I'm just curious what format everyone uses (this has probably been done before but I don't really care)?

Marvel, DC, Mixed
200,300,400....pts

I usually I play 300pt Marvel (well I do play mixed but I only have 8 dc characters so they don't always make the team :D )

However I have more fun making 400 or 500 pt teams.

Oh yeah I also usually play with no dups, with the exception of thugs, shield agents, etc...

We usually play Marvel vs. DC...300 point teams. Mostly the Capture the Flag scenario. So simple, yet it always turns out to be a great game!!

I'm deinitely used to 300 point Marvel only or DC only games. But I do enjoy mixed games and genre only games of up to 400 or 500 points.

Usually my friends and I play 300, 400, 500, or 600 pt mixed games, with no house rules.

Mostly we play until last man standing, but with the larger games, especially if there are 4 teams of 500 or 600 pts, we play an hour timed game.

We used to play free-for-alls, but now mostly play teams, 2 vs 2, or simple 1 on 1.

We play a couple different game types.
This weeks game is 500 pt Ironman. Next week is a 200 point Hydra vs Shield game where you either play only figures that have the Hydra or Shield team symbol.
Our game type changes from week to week with players being able to give input. Most games are 300 points and we play a couple house rules including no dupes or mixing.

I've played in both Marvel and DC tournies, but never a mixed one. Tournies I've played are generally 200 pts. for sealed, or 300 pt constructed, either 10 rounds or timed. One of the more interesting formats we've tried on game night is "booster roulette", everyone picks a booster (any expansion or brand), and gets 2 actions a turn. Your four figs are your team, period.

For fun games, we generally follow the various tournament formats (200 or 300 points, DC or Marvel only), though it's sometimes fun to come up with scenarios on the fly.

The best games I have played were ones where no flying was allowed. You could still play flyers, but they would not be allowed to carry or use RCE in Base to Base.

We play mostly 300 points mixed...50 minute games, though usually one team has been wiped out by then.

300 points, marvel only, 50 min time limit or scenarios

I prefer 200 and 300 pt games, 10 round limit, no mixing and no dupes, some scenarios. If just 1 on 1, fights to the finish are ok too.

we play last man standing, teams or one on one, with variable build totals, no less than 300 and up, or my favorite, pick your 7 best and only get 4 actions per turn, barring leadership, and no dupes at all except for generics

Our group normally plays 400pt mixed games with challenge of champions.

I like using 400pt because it give you a lot of options and enough characters to almost make complete "teams"

And we really dont care if you are one to five points over. We do care when its 6.

I typically play 300 pt. Marvel. I haven't had a chance to play a game since the Clobberin' Time Marquee though... and before that I hadn't had a chance to play a real game since July. Played a couple of games against my brother but nothing competitive. I miss getting to play often. I've always got clix on the mind though. Always thinking about strategies and combos and all that good stuff.

I'd really like to get into playing mixed games... 500pts. +... I'm thinking it'll be especially fun once the next DC and Indy come out. Anyone wanna help make a day longer so I can have time to play??

Usually we play 500+ point games, up to 1500 pts. -- fight to the death. It's either Marvel v. Marvel or DC v. DC. We haven't crossed over yet, except for our Faction-based tourney (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26117).

Our house rule is for every build over 500, we get half the move actions rounded up (i.e. 600 point builds get 3 moves/turn, 700 gets 4, etc.). That makes the game move along quicker.

We also add the usual no dupes rule expect for henchman-types and no medics in builds over 600 pts.

I must say dr. McCoy, that is an outstanding quote, I believe I shall seek out that issue of xmen and am know inpsired to add the source of my quote.

I roll what I call the dye of fate, and whatever it is we play, 1-6 I always have a 1-600 ready at any point in time. I have 3-4 2 and 300 point forces because very often evan will say "dude cmon I don't wanna play a 500, it'll take forever." It's me Evan, and a few younger siblings who I can con into playing occasionally. I fear the day when I move out of the house in a few months. Then there will be no one to play heroclix with...

We play mixed around here, except for Marquees. 100-1000 point teams,(but usually 200-500) one on one, or three- or four- ways. Anymore than four and we use 2 maps. No B2B ranged attacks, and no non-generic dupes allowed, unless the person doesn't have enough figures.
