Yesterday or the day before Avi Arad was talking about the Spider-Man sequel and give away too interesting pieces of infomation.

First the Lizard, a long rumored second villian, will NOT be in the film. The villian will be Doc Ock. I love this, I think part of what killed the Batman series was overloading the movies with villians. By only having one villian, that villian is able to get a lot character development. It also makes the villian more......evil. When Two Face needed Riddler, and Posion Ivy need Bane and Mr. Freeze it makes them look...weak, like they really aren't a threat to the hero. He didn't say anything about Black Cat, she may still be in the movie.

Avi Arad also noted that Alfred Molina will be playing Doc Ock in the film.

I havn't been online for over a week so I probably missed that casting news.

ANd I posted the news about cletus cassidy making a cameo in the new Spider-Man movie, I forget who is playing him (a nobody) and I can't find the thread I said it in. If he is there will just be a cameo role, maybe hinting at what's to come in the 3rd SPider-man movie. I hope they have Venom but leave Carnage out.

Dude, and I heard somewhere that someone was cast as that guy in the crowd that does that one thing. And someone else was cast at that other guy that Spider-Man protects from that one thing that Doc Ock does in the movie. :D

here it is

"Jake Gyllenhall will make a brief appearance as Kletus Kasady in the Amazing spider'Man"

They are guessing, if this rumor is true, that both Carnage and Venom will be in Spider-Man 3. As I already said I hope they leave Carnage out.

Arad also said that Fantastic Four and The Sub-Mariner are in the script stage while Silver Surfer has "just started with Fox" and has no writer yet. FF is also being made by Fox.
