I'd Like Review On The 300 Point Golden Age Team I'm Thinking Of Using This Week. Any Suggestions Or Compliments Are Welcome And Appreciated ;)

SI: Hercules :142pts
-Shellhead :10pts
-Protected :8pts
-Streak Of Luck :5pts
-Thunderbolts :5pts
IN: V. Johnny Alpha :64pts
UI: R. Destiny :20pts
UI: R. Destiny :20pts
CD: R. Dr. Mid-Nite :24pts

-SVS: Meteorite :0pts

Total: 298pts

Hercules With Shellhead Indomitable (No Pushing) To 20 Defense With Protected If Anyone Hits Him With 18; Carrying The Meteorite For Extra DD Capabilities, Streak Of Luck Because 20 Defense Is Hard To Hit Especially With 2 PC'ers To Counteract Your Rolls; T-Bolts To Batman TA For Stealth. Johnny Alpha Has Stealth Also So He Can TK Hercules In And Out Of Hindering - Keeping Them Both Stealthed. And In Case Hercules Gets Hit He Can Be Healed By Dr. Mid-Nite Who Is Also Stealthed. Destinies We're Chosen Based On Super Senses And Because Of Brotherhood TA (Limited Actions In A 300 Point Game Can Cause PC Positioning Problems Otherwise)

Herc can't use Thunderbolts. He doesn't have the keyword. Also, the ATA costs 8 points, not 5. And you wouldn't be able to pick Bats TA with it since it only allows for Marvel teams to be chosen.

correct me if im wrong. but Thunderbolts states that it costs 5 Points per Avengers TA character on your force, and the prerequisite is the Avengers *Team Ability* not the keyword. can you show me where you read this? i havent played in 2 years so i could be out of date in mindset :/ EDIT: after double checking hercules does indeed also posess the Avengers keyword

Keyword(s): Thunderbolts
Cost:8
Once at the beginning of the game, choose any one Marvel team ability other than an alternate team ability, a wild card team ability, or a team ability that can’t be used by wild cards. Characters using this team ability can use the chosen team ability if they can’t already.

brilliant... yet another new rule nerf i was unaware of. is that an errata then i assume? ill see if the gm will let it slide this time since ive been gone awhile. otherwise do you have any reccomendations on filling that cards place/lineup change suggestions?

The new wordings for the alternate team abilities are in the player's guide Available in the units section of this site, or on WizKids site).

You also will not be able to use Shellhead on Hercules because he has the Indomitable defense symbol. This is because the bonus noted to defense is listed as applying only to characters with the standard defense symbol.

All ATA Feat Cards have been banned from tourney play, and have been re-released as ATA Cards, which are separate from Feat Cards now, but since they aren't Feats, they don't count towards the 10% Feat Cap.

You can only have one ATA Card per force / team build.

If you want to download and print and play these cards, Puuka did an awesome job.. and these are formatted to the correct size for print and play:

The other problem you have with this team is that with TK and Hercs 4 charge, you have a grand total of 13 spaces max you can hit from. If you hit a hindering spot, thats less. Ifs a good concept, but I would lower the cost of your TK, take off Shellhead and Thunderbolts which have no use on him anymore, and go with something like this:

If you don't care about theme teams, this gives Herc an additional 3 spaces to hit someone, he can go through hindering, and Blackfire adds some range. I picked her because she is easy to get a hold of. Use the Dumpster special object, and Herc can lunge back out and pick it up again and again. Lila is super cheap tie-up.

I prefer theme myself, but this is a decent team.
