If i have for example a character with outwit adjacent to an opposing character who has stealth and is in hindering terrain and the green line of the terrain passes between the 2 characters, can I outwit the adjacent opposing character? My answer would be no because my character's line of fire passes through the border of the hindering terrain but I can still attack him in close combat... I'm asking this because if I'm right it doesn't have much sense to me...

Hello! Welcome to the weekly beating of the dead horse (no offense).
Line of Fire is required in order to Outwit a figure. Regardless of the range.
In other words, no. You cannot, unless you can see through stealth in some way, outwit an adjacent figure if it is in stealth.

I'm here. There's an enemy next to me, but there's a sheet on a clothesline between us. I can punch through the sheet and hit the guy, but I can't see if it is Superman or Daredevil, so I don't know whether to neutralize him by using Kryptonite or screaming.

When in doubt, always go with screaming. Remember that Superman has super-hearing, too ;)

If I were on the other side of a sheet and either of those were on the other side waiting to hit me I'd scream too.
*grin*
Rep for everyone in that exchange.
Edit:
Wow, I can't rep ANY of you.

I always scream when this happens...and it happens often enough that I'm hoarse 24x7!

got NV and Red King for you, but:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Harpua again.
To add, it may seem like nonsense, but look at Daredevil, he never can see you, but can still outwit you:)
But Daredevil can't outwit Batman behind the sheet because he can't see Batman! Not being able to see anyone doesn't bother him then. : - )

That's the common opinion, but hitting them out of adjacency, and drawing LoF to them are two different things.;)
They can't even perplex themselves if they have perplex and are in hindering with stealth:confused:
