I'm just looking for some clarification. Cosmic spider-man can TK nightcrawler through walls/blocking terrain correct?

(Damage) Enigma Force Blast: Cosmic Spider-Man can use Force Blast. If he does so, he can then use Ranged Combat Expert as a free action targeting the same character.

(Attack) Psychic Webbing: Cosmic Spider-Man can use Force Blast. When he uses Force Blast, after the action is resolved he may use Ranged Combat Expert as a free action targeting the same character.

(Special) Uni-Vision: Cosmic Spider-Man's line of fire is never blocked.

(Speed) Teleportation Evacuation: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth and the Carry Ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.

(Defense) BAMF!: Nightcrawler can use Super Senses. Whenever he uses Super Senses to evade an attack, you may immediately move him up to half of his speed value.

(Special) Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement.

Also that nightcrawler is the only figure that cosmic spider-man could TK through walls/blocking?

He can draw LOF through blocking terrain, yes, but TK MOVES characters. Nothing in Cosmic Spidey's trait causes blocking terrain to be ignored for movement purposes.

So no TK-ing through blocking terrain. He can TK around blocking terrain, though.

MAYBE .... Shrugs

maybe no if ruled that the only way that NC ignores the terrain is if its under his own movement but i dunno

ya, but NC ignores blocking terrain on movement

so since Cosmic Spidey can see through the wall, and he moves Nightcrawler whom ignores the terrain, wouldn't he be able to actually continue to move him through the wall, cuz technically TK wouldn't be disagreeing with its wording, Nightcrawler would just be obeying his wording. but i know i'm wrong just trying to hold the othersides argument

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Just going by the wording.

Tk causes a figure to move right?
That is why if you have a SP that says "After a move action you can use smoke cloud only in the squares that they moved through" that if you TK them then give them a move action they can place smoke cloud in the squares that they moved through.
Since Spidy only needs to see the first and last, and NC ignores those things when he moves(not a move action).

I would say yes he can tk NC through walls.

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Just going by the wording.

ya since NC is "moving" i would think his power would kick in

otherwise NC has the stop when he becomes adjacent to a opposing character while being TKd

EDIT: yay i currently have '1964' rep

(Special) Uni-Vision: Cosmic Spider-Man's line of fire is never blocked.

(Special) Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement.

and since tk is a power action that "moves" a character from point a to point b, I would then have to say that if cosmic spiderman is tk'ng NC, nothing blocks his line of fire to enact this, and sence NC ignores effects on movements its now like greese lightning on a rod lubed up with astroglide, its going to be slick a fast baby!

Yeah it's just hard thing to wrap your brain around from a comic book physics standpoint and game standpoint. Just has never been seen before and it's not really how that should work. The wording supports it though.

And you really should never see Aunt May pick Dr. Manhattan up and Maneuver him to her other side so that Triplicate Girl can Drag him across the map, but it can happen in this game.

Does this mean you're disagreeing with normalview?

Somehow, I completely missed that we were talking about Nightcrawler.

Don't ask me how, but I did.

Nightcrawler is an exception, yes. His trait is passive and activates any time he is moved. Just like a character with Plasticity would still get its bonus to the break away roll with TK.

Yeah, and my guess is that had the OP called more attention to the trait, his answer would have been different.

Cosmic Spidey TKing people through the Prison walls just came up within the past day or two.

I know that when I saw the thread title, my gut reaction was "Oh, I see what the new Lunge is going to be."

Heck, I'll even admit that I missed the focus on NC's trait at first.

Here's what I saw:

{Dials}

I missed that there was more to the question below the dials on my first read-through. I'm guessing nv did the same.

Yeah sorry about that. I didn't think anyone wouldn't look through the whole thing. I had seen the question asked about just cosmic spidey's TK and knew what the answer would have been was. I just figured NC would be an exception. I did feel a this again vibe from that first answer. My apologies again fellas.

It's not really something about not looking through the whole thing.

For me...

As I said, and you also said, this JUST came up.

When it came up, it was answered, making me freshly familiar with Cosmic Spidey's power...and the "No, you can't do that." answer.

"Cosmic spider-man can TK nightcrawler through walls/blocking terrain correct?

To me, that's the question needing answered, but nothing stood out on the first read as really focusing on Nightcrawler and it didn't seem like there was more to the question. I scrolled down and saw nv had already answered a no, so I wasn't going to say anything at all until I noticed that there were several followups, causing me to reread.

Perhaps if just the relevant effects were shown I might have picked up on it my first time through. Who knows?

I'm not saying that's definitely what nv did, nor complaining about the op's format. I saw

Giving this a bump because I think under the new rules this doesn't work anymore. Nightcrawler would need to be able to see through walls as well.

Agreed.

When the new rules come into play TK will now "Place" instead of "Move" a Character so Nightcrawlers trait would not come into play.
