View Full Version : The Arms of Dr. Octopus
This is too good a theme team to pass up:
121pts - WoS Doc Ock
69pts - SI Doc Ock
61pts - V Ult Doc Ock
44pts - E CT Doc Ock
= 295pts
That leaves 5pts leftover for FCs/Lanterns. Suggestions?
Also, if you could help me come up with a sufficiently nerdy name for the team. Hey, its a team of nerds. I'm looking at Doc Ock Corps just as a starter. :)

If you feel like shaving the points a tad - say dropping the V Ultimate to E - you could get in some Pounces which have some wickedly good potential with the Doc Ocks.

They needed to all have the Sinister Syndicate TA in order to benefit from WoS' trait. The E Ult doesn't cut the mustard. Same reason why I passed on the V CT.

Hmm...well, his stats aren't as good but you could always go with the Rookie Ultimate and T-Bolt him to Sin-Syn and still have some points to grant Pounce to a few of the other Ocks. :)

Tbolt is no good unless they have the keyword now. Also, unless he actually had the TA I don't think the trait would protect him.

R Ultimates Doc Ock has the Thunderbolts keyword, so he can be assigned the ATA. Still doesn't make him eligble for the Trait bonus though.
On the other hand... Is it a big deal to have some of those abilities Outwitted? It's mostly Leap/CLimb that gets protected anyway...
As for feats, Lunge is usually 5 points well spent. I'd put it on SI Doc.

I know - which is why I said R Ult Ock as, for some dumb reason, they gave him the Thunderbolts keyword.

Calamari Crew?
Tentacled Titans?
Twelve Arms, Eight Eyes?
I'll stop now.

Why does he have the Thunderbolts keyword?! :ermm:
Because they screwed up. There are a few odd keywords in the old sets.

Well, as a Beatles fan I suggest: Octopus' Garden. :)
