Hey all!
I wish to build a Sinestro Corps team. Here is what I have so far:
AA Arkillo 126pts
AA Lyssa Drak 72pts
AA Amon Sur 70pts
BN Scarecrow 85pts
AA Manhunter 64pts
Yellow Lantern Object 5pts
I should be getting a AA Yellow Lantern 65pts soon (hopefully) and another Manhunter at some point. I doubt I will be able to afford CR Sinestro EVER. Though I might be able to get a Vet Legacy Sinestro in the coming month.
I am looking for Golden age build ideas at 300/400/500/600 point levels. I am also looking for strategies that one would use with each build.
Thanks to all who reply!

Don't forget the AA Batman, Supes Prime, and Grodd...they are Sinestro Corps too!!! But if you are like me, and probably are since you can't get that Sinestro, you can't afford those either. So lets get crakin'!
The unfortunate thing about most of the Sinestro figs is they aren't powerful enough. However here are some things that I like.
Lyssa is great for having that tk on the first click, perplex/outwit/barrier are also really good on her as it will help make your lanterns a little more playable and keep your opponent at bay.
BN Scarecrow can be good. Again, Perplex really helps the corps get better and having super senses when he is down on health is invaluable. His SP can be lethal, especially if you perplex the damage but sometimes it just doesn't get the job done as his av isn't the greatest in those last few clix
AA Yellow Lantern I don't see as a very good piece. I really only see him as a tie up fig bc or his plasticity. Energy Explosion and Pulse Wave are nice but with a low av it makes it tough to hit consistently.
Amon Sur has great mobility to carry your only wingless fig (lyssa), also has perplex, and 2 bolts if you ever need it.
Arkillo is a beast - 9 clix of health! Sustains 3 damage the entire way and then gets 4 damage in his last 2 clix, great dv, decent av, has flurry and steal energy on the same click, super strength, and an SP that gives you charge and flurry! Best of the figs you have!
Manhunter is okay. The incap and outwit sp is great but with low av's it'll be hard sometimes to get incap to work and outwit is only good on non-defensive powers. On top of that, he has a really short dial - even with steal energy it will be hard to keep him alive.
So, teams - I really don't know where to go from here but I'll throw something out there!
One of each fig, plus the lantern will be 487 points so you could run it as a 500 point team.
Arkillo, Lyssa, Scarecrow, Lantern Object looks like a decent 300 pt force (288 pts)
Arkillo, Lyssa, Amon Sur, Manhunter, Yellow Lantern (no sp object) is 397 pts and can be a good 400pt squad.
Look into doubling up some characters too like:
Arkillo x2, Lyssa, Amon Sur, Yellow Lantern Object is 399 and a really good looking 400 pt team
I hope this helps a little, this is my first experience putting together a Sinestro Corps team!

Pupulesurfer,
I know you said this is your first Sinestro Corps build but thanks for the insight! (Rep!)
And unless someone else is bringing it to a match, no I will never get one of the chases. (There are NO AA (or for that matter HoT) boosters anywhere within 25 miles of me.... I checked.
Thanks again!
The CR Sinestro is a fun piece (on Sinenstro Corps teams), but only if you play it very cowardly. If you are an aggressive player, it is better (IMO) to add more Manhunters!
That being said, here was a 500 point team I built but had not played:
146 Sinestro (CR, or Legacy)
126 Arkillo
85 Scarecrow
72 Lyssa Drak
70 Amon Sur
I have seen Yellow Lantern (the character, not the object) work, and also Grodd (without the TA cheat) so if they become available do not automatically pass them over.
The AA Manhunters are no slouches, especially with the mini-Outwit.
If you must use an object, I think the Blue Lantern (?, the one with TK boost) may be better.

I happened to pick up a Legacy Sinestro yesterday along with a AA Manhunter. Another one should have arrived already (I am getting upset with the Post Office!)
Which Grodd (Sinestro Corps right?) and what is the TA cheat?

The Grodd that has the Sinestro Corp keyword is the LE. His card says he is a Wildcard but his dial has no team ability and technically you should follow the card.
Don't overlook the Yellow Lantern. Someone above me says he isn't that good but honestly I think otherwise. His second click with the 18 Defend is not the easiest thing to hit (but it can be done).

Technically you should follow the errata in the player's guide...sorry, but no TA on Grodd.

What he said.
Besides, the rule of thumb is 'go with the dial unless told otherwise'.
On topic: I'd like to try the Legacy V Sinestro with the The Society ATA sometime. Probably teamed up with Arkillo, Lyssa Drak, Scarecrow and Yellow Lantern for a 500 point team.

Here's what I played at a 600pt Golden Age tournament.
146 Leg V Sinestro +Alias
72 Lyssa Drak +Brilliant Tact
126 Arkillo +Protected +Drag
85 Scarecrow
70 Amon Sur
64 Manhunter
1 Lian Harper
Items = 1 light, 1 turret, 1 meteorite
The only thing I would change is to drop Alias and Drag to give Sinestro Protected. Regardless I took 2nd going undefeated out of 3 rounds. I would have gotten first but the other undefeated person had more points. My problem was running into Apocalypse in rounds 2 and 3 and having them use him (annoyingly) has a ranged attacker.
Still, worked pretty good!
don't forget the big fig knight sinestro!
