View Full Version : Skrull Commando into Super Skrull help
Hi everybody
could you please tell me if someone has done such a conversion streching the skrull commando body into a super skrull one.
Is it possible to stroch heroclix body into something like (but not that much) Mr Fantastic?
Thanks for te help.

Haven't tried stretching any but here's how I'd make a Super Skrull.
Start with a Human Torch. Cut him in half at the waist. Try to keep the flame that is attached to his side. (Using the legs for the mod). Next cut a Mr. Fan. in two where it will match closely with HT’s waist. Glue Mr. F’s top to HT’s legs. Then I’d replace Mr. F’s head and left arm with that of Skrull commando’s. Make neck as long or as short as you’d like. Replace Mr.F’s right hand with that of the Thing’s. (You can probably get by without doing this by painting Mr. F’s fist. It is large enough to pass as Ben’s. You just won’t have the “rock” texture.) Remove the 4 and add shoulder “pads”. Paint and there you have a Super Skrull.
If I ever get extra rookies maybe I’ll give this a try. It’d be a lot cheaper than buying the unique. Just a thought, let me know how it turns out if you give it a try.

It could happen, but you'd have to heat it up quite a bit.
That's bordering on melting the fig in order to get the proper viscosity for streatching. Normal mods (bending figs arms, guns...) can occur from a blast from a hair drier, but for what you are wanting, you'd have to heat it up more than that, possibly ruining the fig in the process (oven's are not kind to Heroclix).
I'd go with rctpool's idea and mod it other ways.
OK
I undestand the multi figure mod but that is easy!
I would like to give a try to the melting way, max risk is 1 skrull.
Could you suggest a way to melt it (I effectively already tried with the hairdryer but as you say is not enough). A candle?
thank for the support

If you want to try the melting way be very very careful. I haven't tried melting figures, but I do have some recommendations. First of all I'd remove the skrull from the base. The bases are a very different plastic and may have significantly different thermal properties (it would be bad to say have the base melting onto your hand or table while trying to heat the figure enough). Second, you may want to stript the paint off first. If you are heating it with direct flame you will get sone amount of soot anyway, fo you'll need to repaint the figure once it is done. If you strip off the paint first then you eliminate the paint as a potential hazard (I recommend pure acetone and q-tip type cotton swabs for removing the paint). Finally, I don't think I'd subject the figure to an open flame. The first thing I would try would probably be heating up a piece of metal (like a knife blade) and appying it to the figure's back. You will most liely need to use putty of some kind to clean the back of the figure up afterward, but at least you won't risk setting the figure on fire.
Good luck!

I'd recommend not melting the figure, but chopping out the arm and replacing it with the sculpting substance of your choice, sticking it on at the shoulder and putting the old hand on the end. You'll be able to make it as long as you want without risking breaking or bubbling.
Now
I may go with the modified arm as you suggest.
But what about the body how can I stretch it.
Thanks moddr for the help
By the way I already did 3 easy mods
hydra into electro
torch into namor
ultron into ironman
