Crimson Dyanmo???

Sorry fellow heroclixers, I was anticipating somthing cool today, and was pretty underimpressed. Mostly, because Im not too familiar with Iron Mans Villians.

I guess I'll have to wait for Gambit.

Why do people have to think that something 'sicks' or 'not be impressed' if it happens to be something that isn't there personal favorites? I mean, it is as if it isn't THEIR WAY all the time, then Whiz Kids isn't doing there job or something.

I can't say that I am a huge Iron Man fan or anything. I really don't care one way or another about the Crimson Dynamo. There are many other figs that I would like to see. Still, the fig looks alright and I understand that there are people who will love seeing it. Considering they have not put a preview out, with the exception of Elektra, that hasn't been one that I have been hyped to see, I realize that it is someone else's turn.

Sorry to rant, it is just something that has been bugging me.

I don't own a single comic with this guy, but I think he's kinda neat, and was kinda looking forward to seeing him myself. (Guess I have a thing for guys in metal suits):D

All I have to say is.. ..who ever is painting this guy better not be getting as much as the people who have to paint the other figures! :D

OK. Not World shattering, in terms of favorite characters, but in terms of playing figs, he looks REAL interesting. Kinda like He-who-shall-not-be-named, only not so fragile. I bet you see a whole lot of him in tourney play.

Indeed, the sculpt is very cool, but the paint job is begging for some detail and weathering. Still looks cool though! I would love to see some more Soviet Super Soldiers.
It sort of looks like Crimson Dynamo is a "fixed" Firelord. He has the ability to do 5 damage with RCE, but at a higher point cost. His other abilities are different though - just a random observation. I think we can safely say Mandarin will be IM's arch-enemy, since the only other real possibility was CD.

I'm actually very impressed with how he looks and what his stats promise to be. I say, bravo to WizKids for this. I'd dig a Rocket Red in a DC set, too.

And if we saw a Titanium Man in Marvel, then we could re-enact a certain Wings song as a scenario...

Certainly better than another Wolvie, Elektra, or Hulk. ;)

I can't believe this.

We get Crimson Dynamo. Insane powered super-suit armor guy, right up there with Iron Man in the kick-yo-booty department, five clicks of damage on his vet's opening click, a surfeit of powers, flight, a perfect vehicle for fantasy or lead figure for a tournament team...

...and everyone wants to moan about how red he is.

Y'know, if there wasn't a rule about selling repaints, I'd start taking orders right now for pink or mauve ones. Would THAT make anyone happier?

Why not one of the Shadowcats, or Taskmaster, or even the paramedic or one of the ninja for that matter? Practically anyone from the new set would be about ten times more interesting than the Crimson Dynamo.

I think his paint job is pretty fitting considering the character. I mean in the comics he looked pretty much like that. He's Red and that's about it. It would be nice if he had some shading in the crevices and outlines but that would be good to do as a repaint. At least his Sculpt is cool and his power suite sound good.

I always loved him as a Baddie and it looks like this figure won't disappoint

Let's see we now have a plethora of high powered relatively well costed figures, however with the addition of the crimson dynamo we now have two figures who can do 5 damage each.

Immediately it occurs to me that in a 300 point game, firelord could be paired up with a black panther, crimson dynamo, and a couple cheap taxis. Very quickly you could KO clix with 10 clix in ONE hit. As it stands you can do 9 already with the combo of super skrull/firelord, but now you can do 10.... even vet firelord wouldn't be able to make it back to a medic if he's KO'd in one hit.

Position the panther for free, outwit defenses, taxi free (cheap avengers or wildcard taxi or two), blast for 10.

lesse 27 wildcard doombot? + 15 vulture = 42
+ 27 = 69
+ 134 = 203
+ blue firelord 71? or 73 points = 274

hmm medic for 16 points = 290 .. couple points short of a second medic..

This guy is just awsome. If anyone is disappointed because they don't know the character, just think "evil" Iron Man. I saw a blue version of him and it was nice and powerfull. To be honest with you the picture they show doesn't do him justice. The way he looks in person is that he's kind of charging head first at you with his arms a little back like he's not afraid of anyone. I know this because I saw him at the Envoy only show in NY. I was so happy when I saw him. He's a great addition to the game!

Though he's kind of a boring villain, Crimson Dynamo seems like he'll be a very powerful figure. He's pretty much just Firelord with Invulnerable.

I would have to disagree that Crimson Dynamo is a boring villain, and also with him being smiply an "evil" Iron Man. More accurately, he is a Russian Iron Man. Depending on who's writing him, he's not necessarily evil - just not a capitalist. And he's been a pretty dynamic (har har) character, going through some interesting personal conflicts while serving his country. Sometimes he just does what they tell him to do. Sometimes he questions what he thinks is a corrupt politburo. I think he defected at least once. As well, several different people have worn the Crimson Dynamo armor, so the character has changed in that respect.

Thank you for explaining the character to me a little better indeed. It makes me like his addition in Heroclix Xplosion a lot more, and it does sound interesting.

Btw- to other poster. Because I am not impressed with a figure, in this case only at a first glance, that doesnt make me greedy or pissed at Wizkids. I work for Wizkids. I was saying I would have rather seen another character. I love Wizkids and their products, if I didnt I wouldnt be here, In no way am I "dissing" wizkids.

I think before you rant on me and whoever else you should reread the post and use better judgement in what exactly was said, feedback to a product release doesn't deserve an outlash, I was in no way disrespectful, you shouldnt be either.
