Lamenting not having a Modern Age Hellboy for tournament play, I'm wondering what Modern Age dial would be suitable to put a Hellboy miniature on?
Any ideas?

Off the top of my head, I'm leaning toward Etrigan (BtB). L/C shows his ability to move all over the place (as depicted in the first film nicely). BCF could represent hitting with the "Right Hand of Doom" or grabbing some huge sword, the SP (penetrating EE) shows his ability to load his gun with just the right ammo, toughness keeps him from taking all the damage he gets, and the SP (perplex/PC) shows the research background against paranormal entities, or his simply unpredictable/unusual behavior in a fight. Even the Mystics thing could be Hellboy's way of getting a hit in when he's struck.
And I'd name most of the powers "POW!" or "BAM!" if I could revise the card.
Well, are we talking the Indy REV, the Indy horned U, or the BPRD collector set U?
For the collector set U, the AA Frankenstein could work out ok; for the Indy horned U HoT Ulik could work out, maybe...

i put his top dial and sculpt on the mutation and monsters strong guy bottom dial... ( or vice verca)
the first four clix are for him using his gun but not being a very good shot, hence the nine attack and three damage...
the special power is great with his team ability...
the last five clix are for when " i land on my feet, and i am mad!"...
of course he is a custom and has to be agreed upon before play but he works very well and holds his own alone or with a team around him...

I always thought it was accurate how the old Hellboy started out being a tough guy with a gun before turning into a close range brawler. I did a search for Battle Fury and got some decent results.
-Gorilla Man (A bit weak damage wise, but decent)
-Strong guy
-Blazing Skull

Hogun works fairly well, although the Warriors Three trait becomes kind of a waste of points. Of course he seems to have actually paid negative points for it, so you should be fine. Hercules could work too I think.

I think for the reasons stated above, Etrigan is gonna be the best fit. Although I would have preferred Super Strength than Blades/Claws the TA and Keyword help represent him going solo from the BPRD in recent years.
Thanks for all the ideas, guys.
Now, what about modern age dials for Abe, Liz, Rasputin and Kroenen?
Any thoughts?
You know, looking at Red She-Hulk's dial, she might work out ok for Hellboy, too. The Psyblast is a little off, but it could be him just figuring out the right type of ammo for the Samaritan.

Looks nice But really don't want to fork out money for a Super Rare just to hack it to bits :)

Take a look at the Armor Wars LE Gennady Gavrilov -- A click of Charge into some Plasticity, starting Invulnerability into Toughness, Super Strength, starting 3 damage into two clicks of Close Combat Expert, and a range of 6. All for 79 points. And it is "modern age" because it was re-released in an Armor Wars Classics pack.
Another good figure to consider would be the Avengers "potato-head" Captain America. Gives you the Ultimates TA, which is awesome for BPRD, then starts with Charge and Super Strength, a click of Invuln into Toughness and then Combat Reflexes and Leap/Climb. He starts at a 10 attack, peaks at a 12, and goes down to one click of 9 at the end of his dial. He has one click of Leadership before he throws his leadership ability away to hammer on monsters and then he gets that fun "Follow Through" power for crushing swarms of little monsters. He's got some Close Combat Expert at the end of his dial as well, with a damage curve that starts with his special ammo (at 3 damage) and then he gets into regular ammo (with 1 damage) and then goes back to 2 damage. All for 95 points, which is less than he costs in the action pack. And the BEST part of the entire thing is that you can also rip off that awful Captain America sculpt... I mean, who doesn't hate that sculpt?
