TAKING OUT INVISiBLE GIRL@!

Anybody have any great ideas on how to take out a team surrounding invisible girl??? It's tough to crack that 18D.. Any ideas for a 300pt team?

Perplex, perplex and then perplex AV up on someone with Energy Explosion. This will help if she is in Stealth mode. Hit one of the figs adjacent to her.

Doc Ock is cheap and has other uses too.

An entire team sharing Inv. Girl's defence should be vulnerable to a multi shot Energy Explosion. Ultron could do this and only need a 5-6 to hit the whole squad. If you could find a way to pack a shield or enhancement to the blast it would be really devastating, and hitting everyone for two to four clicks. A black cat would only make it that much easier.

Force Blast her into the open (and hopefully away from her team) and let your ranged attackers have their way with her. Or since she is away from her team, use this opportunity to start wailing on her teammates.

Another possibility is the Charge/TK combo. Use Telekinesis to bring your charger around and slam her. A good charger like She-Hulk can do a lot.

Or you can mind-control their big gun. Most MCers have a 10-11 starting attack, so if your opponent is using E Ultron in combination with the IG, mind-control Ultron to do a close-combat attack against her.

Better yet, how do you take out Invisible Girl if she's in the middle of one of those dang trees, surrounded by Doombots with a batman ally on their team and an Ultron to boot. TRICKY I SAY! VERY TRICKY! Can't shoot em and ya can't outwit em. What is a player to do?

Read up a few spots. Use your own Exp Ultron with a Vet Puppet Master (and a Sinister Syndicate member) and Mind Control his Ultron. Make his Ultron punch IG or better yet, punch the Batman Ally. Ultron's attack is high enough, that he sould hit rather easily. The key to taking down a MoD team like that, is to take out the other real team members. Take out the Sinister Syndicate members on his team. That's one less ability he can mimic. Repeat until you can take on the MoD members directly. All the while, using MC to keep his Ultron tied up.

On the bright side, most IG girl turtling strategies usually only in volve one shooter of any merit: usually a Vet Torch, or a Vet Bullseye. You could always use the good ole' Exp Boomerang/Vet Bullseye combo to break them up. Synister Syndicate team ability gives Boomerang an 11 attack on his first two clicks of double EE. Try to keep Bullseye healthy, and keep pushing Boomerang to damage the turtle. On his third click, he gets double Incapacitate, which will make it awfully hard for a turtling team to move around, since they usually rely on being able to move everyone at once.

i have a friend who uses that team with doc oct to perplex her defense to 19. so i made a dr doom team with the hydra ability using E doom and 3 doombots . one turn i did a total of 10 clicks of damage to the group huddled around invisi girl with energy explosion and one my doombots missed. the team is still tough to hit with that high of defense

Madrox, just so you know; Your opponent can not perplex her defense up to 19. Well, he can, but the perplex stops working at the end of his turn, so on your turn, it goes back down to 18.

use MOD and Superman Ally (to see through stealth) and shoot him with all you got !

There were several teams like this at my tourny place, so I used a team with Ultron, Steel and SHIELD guys. SHIELD boosted up the damage of energy explosioin, Steel provided X-Ray vision, and Ultron EE the H#$L out of the group. Other than that, most teams don't stand a chance.

That Namor thing is just a nasty rumor. It was the sixties, and things were "different" back then.

But seriously folks: B/C/F, SS, TK, what a joy to behold. 18 defense is nasty, but remember, they have to either a) start in formation, or b) get into formation.

If it's the first, than odds are, you'll be able to outflank their "gun" or just avoid it forever and wait for time to run out (I hate that second strategy, but against punks, it's sometimes helpful to remember).

If they have to move to get into formation, just be there first (and the means to it are legion).
