hello all!
during a game with some pals we noticed, and am i correct in saying that the Atlantis keyword is the only non generic keyword to be shared by both marvel and dc characters?

At least so far, yes.

good! thank you! i cant think of any other non generic keywords that could be shared between Marvel and DC that can be added in the future. i like the idea though...
You mean marvel doesn't have one of the hundred possible choices for JLA, Justice League, etc?
The only two possibilities I can think of are Amazon (Marvel has to have at least 1 someplace) or Spirit (which Deadman doesn't have oddly enough).

Spirit (which Deadman doesn't have oddly enough).
Assuming they want to keep spirit going, it's odd that spirit isn't a generic keyword.

It is my humble opinion that "Spirit" was intended to be "Mystical". Only one figure has ever gotten Spirit and he doesn't have Mystical.
FWIW, I did ask when it came out. I think WK was so tired of working the un-carded character keywords that they wanted it to just be over already.

Then it would be generic. :)
You know, it's been over a year since that list first came out and you are RA. You could take another shot at it.

It would be awesome if they fixed the keyword lists. Give us back the mutants keyword! We are missing out on powers and effects that could only work with mutants.
Listen to Scarlet Witch, NO MORE MUTANTS!
Seriously, that keyword was way, way too common and made theme teams way too easy, not to mention gave Marvel a nasty advantage over DC for having so many of them.

Yeah. You've got nothing better to do. Go through that monster list again and debate whether someone's Justice League or Justice League of America with nerds who are forgiving and perfectly willing to accept a reasonable effort.

Are you against my suggestion?

Yet "Teen" "Soldier" "Scientist" and "Martial Artist" have nearly twice as many if not more characters that have those keywords than the ones that have "Mutant"

...and even exceeded the number of Mutant at the time they decided to discontinue it.
I would love to see it get back in there. (There's nothing saying that you have to give every figure ever possible keyword it could have.)
I also wish that they'd made an Alien one and a Marksman/Archer one.

I consider that a good argument for getting rid of generic-keyword theme teams entirely, not for restoring Mutant, myself.
But, honestly, if they had kept handing out mutant keywords, none of those keywords would be anywhere near it.

I'd like to see an updated keyword list: corrected for typos, including the new figures that were left off the original and organized both by character (as the original official list was) and by keyword (as Harpua's list is done.) Then you could reference the list for the character you wanted, and then cross-reference for a specific word to see who else shares it.
And yes, the exclusion of mutant is still a head scratcher.

Mutant was discontinued after M&M and I think they've done only a handful of mutants after that.
Actually, I don't see anyone I would know as a mutant in either SI or HoT besides Namor.
I also wish that they'd made an Alien one and a Marksman/Archer one.
I'd agree with you, but realistically, why break our trend?
