View Full Version : Wording on Updated Police TA
POLICE
When a friendly character making a ranged combat
attack is adjacent to one or more characters using the
Police team ability, each opposing character targeted
by the attacker modifies its defense value by -1 for
each character using the Police team ability if the
characters using the Police team ability also have a
clear line of fire to the target.
say i have 2 adjacent police TA character, and one does a ranged attack. since i have 2 police TA, obviously both is using the TA, does the target get -2 def, or only -1 cause the "attacker" doesn't count?

It is a -1 for the attack. Basically since there is only one adjacent friendly figure next to the attacking figure.

Contingency Plan is correct, the Police TA doesn't help the firing figure.
However, if you have three figures adjacent with the Police TA, and the middle one fires, there will be a -2 to the target's Defense. (If there is a Giant behind the three figures, firing over their heads, it would be -3 to the target's Defense.)

Oh! Also if the Giant is a wildcard and copies the PD TA, then he'd lend his -1 to all three when they maked ranged attacks.
Awesome Andy sometimes helps out the police in my town. :)

Good for Andy!!
In my town, Validus and Toyman help keep the Police corrupt.......:disappointed:
they could add "-1 for each "adjacent" character using the police TA...
that would simplify this.
Don't forget to multi-target (if more than one arrow) with your attacker since each target would be affected by the minus so long as the PD'rs can see the multiple targets too.
