View Full Version : Horrorclix sub-forum possibility?

Hello, just wondering if it is at all possible that we get a Horrorclix sub-forum somewhere on the site.
Hopefully, Wizkids/NECA will be relaunching Horrorclix in some format, but it would be nice to have a dedicated place to discuss Horrorclix, because it is the closest compatible game to Horrorclix.
Also, this probably applies to the Star Trek stuff coming out soon as well.
Even a sub-forum that was just titled "Other Wizkids Games" would be nice.
Thanks!

Even a sub-forum that was just titled "Other Wizkids Games" would be nice. This might be the best way to go about it. HorrorClix may not have enough discussion to warrant its own forum at the moment, but between Halo, Star Trek, and the various out-of-print games a subforum might be more viable.
It's all coming soon . :) We'll be merging the old CMGRealms.com site into HCRealms; so all the legacy discussion will be migrated here. w00t! Can't wait for that day!

Is there a Units section for HrC? If not, could we get one?

That would be sweet! BUT, think how long it took to get HC units section updated. It takes a lot of time to get done unfortunately.
I believe I made one; I'll have to look it up in the backup and see. That's what I'm working on right now though .. consolidating the communities so it's one; and far easier for me to manage (did you know that the World of Warcraft TCG community has been 'inside' HCRealms for over a year now? LOL!).

Not that slow ... I'm sure I have the data; and plus, I'm really hoping to crowdsource a lot of the data entry and give points/achievements based on it. :) We are a community after all.

Typhon, if you need any help, let me know. It will be good for my OCD!!
:p
We (two of us) have succesfully resurrected (pun fully intended) HorrorClix at my venue. We even have prize support! (Old stuff that we've managed to get our hands on.)
I got the Demo when it first came out. I also got the starter. I had always wanted to play it and never got a chance. A few years ago, at Gen Con they had bricks for$20 and I went nuts on it.
But I didn't start playing until this summer. I'm really into the game right now and would love a place to discuss it.

I'm going to be shot for this, I know it.
But in my personal opinion, with HaloClix being supported again and all, I'd rather have a forum for that than HorrorClix.
Thankfully, I don't run the forum. Don't kill me.

It shouldn't get you shot or killed.
What you stated is perfectly valid. HaloClix is actually being made again and HorrorClix is not. And all you said was that YOU'd RATHER have that. You didn't say that HorrorClix didn't DESERVE a forum and Halo did.
Those are some small distinctions, but important ones. I appreciate your tact.
I don't see why we can't have both.
And if HorrorClix AND HaloClix both have active forums, it might be a hint and a half to Neca/Kids!

You had better hope I don't see you crossing the street while I'm in my Wraith.

It wouldn't be that hard seeing as there are a finite amount of sets to enter.

Haha, just calling it like I see it. HrC would deserve it's own forum too but if it came down to one new forum...
I've always wanted to play HrC but never got to. Picking up one of the starters at the local Five Below tomorrow if they still have them. But HaloClix was cheap to get into and a lot of fun.

As I said, I only recently started playing the game.
I would advise that you have someone who knows the game teach it to you. When I first got the starter/demo, I read through the rules and things like card flipping, blooding, frenzy, victims and plot twists seemed really complex and significantly different from HeroClix to back me off quickly. But a player at my venue volunteered to make a couple of basic teams and walk me through a game and halfway through the game I had the training wheels off.
I think you'll really like it.
It's too bad that you're not near Chicago and we can't add you to our little crypt!

I would love to see that. And one for Haloclix and Mage Knight as well. ESPECIALLY Mage Knight. That game was a classic, but it's starting to fade away into the jungle of the internet as the old sites die. I can't find a unit section-type place anymore to look up Mage Knight stats when I'm inclined to do so for whatever reason, and for legacy purposes I'd love to see it preserved.
By the way, if anyone knows an active site with Mage Knight stats, please let me know. I'll rep you.

Well, it's not a site, but BattlePlanner http://www.battleplanner.com/ still supports MageKnight. Hell, it still supports CREEPYFREAKS!
I have all mage knight creepy freak, shadowrun, etc stats ... They'll all be coming back with the site consolidation. Mage Knight was one of my all time-faves! If they could bring it back in a grid form, I would be a happy camper!

Please don't take the following as offensive.
I'd really like to know where you can find Halo ActionClix stats/dials.
I have been searching for, like, ever for just one high quality-
Scratch that. ANY level of quality card scan so I could make my own cards. To no avail. There was a fan forum that lasted for a while, but it seems to have disappeared. If typhon can get the information, and if I knew how to code, I would code the whole thing for him- I'd love for the info to be on a site like HCRealms where the info has little chance of being lost forever.

Great Ideer!
I was curious if there where any known "loophole exploiting/cheese" teams or strategies for Horrorclix.

There is, but it's not on this site.
