Teleportation Evacuation: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth, and the Carry ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.
Now I just wanna be clear before using him, the attack doesn't actually have to do damage, it just has to be a successful hit right? For example if he's doing 2 damage and I attack someone with Invulnerability or Impervious, even if the end result would be 0 damage, I could still place the target after completing the move? Or does damage have to be dealt to be able to do that?
If it hits, you are good to go.

No damage dealt required.

Excellent thanks for the quick responses. Now I know for sure that for what I wanna attempt, it's better to perplex his attack over damage :)

Correct it just has to land a successful hit . The target does not have to take damage.

hi ben, people are using nightcrawler to carry opposing characters after they've been hit, please expand further on his special power. Errol

I'm not Ben, but I can answer.
There is no "carry" involved. Carry is a specific game term which is not happening here.
As the power states, when NC finishes his movement, the hit target may be placed adjacent to NC.
This means that if I have NC move 4, then make a successful attack (whether or not damage is actually taken from it), then move the other 10 squares remaining, I can now place the successfully hit target adjacent to where Nightcrawler just ended his movement.

Now that you know how the power works, if you want to read why Ben thought such a power was appropriate for Nightcrawler, see this thread (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=287190).

Nothing in that description indicates that knock back would prevent you from placing the target character adjacent to Nightcrawler once the action has resolved.

There is no adjacency requirement for the power. The requirement is that the target be hit by a successful close combat attack while Nightcrawler is using HSS. Knock back occurs before the action resolves. So the character would be knocked back and then placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the HSS action resolves.

Evading an attack changes a hit into a miss, so he would not be able to place your figure if your super senses roll was successful.

actually this is not true. No where does it say that Evade=Miss.
This ruling was brought about with a feat card(that i can't remember the name of) that said when the attack misses you place a token on a the attacking character. It was said that SS does not make you miss and therefore would not make you place the token.

From p. 9 of the 2010 Core Rulebook:
Certain game effects allow characters to evade a hit – evading a hit turns it into a miss.

well this is totally opposite of what they has said with the feat came up.
Not sure if it was intentional or not.

Not sure what feat you are refering to.
#015 Parademon Drill Sergeant
Darkseid’s Motivational Techniques: (non-optional) When an adjacent friendly character makes an attack, modify that character’s damage value by +1 for that attack. If the attack misses all targets, deal the attacking character 1 unavoidable damage.
·If an adjacent friendly character’s attack roll would be high enough to hit the character, but the character successfully evades the attack with a power like Super Senses, Darkseid’s Motivational Techniques would not activate.

well that would do but what i was thinking was Takedown, but now that I have read the card it says if the make an unsuccessful attack. which of was ruled that if SS is made it was still successful.

I think I've heard of that card before. I think that card was Takedown. Great card, I'd love to meet the guy that made it. And it was actually ruled that if a character rolls super senses it does result in a a token being placed. Not sure where you got the opposite impression. It's been discussed several times all resulting in the same answer, that super senses does cause a token. Perhaps I missed some recent discussion on the topic? It didn't actually have anything to do with the term "miss" it was in regards to the term "unsuccessful [close combat] attack".

Unless I misunderstand normalview (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=268234), a successful Super Senses roll will cause an attack to be unsuccessful and activate Takedown.
Parademon Drill Sergeant's Darkseid’s Motivational Techniques obviously makes a special exception for the power.

It's actually ironic that you bring Takedown up. Before you even mentioned it, I was going to say that it would be a nice counter to Nightcrawler. Not that it's a 100% sure fire counter, but it's a really strong option against him. His attack is only average.

If there is any confusion on the wording though Maraud, I could probably get a hold of the designer for you and ask him the intent of the card when he designed it, if you want.

I can use this SP to drag a objet ?
You certainly can. It says "target" not "target character." If you attack an object it is a target.
