I have been reading the bad traders section and other coments here and there about trading and how badly they were shipped. I want everyones opinion on wether we as a comunity should set up some sort of mailing guideline for shipping figures. such as:

1 ship in a box
2 ship with delivery confirmation
3 email when you send it and e-mail when you receive it.
4 have a set amount of time before e-mailing the other party you haven't received it.

If you have any suggestions of what should be added please leave a comment. also leave comments on how you feel about this idea.

If you know international mailing please list guidelines for shipping that way

if you know how to ship to Canada please list guidelines for that too.

I figure if we had guidelines we could direct someone to them on how you wish to send.
Example:
Hi i would like to trade my rookie for your vet please refer to the comunity shipping guidelines for shipping.

This would help help new people here who wish to trade and help eliminate figs being sent improperly(such as envelopes).

By far the most common way to send figures is to take an empty booster and stick your figures in the empty plastic trays. You can then wrap the booster box in brown paper, like a grocery bag, or even in a couple layers of regular notebook paper if you don't have the thick brown stuff.

If you're only sending one or two figures then you can even just buy a bubble layered envelope at the post office and again put the figure in an empty plastic tray from a booster and it will be rather well protected.

Shipping to the US and Canada is pretty simple and cheap. Just make sure you pack the figures well enough so that they don't get broken in the shipping. I recently traded with fromeroru from Spain and that cost $2.40 to send a cardboard box with a few figures in it.

Another good practice, but one I haven't started yet is to get delivery confirmation which only costs like 30 cents. That way you know when your package gets there.

I suppose I might just be lucky, but I have 18 trades on here so far and haven't had a bad experience yet.

Cheers!
