well, while laying there staring at the darkness that is my ceiling (listening to my roommate's snoring), i got to thinking about heroclix. this may sound sad, and i agree, but i had an idea that i thought i'd run by and see how stupid it sounds. so, without any further hee-hawing, here it is...
now, it looks like that the new sets are going to kind of stay at 96 figures per set, and i'm obsessive-compulsive and i like nice intervals of five and ten, so i decided that i'd up it to 100.
now, how to be inventive and get to said number without following the formula that wizkids has now. well, i thought about it and, taking into consideration the constant gripes about some current figures and the ever-present "wishlists" that flourish on this site where people keep wanting their favorite figures or variations of already present ones (wolvie, hulk, GR, and spidey as FF, Alpha Flight, cap with willpower, ect.), i decide that there should be a new colored dial.
now, with the four open slots that exist between 96 and 100, this doesn't leave much room to work with, so i say take out one set of r/e/v's (where, i'd leave up to you) and that would make a set of seven open slots for the new figures. then make these slots not be new uniques, they'd all be rarity 5 and exist on the chart between the last r/e/v set and the uniques, so they would not be all that hard to pull, but not to make them to be so abundant that they'd be like uniques, since there'd only be one each of them.
now, if you understand what i've tried to convey in this bit of confusing drivel, here's what you can do with these slots (and i prefer a dark green ring for these guys, but whatever. purple or orange would be just fine).
well, to fill out seven, you could do any number of things, but they'd be reserved for people that either already have a r/e/v figure (caps, spidey, hulk, ect) and are people we really don't want as uniques or just as extra filler to include figures that some people just really want to see in clix form but might not warrant r/e/v figures (like you could do alpha flight or aunt may or whatever).
now, i know i'm probably just talking out of my posterior, but i decided to see just how fragrant my little speech was. so let the bashing or what-not begin.
