SO I'm pottering around EBAY, and I see a Heroclix lot for $15k! And not even a "every set made" kind of thing, it just had 520 pieces.

Well I had to know more! Obviously it was all the chases made, plus hundreds of the absolute best Uniques ever crafted...

It's nons. Old nons. Oh and there are lots of multiples of 3-5 of the same piece. And 20 of them are Elektras.

That's about $30 per non.

Search 'Huge HEROCLIX Lot of 520 Figures'.

ENJOY!

Either that or it's a cunning way to disguise payments for a big drug deal.

Frankly after they've bent you over for 15k, you won't even notice the $18 shipping going in.

Free shipping would have been nice, but they have overheads to think of.

I'd think that if you were to use ebay to traffic drugs, you'd probably make the auctions a lot less $ value than $15K. That gets noticed. $500 transactions, not so much. Wait, what?

"Don Giavanni, the box of old Infinity Challenge nons has arrived in an envelope."

"Excellent, inform our Colombian friends to deposit the 5 million dollars in the usual Paypal account. Remind them to mark it as 'Gift' this time."

Or even $50 lots. Have the product disguised by some sort of code, with the drugs going to whomever buys the most 'tickets'.

But I've said too much.

For 15 grand I want that delivered to my house by no less than 14 toppless women... and 16 bottomless women (mean no pants, not competitive eaters or sans tushies!).

Even better it is a BIN, and he is not even using BEST OFFER?!!

Hard to believe - (after viewing the seller's history) that he can be so wrong...

Pretty funny....

More importantly - why is your avatar different? Things make absolutely ZERO sense to me right now with your avatar change. When the heck, where am I, who are you people?!?!

here was my question

"Dear timetrav01,

Hello,

i am just curious as to what valuable figures are actually listed in this lot? are there any of the Chases from Supernova, Origin, BatB, Secret Invasion, etc? what about uniques? what sets does this lot come from?

- coad14"

here was his response

"Dear coad14,

I do not believe there is anything valuable in the lot

we just pulled them from store stock we sell to the public all the time

best, mike"

GAH! You found my lot.......guess I need to increase my max bid to 20,000.00.

Edit: And for that price, I wonder if you could just trade the guy a car for it.

I've got it! It's the comic store next to the school Richie Rich goes to!

They have a vending machine for MtG cards, and it only takes hundreds.

Well of course, it's a bulk deal. That's why you're getting them for $30 a piece.

Oh. Dear. Lord.

The seller's ID is "Time Traveller." The seller has seen the future. I can see it now: A hundred years in the future IC Elektras will be used to fuel our hovercars. Get 'em now while they're relatively cheap!

I suspect they forgot to put in a decimal point.
Price was probably supposed to be 149,95...

Which would only be about 2-3 times what you should expect for a lot like this. That's petty villainy compared to the atomic extendo-shoe clad super villainy of the $15k.

I sent him a message on E-Bay asking about the price. From his response, I'm assuming it was indeed and error:

Dear timetrav01,

Hi.

I was just wondering if you were aware that you are asking Fifteen-Thousand-Dollars for this lot of very common heroclix? I will assume that this was a mistake on your part. Just thought I should bring it to your attention.

- w.i.t.whateverittakes

Dear w.i.t.whateverittakes,

thanks for letting me know

we had a good laugh about it in the shop

best, mike

Then he dropped the price to $149.95 Sorry to 'ruin' every ones fun :p

Judging by the vintage of their nons, they're trying to save up for a case of Fantastic Forces.
