I personally wanna see a more powerful Magneto come out in the Xplosion set (Maybe they could say this is the younger version of Mags, after he was changed from a child into a young adult). The current version has the biggest glass jaw in Marvel. All in favor say Yes.

I don't wanna burst your bubble, but we already know what's in Xplosion, and Magneto isn't....

Doesn't look like we're going to get a new Magneto this set. But hopefully someday we'll get a 150+ Magneto, I wouldn't even really care if they reused the same sculpt.. Just make him better and unaffiliated. The current Magneto is perfect for use on the Brotherhood team, but I think Magneto needs a version that reflects his sheer potential for destruction on his own. I'd say from a fairly modern era when he had all those acolyte's seeking him out viewing more as a god than a leader.

well i don't really know too much about comics before 1994 but i remember Magneto as not being so tough. i'll explain...
if i put any of you in a completly acrylic (plastic) room with magneto. nothing metal on you. hand to hand fight. wouldn't you just bash the guy's brain out ? Magneto needs metal objects to be powerful right ? and he has that on his dial, Telekenesis. His Veteran version seems about right to me.
150 pt magneto ? i doubt he's that strong.
of course i have a very very limited knowledge of the marvel universe, i only know tidbits here and there.
please correct me if i'm wrong
but does Magneto possess some type of projectile direct damage power such as Cyclops ? or does he just use his power to throw metal things into people ?
justin, Magneto is VERY dangerous. Thing is, you can't put it all in clix perspective.
He can throw metal stuff and such, but you forget that human blood has iron in it. And if I'm not mistaken, he can just coagulate your blood and you'll be dead right there and then. It's a lot like what Ice Man does nowadays when he freezes his opponent's blood.
Plus since he can control the Earth's magnetic field, he can just erect an Electromagnetic force field and stay inside it to protect himself.

Magneto is one of those character's thats as powerful as a given writer wants him to be. In theory he can control the iron in people's blood so he could do a lot of damage. Generally he just tosses them around but the potential is there. I believe he's completely immobilized large crowds before. Its been awhile since I've read x-men so I'm also a little fuzzy on things. I was gonna say I remember him emp blasting a large chunk of the world, but I now think he had nukes to help him with that.
I will admit he mostly uses his power to toss metal things into people, or just people into other things.
I pretty sure atleast one comic has him capable of doing enough damage to the earth's magnetic fields to pretty much make the planet unlivable. Not exactly a viable battlefield tactic, but still an indication of power.
The 150+ number I came up, mostly reflects the fact that he is the x-men number one enemy. With the brotherhood, without it, with acolytes, whatever he's the number one mutant threat. Superhero comics tend to one-upmanship. As new characters are added they have to rival or surpass the older ones in terms of power. Magneto's had to keep pace with the x-men to remain their greatest opponent. Remember, no matter how many x-men gather in one place when Magneto shows up he'll win the fight for the first half of the story arc before the heroes manage to pull out the victory..

All the info above does apply to Mags.
And Justin, you can apply the same thing to almost everyone. "Toss superman in a Krypotnite Cell".. etc etc..
..in otherwords, it's not a 'realistic' scenerio in the actual battle field. City's are covered with metal.. (above and below ground) ..not to mention metal ore deposites elsewhere. And anything you brought with you.;)
For many Mutants, the only reason they aren't a swirling mass of death, is because of restraint. (Magneto, Xavier, Cyke, Iceman for example.)

magneto not powerful???????? in a plastic room,......... he could easily freeze the iron in your blood and tear you apart,....he does it here and there in comics,....even the weaker clone version joseph could do it,...in epic proportion,.....in addition he could just throw up a force field to protect himself......even smash you intot he wall with it,...hes a bad dude......in anyway shape or form..................
lastly a 200 point version would be great or
make it a titan figure, on a huge base and him in the air with a large magnetic force field around him....give him a harsh 18 defense with invulneability and let him go form there,....force blast, telekenesis, perplex < cause he can manipulate metals in the area to throw peopel off or what not>

I'm kinda happy with the current Magneto, although I wouldn't mind seeing a Unique Magneto with an X-affiliation in his outfit when he taught the New Mutants

that's the Exp. version of the current Magneto.
If the designers make a new unique Magneto he has to be bad (no affiliation).
and he should be much more powerfull then he is now (for +/- 200 points worth of powers !), so that you could field an almost whole X-team against him and still let Magneto master of Magnetism win !

I like the idea of the big click with just a magneto inside of a hude magnetic field.
Any doubters about Magneto's potential should read the "Fatal Attractions" story, I believe it is out in a graphic novel format. In it he rips the adamantium off of Wolverine's skeleton, physically restrains ALL of the X-men and their extended family, emits a pulse wave that blacks out the entire world, and a bunch of other things. He at this stage is too powerful to translate into clix.

I gotta say I'm happy with Mags the way he is. If they decide to redo any Brotherhood guys I want a Juggernaut with charge.

I'd love to see a new Mags! Wizkids should consider redoing some villains over sets like they do the current "4." Of course they should keep the number of redos down to a minumum but Mags does qualify as one of those guys people would like to see redone along with Cap and Supes.

Magneto fig, hamster ball, Sinestro base? :D

I'd definitely like to see a new version of Mags. His current fig is just not very representative of his power.
Oo hamster ball Magneto sounds cool
Magneto DEFINATELY needs to be remade. After a click or two of damage, his Veteran loses all his punch, and that just aint Magneto in his most powerful form.

hampster ball magneto sounds uber-sweet.
