His team standing before him, Dr. Doom lands, the boot thruster's letting off steam as he lands.

"I, Doom, have assembled you all here to work under me. I have found an ancient artifact that has power to make the old young again. The fabled Fountain of Youth lives, but in a small piece. I have called on you, Otto Octavius, to help me with your cunning! Juggernaut, for your massive strength! Brainiac for your vast spacial knowledge! Klaw for your power over soundwaves! I have brought along one of my Latverian Medics in case you need help. If you complete this task, you will be rewarded splendously. Now go, my team. Retrieve the Tablet of Time!"

"of course it did. that's government planning for you." nick fury was chomping down on his ever present cigar. like a gunslinger of old he quick drew his pistols, flipped them around, and brought them up to aim for doom's head and heart. pointing with the pistols back behind him, "and we were even able to requisition a couple of the sentinels. we can finally find some good use for them, i hope. these baby's haven't seen service for about 15 years, but they should still serve for what i'm planning...."

"what are you planning? shouldn't you let your team know?" asked wasp.

"listen sister. i know you all better than you think. moondragon and namor will never take to me telling them that they follow exactly what i tell them, but they're good at the team play business all the same. besides, if we tip our hat to our strategy, doom might hear. just keep your ear piece on and do what i tell you, and we'll make it out of this in one piece."

fury's legendary charm was lost to her, as she glanced over to moondragon and received a wink back.

am pretty sure that terrain would be destroyed by virtue of the sentinel standing on it, just as objects are, but i've gone ahead and just replaced the sentinel through editing of my above post.

start the game already! (kidding).

"Doom," Doctor Octopus says to the Master of Latveria, "There's a couple of items in here that I could use. Help me get them first, and I'll be more than willing to help."

Doom let's out a short sigh of frustration and picks up Octavius, dropping him in the gem room.

"Have you no sense of direction, Doom?" Otto shouted, "I need the weapons room!"

Doctor Octopus left Doom for the other room. Looking up, he sees two giant robots.

"Those have got to be the worst Science Fiction movie props I've seen."

Back at the museum's doors, Brainiac looks to Juggernaut.

"Do you need me to fly you?" he asked in his robotic tone.

"......", Juggernaut responded, when Klaw interrupted.

"I I I I could use some assisstance tance tance."

Brainiac turned, confused at this being of pure sound. Curious, he picked up Klaw and carried him about.

By his lonesome, Juggernaut just went down the middle, picking up a pole for blocking off people while he went.

The Medic just shrugged his shoulders, sat down, and started reading the latest issue of Wizard: The Guide to Comics.

"ok...i want to see everybody doing their part here!" nick fury spoke with a cigar stuck in his mouth accent. "moondragon, get brainiac's attention, and possibly alliegence over to our side! Namor! help her out."

"put me down. little man." moondragon, forever the snob, was set down near the railing of the balcony. she zero'd in on brianiac's mind almost immedately. scarlet witch set in beside moondragon, thinking she was otherwise safe. moondragon leaned over and said, "so, i heard that your life with that fake man went astray."

"if you mean the vision, then yes, we've had a falling out of sorts. what does that have to do with anything?" scarlet witch said.

"well, if even a fake man can't please you, maybe you should change your tactics....or targets..." with that moondragon reached out in an attempt to connect with brainiac's mind. brainiac, more machine than human wasn't easy to control, but despite the feedback and pain it caused, moondragon was able to sedue him. Brainiac shoved the klaw aside and rang for the stairs to the balcony until he was out of breath.

"ok...we're gonna play catch, and see if these decommishioned sentinels are worth their metal. wasp, you know what to do." yelled out fury.

wasp carried the mandroid trooper over to the stairs to meet up with brainiac. "are you sure he's harmless?" the trooper asked.

"as harmless as you are to me." said fury. "now do it. toss him up to the top. NOW soldier!" the trooper did as he was told, and TK'd the hulking machine up to the balcony. the sentinel designated "blue" moved forward to stand in front of fury, quasar catching a ride off the sentinel's shoulder. "now, quasar, toss him over to "red" for safe keeping!" quasar did so, with a completely wornout and dazed brainiac resting calmly next to the sentinel on the back part of the balcony.

"that was good teamwork....let's hope he don't wake up in time for that surprise we got coming....!" said fury.

moondragon ran up to mindcontrol brainiac. scarlet witch let him reroll breakaway from klaw. brainiac ran to the middle of the stairs. wasp taxi'd the mandroid over, who tk'd brainiac up the stairs. sentinel blue taxied quasar, quasar tk'd brainiac over to the other sentinel (and brainiac is now pushed). sentinel "red" rolled a 3 and failed to capture.

Couple o' questions.

1. How'd you use Mind Control through blocking terrain?
2. Unless I'm mistaken each Mind Controller takes a click?
5. Which square is Brainiac in?

um...yeah, wondered if i could pull it off.

1. there is no blocking terrain that i am aware of. currently this is the only map with elevated indoor terrain. my team is currently either on the stairs going up to that elevated terrain, or on the balcony of that elevated terrain.

2. yeah, forgot to list moondragon as taking a click.

3. brainiac is in b9, next to sentinel "red".

the only other question i had was whether i could try to capture during my turn, cuz technically brainiac was on my team when i tried to capture. i should have declared first that i had turned off mind control, but failed to. either way, the sentinel rolled a 3, so it's a moot question.

let me know if we'd like a judge to sort this one out.

I don't see why you couldn't capture, but I got bad news for ya :(

If you don't wanna look, I'll run it down. According to these two judges, since it's an indoor map, the "stairs" are not elevated terrain, and should be treated like hallways instead, which sucks because a) I loved that move (and was hoping to use it next week at the HeroClix meeting) and b) it's clearly meant to be a balcony.

you are absolutely correct. i did some digging myself, and found the official word from chappeau, the rules dude:

Q: Also on the DC premier (museum) map is the blueish area considered indoor
elevated terrain or not?

A: It is not. Characters have to walk up stairs to get to that area, but it's
blocked from the rest of the map.

so....would you like me to forfeit my turn or would you rather me reposition my figures so that this last turn's move would have been possible? aquaman could have carried moondragon to the bottom of the stairs and the scarlet witch still could have been there too. (it's up to you. just let me know. either way, i'm ok with it).

thanks for checking. strange that this is the first time i've seen the errata on this map. i try to check the judge's forums daily.

ok....did my editing. bascially the same move. just had aquaman taxi moondragon down the stairs and scarlet witched continued to follow her closely. i believe all other moves are still legal.

"Where did id id my friend go o o o?" the horrendouly stupid Klaw asked, as Brainiac was telepathically pulled to the other side of the museum.

"Did you o o take my friend end end?" he asked with a frown on his face.

"Give him back ack ack!" Klaw's mood had gone from child-like confusion into a child-like temper tantrum, as he shoots a sonic blast at Moondragon!

Klaw missed, paying more attention on where to find Brainiac than to where the shot was aimed.

Speaking of Brainiac, after being moved to the place and dodging a giant Sentinel hand, he began to grow curious of the robots.

"Interesting." he said to himself in his dead, robotic voice.

Busy taking the items he needed, Doctor Octopus heard a loud crash behind him!

Turning, and dropping a few of the weapons, he saw the rubble left by Klaw's attack.

"Stupid creation!" he yelled, running in to help his 'friend'.

Juggernaut kind of laughed underneath his helmet at the failed attempt at a scare tactic.

Doom stood quiet, pondering the insolence of his team.

"ok, red, do that capture manuver!" said fury, into his comm unit.

the sentinel leaned over and took brainiac into his oversized hands, and sent a huge electrical current down them to subdue brainiac.

"alright folks. that's one down. care to work for two?" yelled fury, as he ran over to the unit designated "red".

"no. we will not tire ourselves for this lot!" namor yelled back.

"agreed. that was too simple. why should we worry ourselves?" said moondragon.

"cuz i said so, ya big group of wusses!" fury was building up his anger.

"is that so? we'll see." said moondragon, as she winked again towards scarlet witch.

"Bah!" Doom yelled, hearing the fried sound of electricity up the stairs, "Must I do everything myself! It's all that witch's fault!"

Doom ran out and stuck his arms out, one to blast the Sentinel's hand (the one holding Brainiac in it's tendrils of course) and one at Moondragon, for the damage she's caused the team!

The blast smacks the Sentinel's hand, and he drops the fellow robot.

As the second blast smacks Moondragon in her bald forehead, Juggernaut laughs and sneaks up on the gang. Surprising, since Cain Marko isn't really known for his ninja skills. :)

The Medic just stares as his master, Dr. Doom, blasts away. He runs for cover.

Back where Brainiac stands, he feels just a little recharged after his brief mind meeting with Moondragon.

"I might try this myself." he says, looking over to Medic. Brainiac's chest opens, and a metallic head band flies toward his face.

The band slaps across the healer's head, sending little metal tentacles through his ears and into his brain.

"Paramedic, I need you to attack your friends," Brainiac says through a tiny communicatory attached to the mind controllng machine.

And with a thought, the SHIELD Medic turns his gun on the Sentinel.

"Put that thing down!" Nick Fury commands as his SHIELD member shot the Sentinel.

The shot puts a tiny, tiny dent in the Sentinel, but not enough to do any damage.

Dr. Doom preplexes his Damage up to 4, and uses Running Shot to try and rescue Brainiac and to attack Moondragon. He moves to L13. Needs a 6 to free Brainiac, and a 5 to hit Moondragon (she gets +1 for hindering terrain). Rolled an 8. Scarlet Witch Probability Controls it. Reroll a 7. Brainiac free'd! Moondragon Super Sense rolled 2, she takes a click of damage. Brainiac falls in B9 and gets a token.

Brainiac pushes to Mind Control the SHIELD Medic. Needs a 4 to work. Rolled 6 (double 3's). First kockback into wall. Medic takes a click. Then Medic attacks Sentinel Red. He needs a 10 to hit. Rolled a 7 to miss. Medic gets an action token.

I'm amused by the fight but I thought I should point out that if Doom is using a multiple target attack then his damage is reduced to one, so perplexing his damage to four seems to be of little help.

CyberV: doesn't brainiac have to be out of contact with the sentinel? think he's still in hand to hand with him. i don't have the sentinel rules in front of me right now, but believe that when characters are in hand to hand with a sentinel, it's like normal rules (either fight or break away and run, but not attack outside of combat...).

"ok, folks, more bouncing! keep these guys on the ropes. we can't let them know what we're really planning!!!" yelled fury.

Namor rolled his eyes, "does he do anything but yell? he's starting to sound like captain america. and by the way, he was sooooo much better when the government was hunting him. believe me! when you're hunted it isn't as easy to play the "hero" role and certainly a bit tougher to---"

"hey namor! shut up!" yelled fury.

moondragon rolled her eyes next. "men...."

"hey moondragon! shut up!" yelled fury. "and the rest of you! shut up. do what i say or i'll find another use for this cigar!"

"what, like clinton did?" asked moondragon.

"shut up!. now, sentinels, do your thing! red, do that capture number again, and blue, i want you blasting that guy coming at our left!"

the sentinel designated Red, reached down with coiled fingers sliding around a worn out brainiac's body, immobilizing him. the sentinel designated blue shot off a shoulder rocket at doc oc, who was climbing the stairs, but narrowly missing. being almost hit with a rocket pissed namor off to bursting. "aaarrrrrggg!! this was a new pair of speedoes!!!!" he lashed out at doc oc with all his frustration, landing a good punch and breaking the good doctor's funky 70's shades.

"now get out of there!" yelled fury

"jeesh! maybe you're right about men," scarlet said to moondragon.

"hey scarlet! shut up!" yelled fury.

Moondragon picked up scarlet witch and made her way across to the other hallway, "we just need some place to talk quietly. maybe no one's over here."

"i'm not taking orders from any man, any more!" wasp declared as she let loose a vicsious wasp sting, and downing Doc Oc through electrocusion.

"####it!!!!!" yelled fury.

"way to go, sister!" both scarlet and moon yelled in unison.

fury made his leadership roll (a 4). sentinel red rolled a 7 to recapture brainiac. sentinel blue rolled a 6, missing doc oc. aquaman hit for 3 damage on doc oc (rolled a 9). wasp rolled a 9 as well to hit doc oc for 2 more damage. and fury yelled alot.

Before I start my turn, I don't think the Medic has a click of damage. Brainiac gets a click for every 100 points the Medic is rounded up, no tht eother way around.

Klaw remained focused on Moondragon while he looked for his friend, Brainiac.

"You can not ot ot escape ape ape!" he shouted, trying to shoot Moondragon, ignoring the giant dinosaur skeleton in his way.

Before the attack could hit, Moondragon felt it. So she simply moved out of the way.

Through being punished by the group around him, Doc Ock's tendril whipped around and crashed near Namor.

"Next time, it's your skull!"

"listen, you're being kinda rough on them, and, well, you know how i said i went out in to space awhile ago for 'personal reasons'? actually, i was living down near LA for a while, finding the real me." said quasar sheepishly.

"what are you telling me, boy?" said fury, in the same angry tone.

"nothing. nothing." quasar was shrugging his shoulders, "it's just that i started seeing how sometimes poeple can get a little too macho. i was like that and then i cooled down. it's good to have a fresh perspective on things. i think if you cool it a bit, you might start to find that people work better with you."

"ok...noted." said fury. you could see the tension leave his neck and face as he started to take quasar's words to heart.

"and i like guys." said quasar.

"what???? say that again soldier boy!" fury looked over in namor's direction. "this better not be any of your doing, fish lover!"

"see what i mean about the men?" said moondragon to scarlet witch.

The now very angry Doom (since Brainiac's been captured) rushes in and shoots exploding beams at Moondragon.

"Doom shall rule this day!" he shouts, in anger, watching the target of his attack use her mind to block the shot.

Juggernaut sees a very rare, and big, dinosaur bone on display, and looking at his metal pole, he quickly drops it and reaches for the femur.

And with a smile on his face, turns the corner, stepping into The Sub Mariner's face.

Not wanting to interrupt your game coz it looks like a whole lot of fun. But aren't Sentinels and Mutants forbidden from being on the same team. Coz as you know Scarlet Witch is a mutant!

"fine. at least i've still got control of the two sentinels. red? i want you to actually subdue that thing and not just leave it to hang around in your hands, ok?" yelled fury.

the sentinel designated as "red" smothered brainiac in some form of electric webbing. a compartment opened up in the side of the sentinel and brainiac was taken from the field.

"well, at least that worked." said fury, catching himself at starting to roll his eyes.

on the other side of the room, a new battle was heating up in the walk way. at the same time, the sentinel shot another missile from his shoulder mounting to doc oc, ripping open his chest and splattering namor with grizzle and blood. now, even more mad about his new thong being messy, namor unloaded on the approaching juggernaut, missing due to the slipperyness of his footing.

"that guy looks pretty mad," said the mandroid troop, as he TK'd namor back behind him, disorienting namor slightly.

Quasar saw his opening and took a shot at the bone weilding juggernaught. his cosmic beam hit, but did almost no lasting damage. "####. now that's a man that can take some pain..."

namor looked over at quasar, "you silly goose."

moondragon pulled away from scarlet witch and flew over to the medic. "i need something for the pain that's racing through my mind."

fury missed his leadership roll, but i PC'd it for success. sentinel attacks and hits on a roll of 7 for 2 damage to doc oc. aquaman misses juggernaught. mandroid TK's aquaman up to d16. quasar attacks juggy for three with a roll of 7 (but due to invulnerability, it'll only be 1).

Doom grew even more frustrated at the flying mind witch, Moondragon. But he had other worries for the moment.

Victor rushes to the other side of the room, reinforcing the fallen wall of Otto Octavius.

Doom shoots while yelling into his communicator to the Medic, "Get Klaw here now!"

The shot smacks the Armor in the chest, causing it to lose it's concentration on TKing Namor: The Gay Fish of the North.

The Medic quickly rushes over to Klaw.

"Doom.....*huff*...needs....*huff*....you." he said, gasping for air from the running.

In a fast run, Klaw got next to Doom.

"You o o need eed eed me?" he asked.

"Prepare for battle, creature," Doom shot back.

"are you bunch of panzies even listening to me? give me the benefit of 40+ years of combat experience?" yelled fury. there was no answer.

the medic tried to ease moondragon's pain with some special herbs, which eased the pain completely. moondragon smiled at the medic, "you too sister are more powerful than you otherwise would have known. perhaps after the fight i can help you discover another part of your future journey?" the medic looked at the ground and kinda moved one of her toes in a little circle. "shy, are we?" scarlet witch looked on, jealous of moondragon's new found friend.

"break them up!" yelled fury to the sentinel designated as "red", at seeing how scarlet witch's eyes flared at the chemistry going on with the medic and moondragon. "you'd think i could have used my 40+ years of combat experience to actually recruit a team that could do something effective???"

"i won't let you down, sir!," yelled the mandroid trooper. he began yelling insults at doom. "i got your number, fool. step. come on, step. i'll cut you, fool." said the trooper, reverting now in the time of his death, to his inner-city roots.

"alright, i'll try again. listen to me. i do have a plan, and you trooper are instrumental." yelled fury.

"yessir", the mandroid was slurring his speech, he was so out of it. quasar and namor would have thought it cute, if it weren't so tragic.

"charge soldier! get in there!" yelled fury, as the trooper ran up to juggernaught, broken armor clinking as he went, attacking senselessly....

Namor hit the wall in front of him to make room, "give me a lift, quasar! get me close." quasar flew namor out to face doom. fury ran across the room to where the wall once was, guns drawn.

fury made his leadership roll. namor hit the wall in front of him (15d-e is rubble). quasar flew them through to face doom. wasp few to stand next to the scarlet witch. fury ran to the opening that namor opened.

The walls burst open, as Namor and Quasar "poke" through, quickly changing any plans Doom had with Klaw.

"Don't just stand there, you simpleton. ATTACK!" Doom shouted, scaring Klaw into attacking Quasar, while he attacked Namor.

The clearly shaken Klaw missed, and prayed that Dr. Doom wouldn't punish him too harshly.

Klaw's miss infuriated Doom so much that he didn't realize how hard he punched Namor, sending 1/2 of the New Ambiguously Gay Duo slamming into the marble piller underneath Scarlet Witch!

Both the Juggernaut and the soldier in the tin can heard it and stopped fighting.

"Wow."

The Medic charged his way over to Doom and Klaw.

"I heard a crash, boss! Is everything ok?," he asked.

"When Doom's around," his leader responded, "everything's great."

"ok! now's our chance! while doom's distracted!" yelled fury, from his perch in the 'new' hallway. "dragon, witch, wasp, Red! get moving! i think our little game of mysoginistic banter paid off! i guess we owe spiderman a bit for that strategy!"

"yes, the battles always have come before our true feelings, haven't they, namor?" said moondragon. and after receiving no response, "namor?!"

"he's nearly down. just needs a moment to catch his breath. but i'll be here to cover you. just get in here!" said a now much more manly quasar. "did you really think i'd really call someone a silly goose?"

the sentinel known as red scooped up moondragon in his arms and lumbered down the hallway (or is it a stair case????). at the same time, wasp with scarlet witch in tow came rushing down to plant themselves near doom and his lacky medic.

"now dragon!" yelled fury.

doom's mind was a laberinth of pain and twisted agony for moondragon to delve through. at every thought block and synapse was the equivalent of a mirror or false path that led her away from his true mind. she was about to give up when a rush all possible probabilities came upon her and doom's mind opened to her at once. "I command you." said moondragon, the lips beneath doom's armored faceplate moving in slurred unison, "run to the sentinel. he'll keep you warm and safe."

doom's armor thrusters started to take off, but his strong mind kept him in place. even with his body under the #####'s control, he would not succum to her commands. moondragon reeled from the mental feedback as pain flashed over her face.

"####! plan B! i repeat, plan B!" yelled fury, as his guns came forward blazing, mingling with the fire from quasar's cosmic bands, it was a sound close to opera.

(These have been two very awesome moves! This game is picking up like an extra basketball player!)

Doom took a moment to concetrate using his mystic arts, and regain control of his mind.

"You'll pay dearly for that, Avenger," he stared down Moondragon.

The Medic quickly gave Doom a pill of some sort.

"It's called Advil, O Great One," he bowed.

Doom quickly swallowed the tablet.

"Bah!" Doom spit out the Advil, "You know Doom only uses Gel Caps!"

Meanwhile, Juggernaut and the Mandroid Armor continue to play.

"You got something in your teeth," Juggernaut points out to the SHIElD knight.

"What is it?" he asked back, picking at his mouth.

"This!" Juggernaut swings the bone toward the man's midsection.

The mighty strength of the Juggernaut (with a T-Rex femur) smacks the Mandroid Armor, sending him through the next room, where his body finally cracks the cemented wall, and he falls to the ground.

Klaw looks up from his fallen position.
"That at at wasn't nice ice ice."

"stop the pill!" yelled fury. almost on instinct scarlet witch let out a hex bolt on doom's medic, causing a mild coronary in the medic's chest.

"namor, are you still there?" asked moondragon.

"yeah," said namor, digging himself out of the wall impression he'd made, "i'm still here, and i'm gonna be for awhile!" namor charged forward towards doom, hoping to protect his teammates for a moment while they recovered.

the sentinel designated "blue" watched impasively as the mandroid armor trooper was torn asunder. then with large lumbering steps, began down the hall toward his new target.

Juggernaut watches as the giant robot Sentinel closes in on him.

"ok people! we just lost two team members in the course of a few seconds. we need to turn up the steam!" yelled fury.

"how's this for steam?" quasar yelled back, destroying a few square feet of solid sound that had been erected in front of him. "err...i don't think i've ever said anything quite so lame before...."

"and what of that 'silly goose' comment just moments ago? did you forget so soon?" said moondragon, with a perked eyebrow. with the line of sight back on doom's presence, moondragon again tried to delve the path through doom's mind. having done it once before, the path was not so difficult to tread. doom's lips trembled underneath his molded faceplate. "i must get to that sentinel....." he said, drooling. moondragon was clutching her temples as she went down to a knee due to the pain.

doom did as he was bid, running up the hallway to stand near the rear of their guard. doom felt safe there. secure. the sentinel near him reached down to pull him up and make him safer still. doom didn't resist even when the overly strong hands gripped too tightly over his facepate, denting it and making it difficult to breath.

on the other hallway, fury was running. "come with me!" he yelled back to the medic, "we still have some work to do!"

quasar destroyed the barrier in g13. moondragon rolled a 10 to MC doom, taking a click of damage due to MC feedback. doom rolled a 4 for breakaway and moved to d10, pushing him. sentinel rolled a critical (!!!! yeah, my first in our games) to capture doom (which i think means he doesn't take a point of damage, cuz of the invulnerability on doom...). fury and medic go over to base with sentinel blue.

"You'll put me down soon enough! Juggernaut!" he yelled to the behemoth.

"Wait a sec! I'm busy!"

Juggeranut slammed his fist into the Sentinel. His large fist put a giant dent in it's side.

"Once I take this thing down, I'll be there to help!"

Klaw sits down, saddened that everyone is leaving him. :(

"Boss!" the Medic yelled, "I'll avenge your death!"

"I'm not dead yet, you moron!" Doom shouted back, "Just attack!"

The fumbly Medic lifts his pistol and takes a shaky shot at Scarlet Witch.

The shot misses it's target completely.

"wasp! get that witch over here! do it now!" yelled fury.

"what? why?"

"because her talents are what is winning this battle, that's why!" yelled fury again, "and i mean now!"

wasp showed nearly impossible strength and picked up the scarlet witch to carry her on a winding path, to lay the both of them at the side of the sendinel and the juggernaught.

'now, blue, do your thing! pick that bad boy up!" yelled fury as the medic next to him tried to shield her ringing ears from more of fury's voice. the juggernaught as such a large target was simple for the larger sentinel to pick up. while juggy struggled, the sentinel's iron arms held him tight.

quasar pushed himself to exhaustion, using some of his dwindling energy to shoot at klaw from across the room. the blast fizzled and was somehow rebounded off of klaw's sonic body, sending quasar to his knees.

"enough of this!" yelled fury, as he hurled himself down the hallway, guns akimo, shooting fire. the poor, defenseless medic goes down in the hail of gunfire. "dragon! i hope you're covering me!"

"nicely done, general fury. yes, your first effective shot downs a helpless healer. of course i would cover you after that display of bravery." said moondragon. she sent a bolt of psychic energy at klaw across the newly cleared main room. it hit, though how much damage the bolt did to a body composed of solid sound could not be said.

in the background of the fighting the slow methodological steps of the sentinel designated red could be heard, walking back to it's launching platform.

fury made his leadership roll. wasp taxi's scarlet witch to the space next to juggy and sentinel blue. sentinel blue rolls an 8 for the juggy capture manuver. quasar shoots at claw, critical miss....(grrrr) and pushing him. fury running shot's at the medic, hitting for 2 pts of damage with a roll of 6, but pushing. moondragon shoots a psychic blast at klaw, rolling a 7 for 2pts of damage, and pushing. sentinel red moves back to its starting point for the next turn capture.

doom's muffled screams became fainter and fainter as his writhing body first slowed and then stopped struggling all together, as he was inserted into a side hatch the sentinel opened up in the torso area. in the background again was the now familiar sound of a sentinel's footfalls.

Hey, I bet I can sorta predict how this one is going to end. No, really. Dang, I'm sorry for ya Cybervenom; looks like we'll have to go Cybervenom vs. Malchyor IV for you to get a win.

Honestly I've enjoyed these battles, but I'm starting to see a bothersome trend. Generally it seems (to me at least) that Cybervenom keeps fielding an inferior team to that of malchyor. To top it off malychor seems to have better and more innovative stratagies, but I feel the team builds are what is really sinking ya Cyber.

::Little Timmy drops his Cybervenom flag and begins to cry as he is wheeled away by his nurse pushing his rusting wheelchair through the rain soaked mud.::

LOL!!

It's all good to me. I have genuine fun, even if I lose. When it comes to the teams, I garauntee part of it is due to me using a Sealed Deck generator, which limits what I'm using while randomizing the characters I use (which I love!).

Plus, I usually have my team done and ready first, giving Malchyor plenty o' time to get around them. And if that's what he's doing, it doesn't bother me a bit. That's what I get for posting my team first! :)

I do think that strategy weighs in heavily during the CyberVenom/Malchyor War of 2003, with Malchyor clearly being the better strategist. But I think (and hope :) ) that I'm getting better with each match.

the sentinel's parts move and grind, as the indestructible juggernaut is wolven like a moth in a spider's web. once sealed up, he's not seen again as he enters the darkness in the side of the monstrous robot.

for once fury is silent, knowing his prey is now within the thunderclap of his bullet's terrible, sudden finality. the muzzle-fire from the single bullet reflected from the polished floor, as if shadows had suddently darkened the room. Klaw turned in time to register the impact of the bullet, with the same innocent shock of a single bolt of lightening landing at a small child's feet.

moondragon and scarlet witch embraced.

"hey. thought that was just a part of the plan of distraction..." for once fury didn't yell.

moondragon tore herself away from a clawing scarlet witch with a smile. she caught fury's lonely stare, and once she had him in her gaze, she rolled her eyes in a big circle. then dove back into the refreshing pool newness that was the scarlet witch.

Anyhoo, on the generator, there's Uber Starters and Boosters, which has Everything. IC, CT, HT, Promos, Big Figs (Seperated into Mark I, III, and VI for Sentinel, and R/E/V for Sinestro), and LE's.

i dunno. there are some maps that are larger than the others. how do you do it in the ranch house? is there a timelimit people have to move or they're considered passing for their turn?

can't wait to see the selection of figs. will it be updated with the xplosion stats on the warriors section? that'd be cool to play with the xplosion figs online right now....!

The Ranch map was made by Brazil, and he updates it. We pretty much have to guess where it all is during it. :(

But he still does a good job with it.

Sorry, no Xplosion yet. Vance is away for a week or two (I think we're in the second one), but he assured me that he would update it when he got back.

Great job with the game! Very fun to read. Where do you get this generator, if you don't mind my asking? I'd love to try it sometime, heh. Sounds like fun, with the randomness of it and all. :)

And maybe if Thor wants to play, I could join in and make it a four player game? Or if that's too many, maybe some other time, hehe. Just that I'm on spring break now and bored and some clixin' would be nice. :)

Okay, updated to show the figs we get to choose from. I need a couple of questions answered first.

1. Who's gonna play. So far, I know for sure that Malchyor and I are in it. Thor665 and ASGDiamond, let me know.

2. We are playing honor system dice rolls. Is that okay with you two.

3. When (and how) do you want to do the draft? Should Malchyor and I reroll for Map choice and such?

4. I've got an idea on how to play with 4 people, but it'll take some explaining, using Heroix.com.

Each player (I'm using 4 as an example) gets 5 of the 1-10 tokens (and if someone chooses the Big Fig, they get that one also). We each start on one side of the map. If you have more than 5 characters (and we will), when one of your figs is KOed (or taken off map) you choose one of your remaining figs and put it in your starting area (your choice where at in your area). You do this until you've run out of figures.

Here's where there's a slight difference. When you make the graphic of your team in the My Realms section, you MUST put them in the order they will arrive.

For example. Say I'm using Hawkeye, Sinestro, Bane, Man-Bat, Huntress, Logan, and Blob. Hawkeye gets KOed. I can't choose Blob to go in next, since he's not next in line. Get it?

Let me know if you understand the concept. Or if you don't like it, think of something else. :)

Another thing I was thinking was, in the initial dice roll, the highest roll gets to decide what he wants to do. Here's his choices:
a) Choose the first figure.
b) Choose the map.
c) Have first move.
d) Choose which side of the map he wants.

Then the others get to choose in order of highest roll. So if I rolled a 7, Malchyor a 3, Diamond an 8, and Thor a 10, Thor gets to choose what he'd like to do, then Diamond chooses from what's left, then I would choose from the remaining two, and Malchyor would be stuck with the final option, but everyone wins!

No probs with the honour dice rolling, used it before in other online games and it was fine. :) Just one q, where are the maps we're using, or are they just standard maps that we have?

...if it's going to be a four player affair, should we drop the point total a bit? I'm not sure if we even have 3200 points worth of players to choose from, hehe. And if we do, each army will be close to a dozen players or so, I reckon. Maybe a 300-400 point army would be better? Or we could just add more boosters to choose from, which I think CyberVenom suggested too hehe :)

I think we should keep it at 800. It makes the whole "bringing in more figs once one is KOed" idea interesting. I'll go and total it up, and take it from there. If there's not 3200, then I'll add more and update the full list tonight. Hopefully, we can at least get the teams done tonight.

PS: When is a good time for everyone to meet? what about Yahoo! or MSN Messenger? It might make it just a tad quicker.

Okay, down to business!

Here's the rolls so far:
CyberVenom: 10
ASGDiamond: 8
Thor665: 7
Malchyor: ? (It'll probably be a -7. How he gets it, I'll never know :) )

As for the total of all the figures. We need 3200 pts. or more all together. Adding them up, I got 3757. So we gots plenty.

After we find out Malchyor's roll, we can proceed. The way I figure it, when it comes to choosing what to do, and this is just for example, if I get the highest roll, as was to choose to pick the first character, then ASGD would go next choosing, then Thor, then Malchyor (depending on roll).

And for the other choices (ie ASGD chooses next, since he has the next highest roll, and he chooses where to be on the map), then Thor, then Malchyor, and finally me, keeping it in order the whole time.

Turn order will be determined on who chooses to have first move. We could either a) keep going with the same order, or b) whomever is on the left goes next. Which way would be better for youse guys?

So, what time zone are we all in? I'm in the Atlantic, which is just in Canada and not the US hehe. It's an hour ahead of EST, so 8pm EST is 9pm here, etc. If we're all pretty close in terms of time then we can get together easier, I guess.
