I want to make some customs based off of the Bionicle line, which believe it or not, had a long running comic book series. I'd want to work on the Mata Nui saga first. I.E. years 1-3. Ideally, the six "Toa Mata" would add up to 300 points. Critique would be very appreciated. I'm editing more in as I finish them.

I like this idea and I'm excited to see the rest. My concern is that it seems his powers are a little random, I mean, he has just one click of Blades inbetween 2 vanilla attacks.
Also, I like that he has Energy Shield/Deflection, though as possessing the Mask of Shielding, he should probably have a SA that allows him to use at least ES/D and Toughness at the least that is. Also, I wouldn't complain if he had a longer dial.

Usually it seems we run into fanboyish dials, this seems a bit opposite, it seems like you've cut him short.

Yeah, trying to aim for a 300 point team for all six of them is setting your sights low I think. The Toa are definitely capable of dishing out more than 50 points worth of power.

The basic idea of Bionicle customs is nice thinking, though.

Tahu has proven to be a slightly... unpredictable character. This dial is meant to represent him in his weakest state. There are times when he'll become incredibly aggressive and lose track of thoughts because he's busy fighting, and there's others where he'll question his actions and think to himself "Will this be beneficial in the long run?" This is supposed to represent him as inexperienced as he was when he awoke from his canister. He was struggling with his powers (which I think I might have failed to represent, but that's why I was making the powers slightly sporadic.) He knows he has a mission, but he has to get other things out of the way at first, like collecting other Kanohi, as each kanohi grants a power and they "stack" so to speak. As he collects more masks and is eventually mutated by the protodermis pits, he becomes more powerful.

Also, I like that he has Energy Shield/Deflection, though as possessing the Mask of Shielding, he should probably have a SA that allows him to use at least ES/D and Toughness at the least that is. Also, I wouldn't complain if he had a longer dial.

I like the E/S/D and toughness idea. Maybe I'll do that to represent a version of Tahu where he finds more masks, because the 6 toa split into two groups for a while, so I could probably make them into two 300 point groups and go from there as they become Nuva and etc.

Anybody have any opinions on the "Tahnok" dial?

You ninja'd me! I had been screwing with the idea of Bionicle customs for a while. Really, the power levels in Bionicle vary quite a bit... You have matoran and small scale Rahi on the lower ends... and then you have beings like Makuta and Mata Nui on the other. I'll screw around with Tahu a bit. Is 80 a more reasonable point cost for a single mask Tahu?

Yes, 80 points sounds better, he chould at least have more than 5 clicks, I'd say even 7 would be acceptable.

Now, for the Bohrok, I think the Bohrok Team should be something like Moliods Speed SA, so they can use the Carry Ability, however they can only carry other Bohrok, but other than that it looks okay, I think it needs 5 clicks of life though, I mean your common Street Thug has at least 5 clicks of life.

Thanks for the critique guys, I'm working on some "fixes" now.

I'm not one to try to think of a price range beforehand, personally. I'm preferential to looking at the character and trying to come up with powers and stats that match that character, possibly modifying it to gain or loose a few points after the fact.

If they manage to stick right into a desired price range, that's just a nice post-creation bonus.

Me too. I fell out setwise in about 07, but the story got um... much more interesting from there.

Kopaka (Still the Mata versions, lol) added and Tahnok was edited.

For the new Toa, I think he should have a trait similar to Ultimates or Superman Ally.

Because of the xray thing? I was going too, but thought it might be a bit much. If I had too I would drop HSS and give him the trait.
