I was pretty ambitious tonight. Decided to turn a SHIELD agent into good ol' Frank Castle:

He's got the old school costume going on. Simple but effective, I thought. Still need to make a dial for him, though. I'm leaning towards six range with three arrows and EE almost all around the dial, with some running shot up front and outwit at the end. Maybe even a click or two of RCE for fun.

He looks kinda like a zombie. You might try adding a little more orange into your skin coat next time. Is this your first fig? I only ask because most people start by converting a Sheild agent to a Punisher. Nice job though

This is about the third or fourth one I've done. He took me all of about an hour and a half total from start to finish, so I wasn't being a real perfectionist. As for the face, he is a little on the pasty side, but he never was too rosy and pleasant. Maybe more pronounced eyebrows would work? Right now I'm more concerned with making a dial for him. He'll be a lot of fun to use when I'm done, I think.

I think it's the eyes that mess him up. other than that it's cool.

The eyes aren't bad, they look like the old Mike Zeck covers where his eyes were surrounded by black....somehow things seem to look good on comic paper that aren't possible in real life ;-)

sorta like Galactus' outfit. Imagine a BIG guy...wearing purple and blue....scary, yet funny. Like Barney.

Two simple solutions to modeling eyes:

1. Buy yourself a .005 permanent ink pen, in the caligraphy dept. of craft stores, to use for eyes, fine lines, borders where white and yellow meet other colors. Really makes a difference.

2. Never draw eyes on figures looking straight ahead. Gives them the "Zombie look". Have them looking off to one side, or wherever the direction of their heads and body language seem to be indicating. Makes a real difference to animating the figure.

Actually, those are the eyes he came with, so you can blame whoever made him at the factory for the zombie look. I didn't totally redo them, although I did leave the dark circles around them. I did redo the eyes on most of the other guys I've done, particularly Green Goblin and Bizarro, and the fine tip pen I have did come in handy for that.
