I'm trying to create a DC scenario involving various artifacts from the DC universe.

So far, I have ideas like Kryptonite, a Green Lantern's ring, and Nth Metal.

Any other ideas?

How about seperating those a little.

Do red and Green Kryptonie.

Green Lantern Ring and Power Battery

How about something from Steel.

Batmobile or something similar.

How about Hourman's Power Pills

Dial H for H.E.R.O. device.

Green Arrow's Bow or arrows

Legion Flight Ring

Thats all I can think of right now.

artifacts as in "cosmically powered"?

dr. fate's helmet
superman's city in a bottle
batman's utility belt
that thing that makes people hero's (new comic called "hero")
the authority's bleed ship (yeah, i know, but DC owns it....)
Steel's ageis armor
wonderwoman's lasso
the rock of destiny (where captain marvel draws his powers...)
the forge of the future smiths
atom's mini white dwarf star

and the list goes on and on.....

Don't forget Starman's Power Rod, too.

Here is something I like to do.

In this case I would tell everyone in advance that we are going to do a scenario where I was going to have artifacts X Y and Z. And that your team is trying to find them and that they will have to prevent their opponent from getting them.

With some small guidelines; like 1 page max and each Item has to be described fully, and why this team was assembled, I ask them to write the scenario for me. Due the night before the tourney. I read them and sometimes get help from another judge and choose the one we like the best. This becomes a second contest outside of the tournament. I personally (and this is my choice) will give a prize, which has been in the past a Spider Man promo or a Batman promo, once I gave tickets to LOTR II.

My players are real creative and have a lot of fun especially when I read their scenario for the tournament.

So I guess I am suggesting that you ask your players which Items they would like to see the most.

Have fun.

Batman's giant penny.
One of Penguin's umbrellas.
Mr. Freeze's gun.
the skull that Grodd is always carrying around. :}

A Kryptonite scenario sounds good, you could make it so all Superman allies (and Superman himself of course) are effected by the element.

Whoever wields the kryptonite can 'turn off' any of Superman's abilities (similar to outwit), in particular his Impervious.

A Green Lantern scenario sounds cool as well; just think, any figure who picks up the ring gains a number of special abilities or combat value bonuses.

By the way, I downloaded that Fantastic Four movie last night. Watched it, almost killed myself laughing so hard, felt sorry for the Marvel company after it. It's was a good idea, they just needed better actors, a bigger budget, a better script and a less goofier Dr Doom. Heck they need a new film all together. :p

Nice idea with the Kryptonite & the H.E.R.O. device. We need more items that would work with existing figures, but I have none at present.

The H.E.R.O. device - could be placed in the middle of the board. Every player adds a thug to his force. First one to the device swaps out thug for the figure of his choice (or his opponents? or use the dice to make it random? Whatever floats your boat!). Whoever gets the device carries it with him everywhere but sans typical object carrying rules (can't be thrown, character can carry other figs is a flyer, can use super-strength to carry an additional object, etc...). ONLY if this character is defeated will the H.E.R.O. device be left in that square. If anybody else has a thug left (players allowed only 1 each, I think) they can pick up the object themselves. Decide for youselves if this object should be "destroyable" before it's picked up or once its bearer is defeated.

Mother Box!

And if you are not familiar with Kirby's Fourth World, get your mind out of the gutter!

but the anti-life equation, seems like a good idea for a BIG scenario?!

Here's some:

The Flash's Cosmic Treadmill
JLA Transporters
Boom Tubes
Phantom Zone Projector
Aunt May's Depends >ha ha<

...if anybody has The Kingdom: Planet Krypton (I think that's what it was called. It had Batman in the Warrior's theme restaurant with several DCU artifact replicas around) you can probably cull some good ideas from there.

Any of Dream's lost items.....like his bag of sand, his helm, or his ruby. Powerful stuff right there, and the stuff was already lost, so its not an inplausible scenerio.

The Red Raider

The Batmobile (not to mention the Contents of the cave... the Penny, robot T Rex, etc)

Dream's/Dr Destiny's Ruby Materioptikin
Cat-Man's Cape and Cowl (heals the wearer 9 times)
Promethium (DC's Adamantium)
The magic Lasso
Katanna's soul sword
Mother box
The Flash's Cosmic Treadmill

Since the DC Universe is based on ours, just about every mythological/historic artifact has appeared at one point or another. If not, they're still fun to write stories around.

The Spear of Destiny
The Rod of Aaron aka The Staff of Moses
The Jar of Manna
The Ark of the Covenant
The Holy Grail
Excalibur (the sword, not the team of mutants)
Thor's Hammer
The Trident of Poseidon
The Forge of Hephaestus
The Bow of Artemis
The Flying Sandals of Hermes
The Crystal Skull

Ooh, here's a goodie:

Jimmy Olsen's signal watch!

The first one to it could summon Superman from the sidelines to fight for his team. Using the watch would be considered a separate action so others can blast J.O. (you could use a Thug for him) before he gets a chance to use it & claim Superman for their own team. I like this scenario because a cool as Supes is we rarely use him due to his high cost. The aforementioned JLA alarms could be used for a similar scenario only with any JLA member (player's choice or random).
