I'm kinda bored right now, so rather then have 2 or 3 (or more) threads going about different marvel movie projects I thought I'd try to start one to talk about all of them. Heres the latest (as far as I know) news about the projects marvel is working on.
X-men 2 - not much to say about this one, everyone has seen the trailer and whos in it and the basic storyline. The only new thing I think to add is that at the comicon it was said that Nightcrawlers backstorywill be closer to the Ultimate Nightcrawler rather then the "classic" Nightcrawler.
Hulk - I'm not a Hulk fan so I havn't really followed this film at all.
Spider-Man 2 - Alfred Molina is now confirmed to play Doc Ock and the Lizard will NOT be in the movie. Black Cat may be. Its also confirmed that James Franco will return. Its also rumored that JJJ will put on a Spider-Man suit at some point in the movie (your guess is as good as mine).
Blade3 - Snipes wants to do a third one, but not a fourth, once Blade 3 is finished he wants to do Black Panther. The film is going to start filming soon and should be out in August 2004. Hannibal King and Frank Drake will make an apperence in the movie. Luke Goss is will probably also return as Nomack.
Ghostrider - The script is being re-writen and apparently Nick Cage, while still a favorite to play the character, isn't signed on to play the character yet. Also Mark Steven Johnson is also interested in doing either Captain America or Ghostrider.
Ironman - Is being writen and is pre-production. They want it out by 2005. No one has been cast but Avi Arad would love Tom Cruiser to play Tony Stark/Shellhead.
Fantastic Four - Tristan Patterson is apparently signedon as the writer while Peyton Reed will direct it. Avi Arad has said he would want George Cloony as Reed Richards and Trish Stratus (WWE diva) as Sue Storm.
Punisher - Avi Arad has said they will "start on Punisher soon". It is being writen by Michael Tolkin (new to the project), but the final script isn't finished and Jonathan Hensleigh is apparently onboard to direct. Kurt Russel is not in it, but Thomas Jane could very well be Punisher - hes been offered the role.
Daredevil 2 - I'm sure its now in the works as well
Silversurfer - Is just started pre-production, has no writer, no directer or any actors attacted to it yet.
Any comments and/or news to add.
