Just getting started playing, and we keep coming across the same question before every game.

Obviously, a figure cannot make a RC action through a friendly figure. But, what about perplex, mind control, and outwit?

I figured these actions as needing to have a direct line of fire. But there are a few that say since a "projectile" is not passing over each square, and that it's a mental ability, so both friendly and enemy figures are not considered blocking the line of fire.

What is the correct ruling on this?

Thanks in advance.

Okay, regardless of the descriptions of the powers...

a Ranged Combat Action will require that Line of Fire be drawn.

Line of Fire is usually blocked by Blocking terrain and other figure's bases.

So, for a Ranged Combat attack, Perplex, Mind Control or Outwit...

Line if Fire will be blocked if Line of Fire drawn from attacker to target crosses another figure's base. Both friendly and opposing figures will block Line of Fire. There are exceptions that will not be discussed as of yet.

Does this answer?

Plus, only Sentinels and Sinestro Constructs ignore LoF through friendly and non-friendly figure bases.

That's one of the exceptions that will not be discussed as of yet!
