i have a few questions on perplex

1. if the perplexers line of sight passes through hindering terrain is the line of sight considered clear? (i say no and have been arguing about it)

2. is there ant penalty for using perplex , such as an action token or anything (was trounced by a team with 3 perplexers who just juiced up heavy hitters every turn)

3. can perplex be used with other powers? such as a nightcrawler with increased damage using hyperspeed, or a she hulk usinf charge?

1.) YES absolutely, unless the figure your perplexing has stealth and is not yours. Read about lof and los in FAQ immediately.

2.) NO, read perplex

3.) Yes of course. read Faq....

1) yes

2) no

3) yes

Just remember that once you take damage or that person turns ends the perplex goes away.

So its really no good lowering the attack of someone becuase when it comes back to your turn it reverts to normal.

Edited

I changed it.

Manchine, the Perplex doesn't end when the Perplexed character deals damage. If the Perplexed figure is damaged or healed, that ends it early, but not dealing damage. This could be relevant for something like Flurry.

sorry about that subject line ;-)

When do you declare perplex? I had a team for sealed draft of Doom E, R Harley Quinn, V Joker, Mandroid Armor and R T O Morrow. Basically I would have 1-2 of them perplex doom's attack and then the other 1-2 perplex his damage (I destroyed the opposition!) plus the shield boost for ranged.

Now when someone attacked me, say superman declared to attack doom...I had doom perplex his damage down 1 due to only him having line of sight, then the other 2 perplex doom's defense up.

did i do wrong? do i have to declare at a certain point? when the attack is declared and i perplex assuming i can, can the attacker change his mind and my perplexing is wasted?

help a brother out ;-)

Yes, you did wrong because you can only perplex on your turn.

That is correct. However during your turn, you can declare your perplex(es) at any point except during an action. So you can't roll to hit, then perplex damage up, it has to be used before the attack. Perplexing defense is useless because it only lasts until the end of your current turn, or until the character who was Perplexed takes a click of damage (pushing) or is healed (Support/X-Men).
