Like Always Don't do these 3 things: Quote your role pm or the role pm of anybody else, talk about this game outside of this thread even via pm unless you are pm'ing a mason teammate or a mafia teammate, edit your posts. If you do one of these 3 things, you may be mod-killed to ensure the game's fairness.
Your Trait Picked Wither you were mafia or town or neutral, Not your Make-up!. That being said it was percentage based. For example the loose Cannon could have been town, mafia or neutral in this game i made the roll and placed you where you landed. not all traits had the chance to be in all 2 category and of course some had a greater chance of being good or bad. This was all pre-selected I just did it as it landed. :laugh:
Your make up picks your group. All town is together but each mafia is separated into their respected group. This does not mean there is a mafia for each group, there is a chance no one pick Alien as there make up or the ones that did rolled town. Also if a robot shows up to be mafia it does not mean all robots are mafia.
There are neutrals and have there own win conditions
Voting, Days and nites are the same pretty standard stuff.
Status Effects
slow status 25%- that they cannot vote and/or become silence(a roll for each)
Burn status- 50% chance the target action fails lasts 2 days
Shock status - 50% chance to have there actions MD lats for 2 days
At the beginning of each Night the roll is made to see if you are effected.
Have fun its going to be wild....

DAY ZERO
Metro City; The Pillar Of Justice. Crime rates are at a all time low and Heroes are beloved by all.
However today will chance everything; A Fireball is Plummeting towards the City. The smoke trail can be seen across the sky. The people on the streets point and awe at the spectacle. Little that they know the ball is really an Alien Space craft that has been heavily damage and is in free fall. The ship lands in the city's central park with a Giant CRASH. The hall rips open and the ship spits into two. Out of one end a group of metallic figures run out. Shortly followed by a group of strange looking creatures, they are scanning around the site, stop and point in a direction and run off.
Meanwhile in the Freedom Tower
The emergency beacon beings to flash Red. The Heroes of Metro City's Freedom Force quickly assemble in the tactics room.
Metro Man Stands at the head of the table.
"People this is a dark hour. We have had an Alien craft of some kinda crash into Center Park spilling out unknown Creatures, This comes at the same time as the Super villain Ward of the prison has vanished. WE have Villains and Aliens running a mock in our fair city. I want everyone into teams and to investigate both of these occurrence.
Elsewhere
A black fire lights up and a sinister face appears in the flame in front of a small few. "Help me Usher in Darkness and you will be rewarded, I give you freedom as your first payment." The group nods.
In Center Park.
Metro Man and other heroes explore the ship wreckage. "Any one find anything" asks Metro man. One member says I believe this section was the ship prison" Metro man flies over "Empty!, This is getting worse by the second! OK everyone lets get this stuff back to HQ for further examination." Metro man goes to pick us a section of the ship an loud Alien voice is heard (Translation Self Destruct has been activated)
BOOM

We need to get something done and instead of trying to get something done on a low end target...may as well go after a big target. Will help to guide night actions better as people are more likely to target Darq over say...Heroman. Most night actions gear towards a certain few players on night 1, which are usually Darq, Pax, and Rokk...and Darq is more then likely to talk out of those three on day 1.

Kind of an aside, but I wonder if this is supposed to be Freedom Force from the video game of the same name?
If so, awesome. That was one of the best superhero videogames, period, before the MMOs like CoH/V and Chapions Online were released.
Now back to our regularly scheduled game!

Night 1
The group scanned the area, there was no sign of their lost there pursuers. On altered the others to a metallic hero in there way. "Halt state your origin I do not have you in the Metro City Records) One of the Robots Let out a Sonic Screaming freezing the Questioning Hero. As the Hero tries to alter his teammates he feels an unbelievable amount of heat on his back. Before he can process what form of energy is hitting him he explodes. As the Smoke clears the group can make out figures approaching on holding a large Gun. "Its Them! Retreat" The Group turn and run in one of Metros busy streets right into the patrol of a flying Hero. "Stop there!" He shouts as he flies towards them. " One of the robots banishes a laser. The targeting scope locks on and the shinny finger pulls on the trigger. The laser cut into the sky like a hot butter through knife,The hero had no time to dodge the incoming attack he just braced for impacts. When Suddenly a giant wall of water cuts off the lasers path.

"that's the one" They shatter the protective glass and grab the talisman. "This will please the Shadowlord. now lets get out of there before the Freedom Force shows up!"
"Your going to have to change that to past tense! Freedom Force Engage!" The battle raged on Fireballs, Lighting bolts and ice shards are thrown about the room. One long capped individual places a shield around himself but its not enough to resist the income Freeze and electric shock. One other picks him up and press a button on his gauntlet. A series of explosion cause the roof to start to collapse the heroes quickly take to the roof trying to save Metros City's Museum. The Villains escape and are one more step closer to freeing there master.

A Red Hero flies through the sky as he sees a strange man just watching him standing over a cliff. He flies down
"What are you doing out here sir?"
"I watch. And you are in grave danger. your going to die."
"What did you just say to me!? your coming in with me"
The man does not move. Red hero hands burst into flames. "Don't make me force you!"
The man pushes him on the ground and jumps over the cliff. The Hero scrambles to his feet and flies down to the bottom of the cliff. The searches around but finds nothing.

Sorry I haven't commented before now, but I got a notice saying I was slowed for the next coand I wasn't sure if that meant I was definitely silenced right now or if I just had a chance at being silenced during the couple days. And I didn't want to post until the mod had a chance to confirm my condition in PM and get mod-killed if I was silenced.
Anyway, as you can see I am not currently silenced. But I don't really have much else to add. And as near as I can tell we're voting for dbauers... just because?

Well, I think we are at half now.
My vote IS there only for the half-majority. I will happily switch my vote over to anyone we should reasonably pressure. My actions last night didn't give me much to work on and neither does our quiet town.
In the interests of investigation, though, maybe we could get an answer to Pax's question earlier. I'm sure he must have asked it for a reason - Get1 and JRS4, are you out there?

It's not based purely on today's vote, but, you're right that there are others who could be scummy on that vote as well. It's just that Robo went first - and I'm not sure I believe that he wanted "the half" as it was pretty clear to me that was only a requirement last Day phase - so he gets the first pressure...especially taking into account some of the other things I noted.

Night 2
The two mighty figures clashed in the streets. "Tell me what you know!" Yelled the one on fire. The larger tank of a man ignored the commanded, his strong skin repels the heat. another shows up the large one pushes him away from the battle with a wave of his hand. The two break up and the fiery one takes to the air. the Tank is left on the ground when he sees Several balls of fire being hurled at him. "Grrr I hate fire..." he grumbles to himself as he covers up bracing for impact. He hears Splashes, he gets up to see a shield of water around him and his burns are now gone.

A trio of heroes are patrolling the Docks of Metro City when they stumble upon a group of men unloading a boat in the dark. The heroes quickly ascend on the men. They don't put up much of a fight for the heroes, and they know these are just hired thugs and brace for the real Villain to appear. An man with hair of flames pops up and attacks from a near by roof top. As the trio is also assaulted from another figure on the boat. One of the heroes quickly flies towards the roof top attacker. He casts a quick spell that hurls the fiery man back. The hero lands on the roof standing above the villain "You would know better then to stand against the Freedom Force."
"Oh Its not just me now Mocker... I've got back up!" The mans flames turn black as he grows a fierce aura. The Black flames surround the Hero, a scream of agony fills the air. By the time the other heroes make it to the roof there is just a pile of ash on the ground.

A car whizzes down the street. " I love this planet! these humans are so weak, did you see that earth robot I sonic blasted he was just standing doing nothing! We can be kings here!" **THUMP**
A man lands on the roof. "I'm going to have to ask you fellas to pull over!" He then swings around and knocks the driver out of the car, grabs the wheel and turns it hard sending the car towards a near by wall. He then leaps off the car and lands safely. The car crashes and explodes. The first The figures come out of the flames holding a giant laser. "Not bad, but still only Human." The laser fires with blinding speed, but not faster then one of the inhabitants of Metro City. In a blur the figure is moved from the beams path. Unfortunately for the one spectator behind the action had no one to grab him.

Add to that some guy goes by the name of thewholefnshow, he seems to be messin' around, and I'd like so ANSWERS!
That little crew there is causing me grief! I'd like to know what goes where and which way is up and down but I can't seem to figure it out!
I'd also like to hear from JRS. To the scummos/SK--thanks for not killing me while I was in Mexico. :p

Ok I'm here. Sorry had real busy weekend and work is getting crazy. We are getting ready for fall term here soon and I have tons of work to do.
Just got done repulling some defective data lines through an old building with lots of twists turns and crawl spaces. On the plus side I got to use our awesome drill to cut through about 8 inches of concrete.
My character is town aligned. I have a few one off powers. After I use them all some will reset. I wish I could say I have been in a write up but alas I have not so I can't point you to anything in particular.

Well inventor is kinda a safe claim to fake in that, there isn't one in every game, and it's hard to get tied down via actions (if you're trying to make stuff up) as you can claim different actions each night. Not as hard to BS as say "I RB'd X N1, Y N2, etc.).

Sorry folks. Been on the road today. Based on what I'm reading, it appears info on JRS4 is worth following. While I believe it's possible he's an Inventor'ish role - albeit not an outright Inventor, which I found an odd thing to say - I also feel the info gatherers trump that. Frankly, at this point, we're heading into "late hours" so swinging to someone else is kind-of unlikely and, at the very least, we've a voting record.

RE: this lynch on JRS4 - I am still not comfortable with this... ESPECIALLY in light of the full claim, mod confirmation of power result, AND the rush to dogpile at the end by two players. Now maybe JRS4 is still scum (I agree that there seems to be at least 2 mafias), but that was still darned suspcious of Robo and Morph.
Plus let's not forget that Pax had just as much on get as he originally had on JRS4, and yet not a single person (other than myself) even tossed a pressure vote on to get. Tunnel vision much, people? Would it have really killed us to investigate get a little bit before deciding to off JRS4. This whole thing smelled like a mafia rush job from top to bottom...

The Fiery man was still worried about the grim prophecy upon his head. "Have you heard anything I know the circles you run in TELL ME!"

"Oh you want to be intimidation? Fine!" The fiery man hand burst into flame as he grabs the other. The flies upside a nearby building and throws him on the roof.
"That hurts your lucky i don't have skin.. Listen I really don't...." **ZAP** a beam hits him before he can finish his sentence send him flying off the roof in a flash.
The fiery man runs to the roof side a sees whats left of him. He turns away shaken, he can't help but feel responsible for his demise. He quickly flies around looking for the killer. He sees nothing. Suddenly he is hit with a fireball and quickly returns fire. The to fire wielders duel to a stalemate but both are branded by the others flame.
A strange looking Humanoid is clicking a device. As he reads the the data his keen senses pick up the smell and sound of a laser power up. He looks up to see his very targets pointing a the laser at him. the Laser fires just before it hits a wave of water swoops him out of the way.

I think normalview is phrasing it pretty good: we had good reason to believe he was Scum until the Mod said something which then made most of us who were willing to be Reasonable back off a bit to further discuss things.
Those who were willing to keep bullheading forward - especially after Pax asked for time - seemed like they didn't care about Reason or were trying to shut things down before more info could be gathered (i.e. - something that could incriminate them).

Yes. It does. If there was a mafia hitman with a janitor power that wasn't being used, they are a fool. I'm guessing one-shot as well.

In my opinion, anything that takes information away from the town hurts the town more than the mafia. The mafia should be doing whatever it takes to hurt the town as much as possible, simply because that's their job.

Well naow, ah sho does hate it when mafayosos can be so predictable that based on the forsooth meta game jib jabbin hob nob I can pick em out by who done diddly targeted myself for potential unrest and legal terms such as Night One.
As that be the case, I would most be interested in letting Mr. WholeFNShow take the stand and would encourage him to not plead the 5th in this manner of the people vs.

I'm going to leave my vote on Robo (I don't trust him much, either) and I am hoping we can get some info, but if things look like they are likely to stall out, I am going to switch over teo hellskingpin.
Hells just need to give a good defense of why he is not scum and post so shady. He seems to be jumping around the point right now, and that makes him look more like scum.

Well he could be laying low cause he has a valuable power or because he's just quiet (some folks just are). But I am weary of the fact that he didn't vote for JRS4 until after the hammer. It's not uncommon for mafia to do this on a team mate they know is already lynched to try to seem townie. Especially since they would KNOW if the teammate requires a supermajority 2/3's vote or not.

I'm already suspicious of a number of the quick votes cast on JRS (remember that there seems to be two mafias) and all these additional votes on hellskingpin before he really responds smacks of much of the same.

Its just a regular mafia game but since the powers were preselected by the players (unknowingly) there is no guaranteed powers here and lots of repeated sets. so there could be 5 cops but no RB's for example it all matters on what powers were picked.
the only really twist is there are some powers that give status effects which are posted on page one.

The figure looks through the targeting lens. "Target locked!" The trigger is pulled. A blur of colors moves the target. The powerful beam hits a gas truck driving through the city, The explosion can be heard through out the city. One soul is lost in the fire.
"A few more pieces and the dark lord will be in our realm once again." Sinister laugh. a wall breaks down and a group of heroic figures flood in. "Grab the artifacts!" A battle breaks out. Powers are unleashed. On Villain goes all black "The Dark Lord does not tolerate those that oppose him!" Black Fire engulfs a near by hero and smoke fills the room. One of the heroes uses her power of wind to push out the smoke. The villains are gone. The heroes quickly check on there downed friend fearing the worst. A sigh of relief is let out when he gets up and dusts himself off and checks his belt. " man do i love my force-field generator right now!"

Bad news: my burns prevented my action last night.
