 19 defend is funny when opponent dont realize it LOL!

man of steel, all day long. higher attack,defense, movement, supes ta, 11 points cheaper, yes please. since he's retired I'll assume it's golden age event so play him with protected to take care of that first click of defend. if using icwo (which should be a staple on any bat ally theme) use alpha oracle and make man of steel an agent, now he is a 20 defense against range (21 in hindering) with mindcontrol and perplex. just insane.

Alphred's far better. Unless you're hurting for Perplex, then spend that extra 4 points.
On topic, definitely Man of Steel. Early game, he's defending y'alls at 18 and is a huge threat. Late game, nobody's going to hit that 18 or 19 Defend and he'll clean up with 4 or 5 damage.

alfred pennyworth is great for cheap perplex on this team but alpha alfred is a lot better for healing. depends on your style of play. you can never have enough perplex but support isn't always usefull. alfred's willpower also comes in handy for theme team prob rolls.

Yeah im just getting back into the game. Alot of the little stuff Ive been missing. Any more advice on whats necessary for a Gotham City themed team?
I have Anarchy for Prob, but eh i dislike giving them a action back.

You can have some fun with Anarky's prob. Incap a guy with an action token (and without indom/willpower), he takes a click for pushing damage. Later, remove the token with a different action, and incap the guy again. Hilarious!

Not sure what your points are, or the map you'll be playing on. But you might want to consider Captain Gordon & Robin from AA and dont forget OOTS Batman. Puting the 3 of them together on a gotham team is very nasty and if you add the Man of Steel and Alfred. If you need an additional flyer, Batman Beyond is good too.
Your only problem for the heros is facing a team with either Superman or Ultimates TA, or a HSS/TK type army. They might give yousome problems also.

Probably not the enhancement so much, more the action taking. Its going to be Supes running out and hitting something, and running back to Nigma. Nigma can't use the Enhancement while being carried by a HSS character, plus that would take Superman's Speed down by 2. But Nigma is essential for this
-I like to use the AA Robin and a second click Nightwing, with that and some ICWO (I only use it on Birds of Prey, Gotham City, and JLA,...the teams she was on I can think of) and you can jack up whatever stats on him and do some nasty Damage.
-Justice League Batman (Oots) is a great character, and is pretty easy to get a hold of.
-Alpha Alfred is a great lil click
-I have been thinking of using Captain Gordon to give Superman a lil more movement freedom on those turns that MoS takes the action token.
-Batman and Catwoman are a mean piece,
This thread makes me want Man of Steel real bad.
Everyone says he's like the best Superman fig at being Superman so often. I wish I'd picked him up.

The other thing the Alpha Alfred is better than the Origins chase is actually fighting. AV never goes below 8, two clicks of 2 damage up front... he's much better with the shotgun than his chase counterpart.

Both versions can take advantage of Captain Gordon's Summon the Bat SP. However, like the two chase Supermen, each of the CD LEs have their own strengths and weaknesses.
Bat-Supes can deal more damage from range and can hide in hindering. Adding Elite Sniper allows him to ignore Stealth and use PB/RCE when adjacent, but raises his cost to 231. However, he's able to deal maximum damage up close for over half his dial (6 clicks) and ignores other characters when drawing lines of fire. Super Senses is comic-accurate for his martial arts ability, but a bit of a gamble. He does have the best range of all Supermen, though (10 :bolt::bolt: ).
Man of Steel's high DV + Defend clicks are great, but he is vulnerable to EE and Poison damage. Also, despite the Superman Ally TA, he becomes more of a close combat attacker with two clicks of Charge instead of Bat-Supes' RS, and an additional click of Force Blast. I'd add Shellhead and deliberately push off the starting click for a 20 DV with Impervious. Slippery is another option that gives him a 80% chance to break away on his end-dial Defend clicks. He sports better combat values than Bat-Supes across the board, but I think those four clicks of Defend-- like JL Supes' Self-Sacrifice SP-- could be a concern.
Bat-Supes will obviously break your theme, but if none of your opponents have the Supeman Ally or Ultimates TA, he'd be ideal on a Gotham City-based team. I've only used MoS twice since I first got him in the mail years ago, but have used Bat-Supes at least 33% of the time when my team calls for a Superman; I mostly stick to the Origin Unique and R Superman Blue, using the Icons Vet or Unleashed versions in larger point builds (1200+).
