Hey everybody,

Has anyone got experience in removing doombot capes? I want to use the cape for a mod I'm making. I'd prefer it to be all in one piece so I was hoping to dip the figure in nail polish remover for a few hours to loosen the glue and hopefully the cape will pop off.

However the cape seems to be a different plastic to me, a little stiffer, so I'm not certain if the cape will hold up to the bath. If it won't I'll just cut if off, just hoping someone could make an experienced suggestion.

well if im right there is a small triangel lookin thing that goes into his back to secure the cape if you dont realy need that then just kinda cut it a lil at a time but it prity mutch will just pop out if you use enough force just be carefull kuz different parts of the cape are thiner than others and you can put a hole in it hee hee that what i allmost did and where the head is its kinda a crater too but once you get the back part off its easy to pull the head part off again just use a lil force on it with a small screwdriver like for glasses or sumpin. so may the force be with you and have fun moding !! B^)

Acetone will turn the figures rubbery (and I believe slightly expanded), but release all the paint, and probably all glue. When they dry out, they'll shrink/harden back to normal.
