I was looking thru the threads and I have not seen a hydra team help a brother out. Guideline for team Hydra keyword, any age, any feat, any point total.

It's probably because there aren't very many figures with the keyword. Or at least good figures with the keyword....

Here is an attempt at a 300pt team...

Elektra(SI) 80pts.
+Maneuver 8pts.

Chase Spider-Woman 79pts.

Crossbones 47pts.

Baron Strucker 74pts.
+Contingency Plan 12pts.

In a 400pts game add...

Hydra Officer 24pts.
Hydra Officer 24pts.

Hydra Technician 19pts.
Hydra Technician 19pts.

+ Armor Piercing 10pts (on Crossbones)

+Inside Information 4pts (Spider-Woman)

Worth a shot. Might be fun to play.

600 point team

I play Hydra all the time, probably my favourite terrorist faction bent on world domination. So I have a few teams I like to play, just keep in mind that they're in no way competitive, making a competitive Hydra team is tricky because most of the pieces are outdated and most of the really good ones are hard to find (Chase Spider Woman, Madame Hydra, etc.) so I won't be including any of those.

For higher point games, try Red Skull (appears sucky, but can be a saving grace occasionally,) or Vet. Viper. Elektra is one of the better pieces with the keyword, but I didn't include her because I always try to stick to playing comic accurate teams, but you can easily slot her in at the expense of some goons. The IC Operative and Medic LE's are also nice if you have them, sporting well needed leadership on click one, and support you don't have to push for. Also, if you're not worried about getting your theme team bonus, you can add Arnim Zola for some comic accurate Cap-killing nazi fun. He never tends to disappoint me.

Hope this helped! Hail Hydra! :)

You know what's better than a swarm team? A swarm team that can all/mostly use willpwer. Throw Inspiring Command on Strucker for some REAL fun. He is one of the Highest point value Hydra/AIM guys next to MODOK, so he should be able INSPIRE most of them!

That's a good point. I forgot about that one, since I usually throw together teams without many feats. Rep.

I have all but perfected Hydra/AIM teams. My claim to fame is killing a full power Kingdom Come team with nothing but a Hydra Swarm team.

I haven't been playing for very long, but Hydra is probably one of, if not my favourite team to play. After I ordered a bunch of Hydra online, my friend played a game with them before I ended up trying them and I think he probably put it the best; "I didn't win, but I had fun." That statement probably defines about 90% of the games I've played as Hydra.

You said they had to have the Keyword. Which the Hand Ninjas do not. They have Martial Artist and The Hand.

A tactic I am anxious to try out is the use of The Great Arena BFC. Limited to one use per tourney I know, but being a swarm team, you are going to be rolling a lot of attacks. And an opponent might not catch on to the tactic, allowed the BFC to stay in the game (ie won't Theme Team Kill it).

I wouldn't recommend any team that I would not play, so here is a 500 point Hydra team I would play:

+9 to map roll, 1 possible natural prob (Red Skull), 4 Theme probs

123 AV032 Red Skull
80 SI048A Elektra
65 AW217 Jessica Drew
40 UI051 Silver Samurai
52 SN031 Fixer
39 XP211 Madame Hydra
24 SN003 HYDRA Officer
IOF008 Swingline (Elektra)
5 AAF002 Lunge (Elektra)
12 JLF007 Contingency Plan (Hydra Officer)
16 IC012 Hydra Medic
20 MMF008 Trick Shot (Madame Hydra)
11 IC008 Hydra Operative
3 SIF006 Alias (Elektra or Silver Samurai)
500

Though its a lil feat heavy, I think it would work. Your close combat tie-ups are the key to victory. Anyone based by a single actioned Silver Samurai MUST push or action to hit him when positioned correctly to avoid a nasty Blades hit. Elektra can charge/Lunge for 7 from Stealth...with Contigency Plan and some Perplex from Red Skull, you could land a nasty hit. Madane Hydra can Trick Shoy through your tie-up and land some good hits, getting some good old Hydra team to up her accuracy. It looks fun, heck, I might even play it.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE SWARM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER A HYDRA TEAM?!

It's kind of the definition of a swarm team.

No worries. I was just thrown off by the keyword. If you don't care about the keyword, then I would also go with the ninjas.

But if you want to run theme, then the Hydra Techs and Officers are the way to go. Hydra needs the swarm.

What would you build if you access to every piece you needed?
