FCBD 2011-Two figures?

Next year has some (hopefully) amazing Comic Book films lined up. Thor kicks things off in May, and Green Lantern keeps it going later in the summer. Wizkids has traditionally alternated the FCBD support, and since War Machine was this year, it would seem that DC is up next.

Then I got to thinking-what if we got two figures for FCBD this year? And further than that-what if it was a two-pack? I would LOVE to see WK release the Crisis Green Lantern and Sinestro figures for Free Comic Book day. But I'd also love to see a two-pack of Thor vs. The Destroyer. It would go even further towards the "let's get new interest in the game" because you could stage battles directly from the movies with those pieces. So what do you think, and which would you prefer?

I do not believe that we will get a GL for FCBD, but I would love a GLvS for it!

I dunno - I think a two-pack is a bit much for a FCBD. Since there ARE so many movies coming out next year, I'd rather see them tie in more free promotions over a span of several months. For Example:


Thor Movie - Make a New Guy Night Thor and promote it that way.

Green Lantern Movie - Use this one for FCBD since Marvel had it last year.

Captain America - Another perfect New Guy Night piece.

And so on...

I think the movies would help bring in the new guys... and who WOULDN'T want one of the blockbuster guys as a figure (nothing against Spider-Woman from back in the day) but with a movie tied to it a NGN (or similar promotion) could really get a bit more traction.

I dont' remember any of the DC FCBD figures. I can only recall the Marvel ones. Somebody know which ones DC had in the past?

I vote for a single GL. 2 figures would probably make it too expensive for the smaller stores to get. Even at one figure, my LCS had a limited number to give out this year.

From a purely practical viewpoint, there's no way that Wizkids is going to do a two-figure giveaway. It's too expensive. When it comes to choosing a character, it can go either way. The Hammer of Thor version of Thor looks just like his silver screen counterpart. The Blackest Night sculpt of Green Lantern has got that awesome transparent green fist going for it to draw interest.

Where is the all of the above or other Option. I would like to see Marvel and DC Share the Love. Really we have really good Versions of all characters Mentioned, how bout some Supporting Cast. Lets get Ultimate's Nick Fury on a new base, and A Kilowog on a new base.

Batman was in FCBD twice I believe.
A repaint of the Icons Experienced with the same dial, and a different dial of the Origins Unique.

I voted OTHER: I think they should give us a FCBD starter set and make it the AVENGERS because I've read internet dirtsheet rumors that the AVENGERS movie is in the works!

I vote other. I vote for new fig(not a reprint). I like a Vet Captain America Idea, But I don't see them doing that for free. I really don't want a two pack or a single fcbd fig that was already released in a set. Make it like war machine. Should be in the set, but isnt and a nice surprise for everyone after the set was out.

There are far too many Green [multi-colored] Lanterns. There seems to be a Green Lantern (and Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman and Flash & / multiple variations thereof) in every DC set.

My vote goest to Thor (just a single, not double because I'm not greedy), an even better one than the one from HoT! A 13 attack and 19 defence would make him more like a DC figure!

That doesn't come out until 2012.

FLAMES! no i kid. And it is completely biased, but I thought a two pack would be a cool thing. See, that's the type of cool stuff you can expect when I am elected Emperor. The clix must flow!
