Let me explain.
Why did you make Doomsday so watered down? Dont get me wrong, Im not so much complaining as I am asking. I LOVE Heroclix, and plan to collect as many as I can for as long as Im able. I love the idea of taking your favorite, and even not so favorite, comic book characters and pitting them against one another. Taking established teams, or creating all new ones with any and every character you can think of. The game is Great, Im a Huge fan, and even though Ive had more than my share of posts here asking "what the heck" this and "are you kidding me" that, I can honestly say youre doing a great job, and I highly look forward to any and all future HC sets you plan to put out. Im just curious why you took DCs most POWERFUL character and made him into a less than spectacular clix.
Again, let me explain. Hes not bad really, for his points, definately, but hes not Doomsday. Doomsdays Vet shouldnt be in the 170 point range, not when you have Ultron, Kang, Thor, Dr. Doom, Thanos and Superman all towering above that. I dont understand why all 3 versions of him have just the 9 clicks of Life. His Rookie Versions is actually pretty good, and Im quite pleased with the way he was done. But his Experienced and Veteran forms are sadly lacking. Giving him CCE instead of a natural high Damage value doesnt really do much for him at all, especially since he really does deserve that HIGH Damage on his own. His body armor powers are nice yes, but his Defense values are average, at best. Making him very easy to hit, and not all that hard to hurt even from mediocre figures. Charge is a nice touch yes, but wheres Leap/Climb? Its how he gets around, its what he does. And again, his Exp and Vet versions having only 9 clicks of Life just doesnt make any sense.
Now Im not here saying you need to make a 400 point unstoppable giant, but surely he could have been made alittle stronger than the so so powerhouse he was made at. This is DOOMSDAY, the being that beat Superman to death, defeated Darkseid with ease, and handled more than one incarnation of the JLA........Id hate to think we got these watered down versions simply because you needed to make him "tournament friendly", a term I HATE since it seems to really spoil the making of some really great characters by making them less than what they should be.
On a slightly related note, though on the exact opposite, Id love to know why Bane was made so Strong and Powerful? Sure hed give Batman a run for his money, but his HC figure would be considered as one of the best Bruisers and Powerhouses in the game, and again, that just doesnt make any sense. Id love a reply to this, as Im actually curious to what your thinking was in making these 2 quite mis-interpretted characters. Thanks all, and again, all complains aside, A Really Great game.
