which Iron Man & War Machine team is best? which would win? has anybody tested them out?

I'd use SV Iron Man with HoT War Machine, I'd also consider using AW E War Machine with SI Iron Man.

Both of those work out to 297, so maybe give each team an Alias to throw on and call it even against the Duo.

Maybe try the AV Ultimate Iron Man with the HoT War Machine, too.

There are a lot of potential combos for this smash-up.


Me? I'd play IM and WM against a bunch of low-level Sentinels and live out the ending of Iron Man 2.

comparing 2 400pt teams vs a 300 pt fig is a bit daftass. i'd probably go for the SI iron man, wos tony may be indomitable, but I couldn't pass on an outwit/perplex sp in favour of perma willpower.

the av ultimates iron man blows. that sp isn't optional due to it's wording and hurts tony too much for a 50/50 chance of doing less than or equal his printed damage.

I love both the SI, and WoS Iron man, but I always seem to have a better game with WoS version.

I have IM/WM duo on the way in the mail can't wait to play them.

After the attack is resolved, Iron Man is dealt 2 unavoidable damage." it's that 'when' bit that mildly irritates me, I highly suspect that without it, he wouldn't have been down marked to 150pts. I guess I hadn't noticed I can not use the power..

I definitely agree with you that the wording is irritating. But if you run into an opponent or judge that is insisting you have to use it when you make a ranged combat attack, you can just choose to turn it off for your turn. That is completely legal on any power that does not say "non-optional."

Good point. i've always wanted to feild the entire ultimates ta figs on one team, but lack the Giant man. This thread has helped me make that decision.
