had a deal worked out for an extra Superman Prime, I sold my own to a new trader since I had just swung that deal. After several days the guy messaged me asking if i shipped my end out. He has a very low itrader so I replied telling him he was the one who would ship first. He then replies saying he "just noticed" that Prime had some slight paint smearing on the dial. I told him he had kind of jammed me up so I would need to see it in person. When it arrives it was in terrible condition, slight smearing was a total lie, the paint was smeared badly and had chalky white substance like glue covering it.

The guy isn't willing to do anything to fix this. I feel like he tried to trick me into sending first and planned to stick me with this damaged fig. He says he already has a backup trade worked out for the prime so i want to know what would be appropriate feedback to leave.

Either way it's neutral. Just because you "feel" like he was trying to get you to send first doesn't mean he was. And he ended up sending you the figure to look to see if you wanted it anyway.

Send it back, cancel the deal, and leave him neutral.

Negative is left for deals that actually have people getting ripped off. Leaving feelings aside, he didn't rip you off, and he even sent the figure for you to look at.

I will pm you phanta, jarimy your argument is ridiculous, he totally was going to stick me with this fig. He only told me about damage because he was forced to send first.

Intent is dang hard to prove.
You didn't lose anything on this deal, so a neutral is perfectly acceptable.
