OWAW Superman VS Nightcrawler

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of VS. This next fight promises to get alot of mixed fealing about who just might take this one!!

In this corner: The people of his home planet Krypton called him Kal-El but here on Earth we all know him as (OWAW) Superman!!

In this corner: This small Blue and hairy X-Man goes by the name Kurt but you all know him as Nightcrawler!!

OK everyone lets hear your thoughts on who's gonna take it home. Will Superman stomp a mudhole in Kurt and walk it dry? Or will Nightcrawler make Superman cry like a little school girl with a skined knee? Stay tooned and cast your votes and thought on whos gonna take this round!!

As much as i like NC, Supes will take this one for the simple fact that NC cant touch Supes with his Imp. and the soaring/HS combo. (cruise down, shoot, soar.) Even on the indoor maps, NC still has to get BtB and do a HS attack or a critical hit to touch him. Something Supes just will not allow.



So to boil it down: Supes. No contest.

I'm picking Superman, as without three straight Critical hits, Nightcrawler can't even hurt him.

Also, on the outdoor map, Superman soars and Nightcrawler can't touch him.

And, finally, even with an indoor map, Superman has a ranged attack ... Nightcrawler doesn't.

This one's not even a contest.

If, I am not mistaken, Supes will take it each and everytime, or it will be a draw if nightcrawler can keep out of supes' range. The elf only does two damage and Supes soaks up two damage. Unless he actully leaves himself B2B with Supes, AND Supes actually keeps himself B2B with the crawler. Supes is all the way, hands down.

How is this a fair fight? owaw is 236 points while Nightcrawler is only 85.

I would hope superman would win this one.

Ok, I've happened upon these threads of yours a couple times now. OWAW Superman in a one on one contest can beat any figure in the game including Sentinel and Sinestro without ever taking a click of damage if played correctly. He should really not be allowed in your tournament.

Superman can't take either Sinestro or Sentinel (at the 300-point level) on an outdoor map, given perfect play on both sides. He can do it about 60% of the time at the 200-point level.

On an indoor map, Supes is even more powerful because he can dart through 1-space doors that the big figs need to shoot through to come after him.

Sinestro has a small advantage over Sentinel when facing OWAW Supes on an indoor map because of its late-dial Barrier. But it's very small; Supes should be able to win 95%+ of the time.

Agreed Nevest. Thankx for your words. I will keep that in mind for future battles. We had thought about this fight for a while cause of Nightcrawlers popularity, we wanted to see if he had actually lived up to his hype. "Well he can phaze anywhere he wants (Thats within his movment) plus he has a 50% chance of not getting hit." These were basis for this uneven match. I promise you all that, this uneveness will stop after this battle. Just wanted to see just how good everyones favorite unique was. Thankx everyone for reading our series.

as far as 1 on 1 owaw can't be beat but he is completly impractical in any 400 point or lower teams. How ever NC fits into teams just nicly. So the big quetion is WHY IN THE WORLD DOEC OWAW SM HAVE LEADERSHIP?????????!!!!!!!!:D

Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler did surpirisingly well due to his not being hit about 40% of the time but it proved to be usless in teh end cause ol' Kal-el took Kurt to school every single one of the battles. This was how we thought it would go as well, but due to Nightcrawlers popularity, we wanted to see if he actually would do well against a "Big hitter". If you want a more detailed report, PM me and I will get one to you ASAP. Stay on the look out for our next battle!! I promise it wont be as predictable as this one was..
