Just completed another set of really obscure heroes from the Golden Age of Comics!

First up is Basil Wolverton's star-spanning hero, SPACEHAWK! (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11090)

Then, from the unique mind of Fletcher Hanks, STARDUST THE SUPER-WIZARD! (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11091)

Long before DC Comics' military mummy, Ace Comics had their own UNKNOWN SOLDIER (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11094)!

Here's Novelty Press' answer to the Human Torch: SUB-ZERO (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11092)!

A pair of crime-fighting conjurors, YARKO THE GREAT (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11095)and MARVELO, MONARCH OF MAGICIANS (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11087)!

Lev Gleason's super-speedster, SILVER STREAK (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11089)!

And after the fire, after all the rain, he will be THE FLAME (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=11093)!

Not to familiar with those Golden Age Guys, but I did once have a 1970's DC Unknown Soldier Comic.

Most of these heroes can be found in the collection Supermen! The First Wave of Comic Book Heroes 1936-1941. (http://www.amazon.com/Supermen-First-Comic-Heroes-1936-1941/dp/1560979712) Excellent reading for the Golden-Age fan.

I'd love to see some EC comics characters get this treatment. The golden age capes & tights characters are nice to see, but there is more variety to be found from the time.

Knew this guy... so thats 2... not too great on my part.
Most of these guys were picked up by Dynamite and used in project superpowers drawn by Alex Ross. Not reading it, but enjoying the concept and Ross awesome artwork!

Well, just about all of my customs are done on commission. So if that's what you want to see, I can make it happen. Just PM me!

The Flame is very well done. Marvelo's eyes aren't your best work, but otherwise these are great as always.

Icicle's Dial for Mr. Zero...why not just stick him on a Rookie Mr. Freeze

"I WAS a Great Batman Villain...."

Thought about it, but liked Icicle better for points.
