No. From the nice, shiny new Complete Tournament Rules:
1.2.10 Maps: Any WizKids-created HeroClix map is considered official. Official 36- by 36-inch maps (3 x 3) can be used in any HeroClix event. Official 24- by 36-inch maps (2 x 3) can be used in...

Thanks for yet another blubbery sarcastic, however, quick response. My only hope is that you at least stuck your corn dog in your mouth before answer.

How was that even remotely sarcastic?
We got a brand new document on the 20th. Dollars to donuts most of the people in this place doesn't even know it exists yet, so why shouldn't I let people know there is a new one?
So I called you out once for being lazy and now everything I say is something to take personally? Considering how much I post here, you're going to wind up with a persecution complex if you start going down that road...

Was that really necessary?
Are you really that upset over him calling you out over your self-admitted laziness?
I don't see anything wrong with his answer. I think that the "nice, shiny new" part was there because some people not even realize that it's been released.

I can see it both ways. This time I think the OP over-reacted. With that said, in the past Norvalview's responses have been well... Snarky.
I have felt that they come across as "read the rules before you post you moron and by the way here is your answer."
Ever since he became a deputy his responses have been toned down, and more..... Softer.
I know the guy personally and I can tell you that that is not his intent at all. He wants you to take a moment and read the manual, and if you need a clarification then ask.
Now from the OP's side not everyone has time to read and interpret all the ever changing rules and just wanted a quick answer, and not a lecture.
In short you asked for an answer and you got one. Stop reading into the post deeper than it is.

If you don't like the answers, then RTFM.
If you're "too lazy" to do a search on "RTFM", then live in ignorance.

GridReality is working on getting the maps sanctioned for official tournament play ... it's a licensing thing; and there are hurdles we're trying to jump through. No idea if they would be compatible ... but if a deal is reached; we'll let everyone know then. :)

That would be awesome, Mr. Grid Reality. Played on your maps last week and loved them.
Ready The Fart Machine!!!
Guess you'll be driving yourself to GenCon
GridReality (ibeatdrew specifically) will be heading to GenCon; so look for a toting around maps! ;) If I can swing the time I might try to make it ... but work is keeping me a little busy.

Dude that was totally unnecessary. I've argued with normalview myself a few times and sometimes he does come off as a bit sarcastic. (So do I.) However, there was absolutely nothing in that post that warranted such a response. Maybe he did give you a snarky response some other time, but that doesn't mean that you should automatically read all of his posts as being snarky.
Takes me almost a couple days to fix puter and this happens. I was just messing with normalview!!! didn't mean to start a 3rd WW. Perhaps I did push that red botton, but it was for laughs... never again...

Good Luck with this. I know we tried for quite some time s to make my Star Wars maps DCI legal. Finally after the game got D/C'd the DCI content manager was free to throw a bunch on the list.
Wizkids would be foolish not to take a long look at the maps.

Not sure how quoting the official document is sarcastic? Would you rather have had a terse "no" with no explanation
