Ok, dapat matagal na natin ginawa to para pwede mag tanong dito kahit sino kung ano peso value ng kung anong figure!
Una:
Ano ba talaga sa tingin nyo value ng R Captain America?
is it 1k? 500-800? (nakuha ko sa booster yung sakin kaya i have no idea)
ano ba nagpapataas ng value? rarity? popularity? availability? lahat? in this case kasi, although rare lang sha, hindi gaano mataas ang rarity...pero popularity mataas...avaiability sobrang baba...
so ano?
best price would be around 700 max. the most expensive cap na nakuha ko was around 500php this was last week. hinde dahil sa mababa ang supply, marami satin dito may cap na kaya wala na masyado naghahanap. at usually un mga bumibili ng cap d2 collector nalang. sa mga players naman cympre uber fig si cap kaya dapat meron ka kahit 1 hehe at meron mga kagaya ni conrad na hoarder ng cap kaya ayon.
mababa availability kasi halos lahat tyo meron isa at hinde natin pinapakawalan. pero dito un, abangan nyo sa gh pag naglabas ng cap na walang card ayan magsawa tyong lahat muwahahahaha

I still think CAP is over rated. No, I don't think it's a BAD fig per se. In fact it is a quite good fig, but I think most GUYS are OVERPAYING for what it does. I bet it can't win a 100 pt tourney. (what do you think Joel??)

We all have our own perceptions and opinions regarding value. As always, I go by the rule let the market decide" because I assume that
1.) The buyer is responsible for his/her decision and it is ultimately their hard earned funds
2.) The market will dictate the price
Limited time offers mean that someone is selling in the states and its a free for all. Basically first come first serve. What I did is converted the dollar into peso and included all the overhead expense of shipping and customs then posted it in the trade thread.
In the Cap scenario, let me break it down to clarify things
Seller A is selling his Captain America for $13
Seller A quotes me for shipping and handling to the Philippines for $7
Total cost =$20*47 (paypal conversion) +40php for customs =Php980
I thought I'll post this as a limited time offer, if somebody wants it then i'll arrange it for P20 measly pesos. If not then the buyer moves on to look for another at a lower price and I move on to find someone willing to sell at a lower price.
Now it may have exceeded your perceived value and yes you can voice out your concerns, but then again to call me a smacker when I earn 20php if the item sells without even talking to me privately and getting my side of the story? That's a little low even for you. 1,000 is too much? maybe for you but not for the others who go on to e-bay and bid and wait for 7 days for it to end and pay $20+ then wait again for 1 week for their Captain America. That my friend is a fact, told not by me or anyone else but collectively the whole market. I always tell everyone that I base everything on e-bay. Who are you to call them dumb and desperate? Are you smarter than all of them? WOW.
You might counter by saying that e-bay caters to the international market and that in our country the pricing is different due to various reasons. I would simply say I get my figs from abroad so I have to follow their trend.
So you see, each one of us has a different perception and I'm sorry that e-bay doesn't agree with you. Maybe you could do what e-bay does only limit the bids by the buyers or limit the seller's selling price? I don't know.
True, you might find it cheaper somewhere else like you said you got it for 500php last week. Then congratulations on your buy, you can simply suggest others to do the same and look elsewhere. There's no need for personal attacks whether it is targeting me or the would be buyer.
I'm sorry if you think I can't read between the lines. Simple computation lang kasi ginawa ko. + - lang.
People texted and I told them I'm sorry but I simply can't reduce the price anymore for reasons implied above. If I could I would have but I can't. Buyer moves on end of story. I suggest you do the same.
dederechuhin ko na kung gusto mo. to be honest don't tell me wala kang kinita sa mga nabebenta mo, 20 pesos para sa effort? please wag na tayong maglokohan I know the market VERY WELL to understand magkano ang mga presyo, first point in case MATAAS ka magpresyo normally hinde ako mag rereact pag nag bebenta ang ibang tao dahil business nila yan. pero marami nagrereklamo sa prices mo bakit mataas, I wont name names or point at who BUT there are numerous, don't try to be a good samaritan and say you are not in it for the business of earning. but enough of it, magbenta ka ng usual mo kung may bumili good for you, pag wala eh d malas. One of the main reasons baket nawalan ako ng gana mag clix is because may mga tao mas inuuna gawin negosyo ung clix bago laro.
on a side note : EBAY is NEVER a good benchmark for prices of ANYTHING. EBAY is overrated and over valued to be used as basis, the only reason EBAY exists is because it is the ONLY online free market in the world na mabibilhan mo ng mga hinahanp mo.

Actually playing devils advocate here, may point ang parehong side, I really don't see the problem with both opinions, i mean we do buy the figs so there is certainly a business element for it (whether para kumita or to discard of extra figs). Either way whether this was clix or magic or any other game may presyo naman talaga involved so whoever posts their own price has the right to. As far as kung the price is masyadong mataas or mababa, let the market decide. As much as we want to put our personal opinions on this, to each his own I say, anyway we are all adults. Kung ayaw naman ng tao, walang kukuha eh. Although on the other hand, if you do post a high price, be ready for people to respond, good or bad, panindigan mo na lang...
Pero let's not resort to personal attacks sa board as its not going to go anywhere...
I actually like this discussion medyo maayos pa nga tayo compared to other boards.
Back to the question at hand, personally, my range for a cap would be from 500 (low) to 800 (high), again my reasoning is that he is a prime example of a useful piece for his points, although hindi siya be all and end all, after the first 3 clix wala na meat shield na lang and hirap siya sa indoor map. Again I agree the price is due to the availibility, but I believe hindi glut, kasi especially kung newbie ka or you were one of those that did not invest in Hammer of Thor, it would be very hard for you to find this fig as those who would tell you if you read the pulls thread abroad, Cap was the hardest rare to get (usually 1 per case, if at all) Add his usefulness and popularity, there was actually a time na umabot siya ng twenty dollars sa market, although bumaba na siya ngayon at around 12 to 16 dollars na lang siya online, but again availibility is an issue. If you were able to get your cap at 500 (or even less than that) at this point good deal na iyon, pero I wouldn't be surprised if that would go higher (pero again ceiling would be around 800 for me)

Wekk to be fair to hans, your price is your price, but be aware that there are also new guys in our community who might get a shock out of seeing the glaring prices some figures are and it might even turn them down into entering the hobby of clix. I have witnessed these things happening before wherein a prospective new member just quit because he was complaining of high figure prices without actually asking around first. (this was pre avengers era) my apology if my opinions resulted in attacks on your part, but I stand by what I said about making clix into too much of a business is bad and not healthy for our community as a whole. I have been thru clix for almost 8 years and have seen the highs and lows of both the game and the community, it would be beneficial to all if we could protect ourselves and other potential new guys from the initial scare that might happen due to too much buying/selling.

Eto nlang, dont post your figs price pag you think titirahin ka ni Pat at Joel in the end pag feeling nila eh napaka taas na ng presyo nito. We all learned from Joels Death 1 tourney ...although kumita din ako dun by sponsoring Arthur to win in the finals. :p;)

but, seriously this is a nice thread TO POST the average price of each fig so us newbie sellers/buyers would know. yung tanggap ng majority. kung may nalaman na price na over or under than the given average price, let's ask muna the basis where he/she got that price.

And just to put my 2 cents in (di ko matiis eh hehe): Masarap pumulbos ng over-rated figs with CURs. Chase Supermen? Pinapak ng PBB Teen edition. HoT Cap? Ni-rape ni OOTS Batman. Galactus? Ni-rape din ni Batman! :p

I disagree, the cheapest for prime at this point would be around 1,800, dollar value na is 40$ averaging the US market and since we are slightly lower, the low would be around 1800 (pinaka mababa na yung 1500, so if you get at that price or lower, lucky you) and the high would be at around 2500...

I think sa atin, sinestro would go for 1.5 (low) to maybe 2.2 (high), medyo bloated na kasi yung 70$, which is ceiling u.s. price, and since we are usually lower, I think that would be the better price point for that... As for the 1.5 na prime if someone offers you at that price mura na iyon and get it, pero personally if i were the one selling 1.8 talaga...

Sa observation ko before depende sa ACTUAL price nung fig. HINDI constant yung conversion rate. For example if the dollar price is $1. The conversion is anywhere from 1:20 up to 1:25. As the price goes up, the rate goes higher. In all honesty this is an OLD observation, so it could be FALSE at this point. Just my 2cents (which converts to about 0.50 Php)

Martian Manhunter CJ- 800-1k eto medyo mahirap na maghanap price is usually due to its collectibility rather than usability
Winter Soldier Ave- eto medyo useful kasi 400-600 (yan ang dating alok sakin ni cons)
Sentinel- anong sentinel to? ung luma? pag maganda pa condition pwede pa 300-500
hayate - as far as conversion rate is concerned my general method is 1$ = 50 and then decrease from there para madali magbilang, especially now that the dollar rate is a dollar to around 45 - 46 pesos, but you also have to take into account possible shipping cost, especially if the fig comes from abroad, generally we are around 10 to 20% less cost wise compared to the actual us price so if a fig cost something like 35 dollars, I'd consider around 1.2k to 1.5k an ok na price (like thorki)...
Iron Cowboy: This is just my opinion, and not definitive, may range value
Spiderman 2099 - 700 to 900 (sculpt is one of the best dollar value pretty much at almost 20 dollars, the top sr to get from fantastic forces value wise)
spiderwoman U - 250 to 350
Martian manhunter - 300 to 450 (collection purposes lang at this point, devalued by the new cookie martian manhunter)
Winter Soldier - 500 to 700
Sentinel (SI) - 500 to 700
Sentinel armor wars - 250 to 350

well from a collectors point of view mas maganda makuha ung watchmen...from a players point of view I'd go for WOS any day. The pieces in the WOS set are just too good to pass up, and for sure by the time the dust settles ubos na ang WOS at may mabibili ka pa din watchmen set.
but if you ask me, kung kakayanin ng budget I'd get both. but for me WOS muna, I am a bit iffy about the watchmen set.
I'd get both as well, am not a fan of watchmen, but some of the figs are just too good to pass up, also the problem with the watchmen set, medyo pricey siya so after the initial na dala nito dito sa Pinas, I doubt kung may mag-rereorder na retail kasi malaki talaga siyang investment, yung WOS pwede naman mag-reorder so I can handle not getting a lot immediately maski pa-booster booster muna which is more of my style actually heheh

I would suggest heavily against getting the dr. manhattan colossal. NECA will be releasing a retail version that will have the same dial but a different paint job.
the retail would roughly be the same price as the con exclusive one. WOS is a one shot production run, once naubos wala ka na maoorder, this was the clear policy NECA made when they took in heroclix, Isang print run lang ng product then on to the next expansion, no more reorders.
so, better kung WoS muna before Watchmen?para sa mga wlang budget like me who cant afford to buy both..

uhuh and troll and toad usually bloats the prices once product has been released, happened to me numerous times thats why I never order there unless I have to. And cympre pag collector ka hahabulin mo ung SDCC edition kesa sa retail edition.
unahin mo muna WOS, dahil oras na naubos na un wala na.

Pat, kung may magbibitaw ng 2k ako ang kukuha hehe, pero my logic for 2.5 is that's usually the lowest you can get a chase fig for at this point (50$ range) , parang the highest for an SR for me would be 2k to 2.5 ala sinestro, or superman prime
meron na nagbitaw ng 2k nyan, ako, binenta ko sa isang collector sa galleria. Even before ung 2nd kong ganyan natradan lang namin ni cons ng 2k-2.5k worth ng SR at iba pa.

I agree with xtriker's price guide, but I think we should make a leeway for special rares like (ehem) HOT Cap, usually in each set there is one rare figure that is harder to find than the rest, usually showing up one per 2 cases, in HOT it was Cap, B&B had Wizard Shazam (although since he is not well known and the dial is just okay average price for him is usually just P250), so there might be one for this set also, depending on usability and character recognition for this set it looks like that might be a race between nightcrawler and wolverine , troll and toad already has at nightcrawler at $5.99 and wolverine at $6.99 so it might be out of the realm of possibility (based also on his usability and power set), that one of them may go as high as 500, the only thing from preventing nightcrawler from going any higher than that might be because he is unique, as for wolverine depending on his usability and how many people might pull him eventually, his price might go higher or lower as time goes on. Again this is just speculation, we will eventually get a clearer view of the market once the actual release happens (less than 3 days to go!), but my personal fearless forecast (currently anyway) is that Nightcrawler might be the keeper rare for the set.
As for the SRs, this one might be a touchy subject right now, because of the collation of Web of Spiderman, there is a chance for some SRs to go higher than the usual. I mean most modern age SRs usually ranged from P300 to 1K before, but Superman Prime kind or broke that mold with a previous high of 2.5K (now stabilizing at around 1.8K) and the HOT SRs like Thorki (1.5K), Volstagg (1 to 1.2 K) and ultron (from 700 to 1.2K), and lets not forget the 70$ average price tag of Sinestro Crisis (if you find anyone actually selling this to you locally then good for you!). But personally I think for ceiling price I don't think that any SR will go for more than 2.5K as that is chase price category. For this set the only fig that I could see possibly going that high would most likely be Cosmic Spiderman, but again this will depend on how hard he will be to get. Interestingly enough, the most expensive SR based on troll and toad is red hulk at 35$, but I personally believe that while the sculpt is good, the dial makes it simply a collector piece that will make its value decrease as time goes by. That's why I personally don't like the 16-SR collation as it increases the value of SRs to a level that is a little bit ridiculuous and would make it hard for collectors to complete the set.

for SR my bet would be both on cosmic spiderman and ironman/warmachine.

Yeah, the new collation stint will inflate the prices of SRs somewhat. It's not something I'm looking forward to...:ermm:

I think nightcrawler's price will be high because of collector's value, not playability. Bullseye is more versatile than Nightcrawler. Also, Bullseye's traits are not limited to ranged combat. he can still nerf nightcrawler if adjacent, and deal +1 penetrating damage with a light object if he has one - so stealth is not a problem.

While I agree with your assessment on utility, I see nightcrawler more of a very very useful support as opposed to bullseye, kailangan lang ng maayos na outwitter/ perplexer ni nightcrawler (like nickfury) and bullseye's cce is kaput or isang range attacker na solid, again positioning ang labanan diyan. Add to the fact that his points is almost half of bullseye makes him a tad more versatile to put into teams than bullseye, plus name recognition pa would make him the more likely candidate as the "chase" rare, pero again his uniqueness will definitely make his price increase stop at a certain level...

Guys,
Is there a way we can keep an "updated" price guide for the staples from the recent sets so it will be easier for the newbies to do trades/transactions? That way, we can avoid the grossly one sided offers etc They do this at the Neutral grounds site in the Magic the Gathering section. We dont have to list every single figure but at least the LEs, convention exclusives, promo figures, SRs, and the sought after rares. What do you think? Thanks.

Thats why sometimes the prices vary from player to player...ie the price of a HOT Cap for instance. If a guy pays 800 for it then its not necessarily wrong for him to do so, if thats the only cap available in the market for sale that he has acces to.
...Kahit parang smack, where else could you get one right? in the end, if it "feels" right, then take it. You get what you want, both parties happy. Sleep with a smile on your face even with an empty wallet....sweldo naman bukas diba?:laugh:

The fact remains that the faster way to get your figs are thru the local players and pwede pang tumawad na para bang nasa Divisoria ka lang. ;)

That's why I liked the fact that we opened this thread, it opens up the pricing discussion to a different level, what may be valuable to one person may not be the same value for another person, I think clixboy and stevenrogers both make valid comments...
Big issue really for value is availability, most of the time the easier to get figure or really bad SRs tend to sell cheap while those that are more well known, with really great usability and harder to find tend to price higher. You can actually infer sa troll and toad, but simply as a guide, the Philippine market is usually lower than the priceing ther by about 5 to 10 dollars depending on the availibility in the local market.
For the WOS the prices are still kind of up and down since bago pa yung set, but give it a few more weeks and we will have an idea of the approximate value of the figs hehe
As for the collectibility standpoint, this is a subjective really, some just collect their favorite teams, others try to collect everything or end up doing just that so for me its simply an issue of personal preference

Also, mga players na lagi ginagamit yun comic book hero nila... Yan ang true collector. I know folks who use their favorite superheroes even the stats of the fig turned less appealing. Supes, Spidey, GL, T-Bolts, Wolverine, kilala ninyo na siguro mga eto noh hahaha

Hi guys,
There is a new thread at the US trading discussion forums entitled "trading to the Philippines" complaining about/claiming that some "local traders" either send their package to the US late or do not send at all. This is very important to the Filipino Heroclix community as what anyone does or does not do affects the entire community. It is hard enough to conduct an overseas trade because of the long delay in transit and the increased postage that we do not need people in the US or any other country to lose faith in our community. I have traded to and from the US to the Philippines often enough that I know things happen like ( life, work, natural calamities, etc ) but the key is to be honest with your fellow trader....
A few tips:
1. Be upfront with your overseas trade partner in everything. Tell him you were delayed in sending because of work, studies, etc. He will feel better if you keep a constant communication with him.
2. Always say the transit time is 2-4 weeks EACH WAY so your trade partner will know what to expect and he will not complain if the package gets to him after 1 month or 2 months if he is sending first.
3. ALWAYS honor your deals. Do not let the other party wait and wait for your package and then tell him you are calling the trade off.
4. Do not make deals with the intention of not going thru with your end of the trade. It will sully the name/reputation of the Filipino Clix community. Where do you think we get the majority of our chases, LEs and in demand figures?
I am in no way a perfect trader but I would like to see our community grow. We need to nip this in the bud people. Thanks.
PS Please feel free to add to this. Maybe we should sticky an official how to trade abroad thread? The Filipino veterans like Conrad etc can draft the thread.

You're right doc alvin...we should do something about this and the trader concerned should honor his commitment no matter what. Be honest and always keep the communication with the other party open....if theres a delay, misunderstanding etc.
We will post the guidelines later... but bottom line is: to be trusted we need to honor our deals. And the rot of one will affect how the outside world sees us. Kaya to whoever it is here that's concerned...please remedy this... before we end up being by ourselves and not being trusted na by our foreign clix counterparts.

I think this applies to both local and international trades/transactions. If you commit to buying then push through with it. Sometimes people don't realize that time lost is a big deal.
also, the trader clarified it in his post that it was his part that took so long, while the filipino who sent his package arrived in 2 weeks. :D

no. it's about expectation. i expect to hit a 7 most of the time. if i MISS, it's OK. if EXPECT to miss 40% of the time. At 6 to hit, that's about 70% of the time. OK na yun.
you can't FEEL the EXTRA 8% after the roll. You should just TAKE it to account when making your rolls.

I' m not a HC trader but, I have traded with lotr internationally. Experienced what you are going through regarding your trades. So far, everything I have sent through RM, lahat naman natatangap. But, the key factor in this scenario are where is the location you're going to send & what post office you' re going to pick it up. The best post office so far, is Makati. Mabilis magbigay ng claim form. Maayos yung post office. & Walang Tanong. As for the location, try not to send sa US & Canada. Going there takes 3-4 weeks, minsan 5 pa. Ganun din sa atin. But I had trades from Spain, Brazil, Argentina & France, nakuha ko na items nila within 2 wks. same din sa kanila. So, if you' re trading sa US, get ready. kasi mahabang usapan yun, esp. if malaki yung trade.
If you' re buying din from online shops, Makati as destination pa din. Walang tanong tanong, provided na singles & not bricks.:cool:

I brought up the issue a while ago because it was posted on an isolated thread and I was hoping it would be resolved before it became a big enough issue that it would be brought to phantalien's attention and stickied to the trading discussion forums. Now the entire community will be hard pressed to get deals done. At least the stickied title is not " warning... do not trade to traders in the Philippines" Communication with your fellow traders goes a long way in clearing things up. Nobody's perfect so lets try to clean this up.

the sad thing is we all know how long it takes for philippine packages to arrive sa US, dapat handa na tayo sa time delay at sa travel time ng packages, communication is truly key, also dapat tanggalin natin ung mentality natin na aantayin natin lumapag ung package muna nila satin bago tyo magpadala (kung tayo may karapatan mang duda sa iba tingin ko vice versa din yan, sila din may karapatan pagdudahan tayo) pero gaya nyan tayo tuloy nagmukhang masama kahit hinde natin sinasadya kasi hinde natin binigyan ng sapat na warning ang ka deal na matagal ang packages natin. kaya kung ako nagpapadala sa US or Canada ng packages sa deal kahit medyo mahal binabayaran ko ung mas mataas na EMS shipping rate para kahit papaano 3 weeks ay andun na ung padala ko.

check troll and toad, convert to peso and then minus 10 to 20% is the rule I usually follow pag selling normal figs (sr is a bit different, of course it also depends on demand and availability ie deadpool), trading is another matter though...

Walang one site na be all and end all sa pricing. However, you can compare prices sa troll and toad, strikezoneonline.com (which has the lowest pricing) and popularcollections.com. Average from the 3 to get the range na pagbabasihan mo. So say if one site has it at $10, another has the fig at $7 and the last has it at $12 = average at $9-$10. Kaya troll and toad ang madalas ginagamit kasi dun ang usually highest appraisal :cool:

Ultimately, all this websites for pricing are guides. You have to determine what the figures are worth. i.e. at what price would you buy/sell/trade them.
sana we should have our own set of price list here. with the exemption of figs coming from abroad (na alam natin they are mostly from trades din and not bought), figures sold/traded here came from boosters bought locally.

Aray ko po! Superman SRs and chases hits another low on the secondary market. Yang mga yan ay nasa 15 dollars pababa (400 - 700 php).
Chases are 35-50 dollars lang. (1.5k to 2.5k)
now that HCRealms is providing a price range for the figures (found in the units section), maybe we can use them as basis for our pricing.:)

Maybe in the future, but no, right now the prices are overbloated. And there are a number of figs not even listed. Moreover, TCGPlayer isn't the most reliable price gauge for collectible stuff.

Agree and you should also consider a few points....
1. Troll and toad may have X item listed at X price but with no stock so that listed price may actually not be accurate. Same thing goes for X item listed at X price but with tons of non moving stock which may be a sign that the listed price is too expensive.
2. Completed Ebay auction prices ( NOT THE BUY IT NOW PRICES ! ) should also be taken into consideration as I feel they are the more accurate gauge of a particular item's demand / price
3. Shipping from the US for buys/trades should also be taken into account when considering the value of a particular clix. It may sell for a particular ammount but cost extra to ship/trade for.
4. Demand and rarity of the item is also a factor as you will be able to find a DC75 Ares SR very easily compared to trying to find a Horseman Con LE or Crisis Superman Chase or even any of the colossals....

Pero tama rin cla pat and charles, kanya kanyang style nlang yan.

Yup. Quite true. My advise is be consistent in the price guide you follow and not change from eBay to troll and toad depending on which site will Gabor you. :devious:

Exactly. Supply and demand is not the same in the US and here. For example, Rohjaz here is 2k to 2.5k right? In the US (Based on completed listings on ebay) his auction ending price is from $16 - $24 (mga 700 to 1,000 pesos?).
I've been transacting with troll and toad for 5 years now - their prices are good but do not indicate the real market price because they have a big mark-up on shipping.
Also echoing doc alvin - when you do your market research on ebay - use advanced search and check "completed listings only " and "auctions". Don't use the "buy it now" prices because this is usually 25% higher than normal price.

I also agree with this. As long as both the buyer and the seller are aware of the real prices of the product. If you choose to buy at a higher price because it is convenient, then that's ok - at least it's an informed decision.
***shameless plug*** - My vote for best prices are Patrick and Doc Alvin. Wala akong masabi - fair prices. :grin:

Here's some interesting information about troll and toad:
Another interesting thing about 'clix is in the secondary market. Troll and Toad has taken to breaking something like 100 cases for singles, flooding the market week one. The end result is that SR's and Chases are about as cheap as they're gonna get for the next couple of sets, before starting a steady ascent in price. This is pretty much the exact opposite of how things were when you left, if I'm not mistaken.
Not sure if it's true, but it would explain a lot. ;)
