View Full Version : My first mafia! Scooby-Doo sign-ups

So I haven't been playing too long, but it has been pretty fun. Now I would like to try this game from the other side of things: modding!

Here's the deal:

- I'm looking for about 22-24 players. Since this is my first time, I'd rather not go above 25 (just saying in case, for some reason, this prooves to be really popular)

- I'm looking to start play early September, say the 4th or so. If we haven't hit 22 by then, I can delay for a little while. And if we get everyone signed up right away, we can start a little earlier, too.

- If this works out well for all involved, I've actually got some ideas on how to turn this into a series. So there's that, too...

Thanks for the tip. I searched both the results and dibs threads and no scooby-doo appeared, so here I thought I was being original...


I see why I didn't find it before: he forgot the hypen! Silly Wade, it is "Scooby-Doo" :laugh:


Anyway, yeah, no worries on duplication.

(Seriously, even if I didn't believe in supporting first timers I've a scary Scooby-Doo collection. :nervous: )

You don't really need to be. As long as you are aware that Scooby-Doo exists and are familiar with the basic premise of the show (solving mysteries that typically involve people wearing rubber suits), you'll be just fine.

So I was going to start this thing this weekend, however we are still well short of my desired minimum. Now maybe a bunch of people will sign up at the last minute and everything will go off as planned, but if there is not a glut of people suddenly realizing that Scooby-Doo is the dog's pajamas (and there probably won't be, since everyone already knows that to be true ;)), I put a question to you my players:

Would you prefer the game to start this weekend, albeit in a truncated form? Or would you prefer I give it a little extra time and see if anyone else signs up (I'm talking about an extra week max, I don't want to let this drag out forver)?

We'll be starting Tuesday, the 4th (probably noon-ish EST).

As of right now, the game is a little smaller than I had hoped, but I can definitely make it work. That said, if anyone wants to jump on board this weekend, please feel free to sign-up!

Now I am off to prep the Mystery Machine :)
