here are some suggestions on revamping powers or creating totally new ones:
Aquatic Ability: this is so useless as it is. why not make it more useful by adding as an option, "submerge" (like "soaring") allowing the character to go "under water" and not be a traget of ranged attack. and if he/she has range ability, to shoot up at anyone above.
Steal Power: This should allow the character to borrow the power of another character (such as what Rogue should really do) for an action or maybe like outwit, until the next turn. Option would be to whether let the "robbed" character keep his power or not.
Super Charge: A range action taken at an object that causes it to explode and do damage to those around it (say 1 click for light and 2 for heavy).
Let me know what you think.
If you guys got more ideas, i'd really like to see some other powers come to life, or at least, to clix.

I've always thought that Fastball Special would be a good one. A character with FS can throw an adjacent figure the thrown's speed, in a straight line. The thrown character must stop in a square adjacent to an enemy and make a close combat attack. Both thrower and thrown get action tokens. A character with FS cannot throw flying characters. There must be Line of Fire to the opponent.

i think this is an interesting power. i was looking for something like this.
from reading comics, i'd say this would best emulate the collosus-wolverine combo.
another think that should be added to super strength i think; being able to throw an oppent should be a possiblity.

everyone also knows how terrible battle fury is (it's not a power, it's a handicap). so i propose tweeking it a bit, by adding, "this character adds 2 to his attack value". that would better capture someone with "battle fury", because they would strike better in that state.
what do you think?

How bout Absorb? Some Mutants need to absorb power to get stronger. So if they are attacked successfully they can roll a 1 6d dice and on a roll of say 5 or 6 instead of getting it plus 2 gets added to thier AV. Or something like that
I agree with the Steal Power, and battle fury. I hate Battle fury truthfully right now.
I'm also thinking of Mimic. there are a few people who can copy powers of others just by seeing them do it. So I'm thinking that anyone figure with in a 10 range radius with LOF that has a token on it can be targeted for this action. You could only copy one power per turn and only on figures with action tokens on them. The effect ends on the beginning of your next turn

i love all your ideas, and hats off to aceoswords for starting this thread. i think something should be done with charge, because there are people who cant be knocked back, so they have it, and there are people who can run at an opponent and attack, so they have it, i think they should separate that into different powers. also, the question will rise on how to label these new powers (colors on the dial) i think that mage knight had a good idea with the circles, so we may see that, or they may just go through an entire box of crayons to get the colors, i know i admit that i was a little upset when they came out with brown and dark blue, i think they could have found some other colors. as for new powers, i think that there should be a way to show some characters power to change their powers, and there should be a power that sais that you can replace it with any power, like a wildcard ability. of course it would be too expensive to have on more than one click, but it could be cool

I don't think battle fury is that bad. I hate it when i try to mind control someone else's figure that has battle fury. It is a reasonable ability and i think it isnt that bad.

seperating the charge abilities is a good idea, i'm thinking that you are refering to differences between characters like She-Hulk and the Blob?
first time i saw the blob, i was like, "he has charge??"
but then you realize that it's so he doesn't get knocked back.
but still, it's awfully hard to picture the blob ever charging at someone and knocking them flat with his fat butt.
maybe a circle to indicate "no- knockback" charge and a square for the "im gonna pound ya" charge.
seriously though, WK she keep an open mind about adding powers.

I feel there should be a new power for:
MARTIAL ARTIST - combines stealth and CCE
MIMICRY - as mentioned above, figure can use any superpower currently on the gameboard (maybe within a 10 radius)
HAYMAKER - like BCF, connects to every opposing figure in BTB contact
ESP - can subtract 2 to an opposing figure's stats
MATTER MANIPULATION - (big one) cannot be damaged by light or heavy objects, or a ranged attack, can create openings into any wall (Molecule Man, Firestorm, Mr. Mxypltk, the Thunderbolt, Capt. Atom I think...)
REALITY MANIPULATION - (REALLY BIG one) may double or halve any die roll once per turn and once per opponent's turn
(I figure make this one rather expensive, but do not give figure extraordinarily high defense or damage, as all this person is doing is screwing around with their opponent, or aiding another figure on it's team, think Mr. Mxypltk, or Xavier's son that caused the alternate dimension, the Beyonder, Dr. Doom with the Power of the Beyonder :)

Kinda. But only the thrown character HAS to attack. Plus, being a comic book fan, you get more of a "character is thrown" feeling more than a "character was moved with someone's mind" feeling. :)
As for those other abilities:
Marital Arts: Not bad. Not great. I think CCE has the Martial Arts covered though.
Mimicry: Interesting, if not a little too strong. I'd say that the character must choose an opposing figure at the beginning of the game. Mimicry can copy one ability at a time, at the beginning of your turn, of that figure throughout the game (but only abilities that character currently has) When the copied figure is knocked out, the mimicry character chooses another, until he is knocked out or the game ends.
Haymaker: Again, interesting, but I don't think that would work. I'd make it an instant knockback. When this character successful damages an opponent B2B, the opponent must move back the number of clicks he takes.
ESP: I like that!
Matter Manipulation: Nice, but waaaay too powerful! I do like the stipulation of not being able to be attacked with objects. How about that and the character takes to Knockback damage from hitting Blocking Terrain. If this character is knocked back into a blocking terrain, he simply moves through it, causing a hole in the wall.
Reality Manipulation: As nice as that is, I just don't see that happening at all. It's too big of a power in the comics, and too hard to translate well into 'Clix.
IMHO, we only need powers that can't be simulated by something else. Why combine Stealth and CCE into a new power, when we have Stealth and CCE already? And why have a Fastball Special power that's already represented by Telekinesis?
That being said, I would be interested in STEAL POWER and COPY POWER. DC and Marvel both have characters that do this (Rogue, Parasite, Mimic, Amazo, etc.) Both would have to be *very* expensive to keep them from getting out of hand, but it would definitely add a new level to the game.
I have a couple
FREEZE BLAST - When a character uses this power the opposing character is rendered ''Frozen'' for two turns. The opposing character now must roll a 6 sided die if 4 5 or a 6 is rolled this character is still frozen. (This power does not work for characters w/ hypersonic speed.)
GRAVITY BLAST - When someone uses this power all flight people within half the characters range (including your own people) flight is taken away from them, and can't be carried for the remainder of the game.
TIME STOPPER – this character can stop every other character(s) action for one turn within half of his range. Damage can be done regularly but takes one click of damage himself.
SUPER COUNTER ATTACK – every time someone makes a close combat attack against a person with this power takes an automatic click of damage even if the attack misses caused by super reactions of the other character.
SUICIDE: This character must be adjacent to a opposing figure. Make an attack role if you succeed then your character gets KO'ed and your opposing figure takes 6 clix of damage. Defense super powers like invulnerability are applied.
And that is all, I have to go to school.

I agree it's strong, but just assign a high point value. This game needs a few more "character-specific" abilities, rather than generic abilities designed to "blanket" all heroes and villians

Why would it cause an "instant knockback"? It's designed to give non-Super Strengthened characters something to retalliate a gang-up.

I like that idea too! I had Firestorm in mind for this, but I'm sure there are many others this pertains to. It could even be used as a "magic power" for a Mystic somewhere down the line. Again, I agree it's a powerful ability, just assign a high point value accordingly. Not every one plays "simple" 200 or 300 point games in my area. (Indianapolis)

Perhaps just some wishful thinking, but I'd like to see Mr. Mxypltk as a 'Clix! And a Thunderbolt/Genie. Neither are particularly malevolent, they just kinda screw with their adversaries or aid their teammates. I agree it's a powerful ability, assign it accordingly! :)

wow, what a great bunch of ideas.
i would like to see something like "gravity blast" or "time stopper" come out. there are alot of characters that have powers like that (eg magneto for gravity and thanos for time).
i think there really ought to be some dual powers for those who have those capabilities.
for instance, we'll have a bunch of ninjas coming out in Xplosion, but they'll either have stealth or leap climb on their dial, whereas they should really have both at the same time.
and characters like spiderman should have flurry and leap climb at the same time right??
let's just go with what makes sense!

Maybe there should be a drawback super power like :
Stupidity: If this character makes a successful attack roll a 1 6d on a result of a 1 or 2 this character misses and takes on click of damage.
I know it's not that good but at least it shows the power of the thugs and lackeys out there!!!
Or another power that I would like to see them make is
Teleport: This Figure can move any number of spaces within his lof he can also carry a figure with him/her but he must take a click of damage after the movement

I'd like an invisibility power a la Mage Knight - "THis character cannot be targeted for a ranged combat attack".
I suspect we'll see some power steal at some point - and new versions of Rogue and Parasite right after.
I'd like to see a speed "Omni-power" of sorts that functions sort of as a combo of phasing, leap/climb, hypersonic speed, charge, and running shot (and maybe flurry) - giving someone like the Flash a wide variety of options.

id like to see some abilites that are more like disabilites. this would allow a good fig who would normally have a high cost to be lower stuff like u cant push this charcter. or when damaged the charcters takes an extra click. it may not sound good but u could really get some cheap good figures.
as for new superpowers i think they should combine pulsewave and incapacate. id like to see a charcter with a limited range telekensis like u can move on fig one square to breakaway taxis.
