Ok somebody help me out here. The other night I was playing some friends when one of them tried to MC my Darkseid with Prof. X. He made the roll. I then made my impervious roll. The other guy we were playing with said I could not roll for impervious because the attack was doing no damage. I told him he was full of it but he kept on going on an on. So I rolled for it and lost. It is my understanding that you can use impervious on any attack except those that do splash damage. Is that right?
Impervious will activate if your figure is the direct target of a successful attack (close or ranged).
This is why Impervious will not work against Splash.
Poison, Force Blast are not considered attacks and cannot be avoided as well.

But what about MC?

A successful MC attack falls under the category: "direct target of a successful attack (close or ranged)" that Tsannik pointed out.
So Impervious can make an avoidance roll against an MC attack.
The exception being if the MC'ing figure has Psychic Blast, which ignores damage reducing powers like Impervious. So if Darkseid tries to MC Superman, Superman cannot roll for Impervious. Dove could roll for Super Senses against Darkseid's MC, however, since Super Senses does not fall under the category of damage reducing powers.

is fuzzy right? i went over the PAC and i even came across this one time, althought everybody agreed that impervious still rolls for a miss...although not against pyschic blast for sure, right?

Fuzzy is correct.
Any targetted attack against Impervious triggers the avoidance roll - targetted attacks can include non-powered range & close combat attacks and Powered attacks (B/C/F, Mind Control, Incapacitate, EE, single PulseWave, TK, Super-strength object attacks).
If you add Psychic Blast to a range attack then PB will negate the avoidance roll of Impervious. Psychic Blast causes the attack to ignore all the effects of Impervious (avoidance & damage reduction).
So PB + MC = no Impervious roll or PB + range attack = no Impervious roll, etc...
What confuses people is in thinking Psychic Blast is an attack - it's only an extra that gets added onto a range attack. Similar to RCE (an add-on to non-powered range attacks), or Enhancement (a bonus to range attacks) or CCE (an add-on to non-powered close combat attacks).
Psychic Blast does not affect Super-Senses so that power can still roll to avoid range attacks with PB.
