If you have the move and attack ability, the boot speed symbol, and leap/climb can you move through hindering terrain while using move and attack?

Pretty sure you can.
edit
Actually now that they changed it, I'm not sure.

No, you cannot, because Move and Attack is now a modified version of Hypersonic Speed, so Leap/Climb is not active. You would need to be a flyer to move through hindering during Move and Attack.

You can't now for sure, and I don't think you could before either. I know for sure that you couldn't use the Transporter Move Attack and use Phasing/Teleport on Lockjaw.

I believe on the previous ruleset it depended on the power. Transporter Move and Attack was (I believe) a Move Action, so E Sinister Spider-Man could on his clicks with Leap/Climb pick up someone, jump over a building, and smack a dude in the face all in one swoop.
Now you can't as Leap/Climb is a Move Action, and the current Transporter Move and Attack ability is a Power Action.
(EDIT: and what W.I.T said)
For simplification sake they just called it a modified HSS under the new book. It's easier to explain (which I'm cool with), but like all rule changes, it will change the playability of a figure or two, for better or worse.

No you cant. Unless your a flyer you have to cut your movement in half for transporter move and attack.
Just looked it up, you could use Leap/Climb with it before, as both were activated on a Move Action.

Never mind, misunderstood the response.

Say what? Huh? you've never had to do anything like that as a Transporter. Ever.
I think he means coming out of hindering - which isn't what the thread is discussing, but is technically correct.

Yeah, I got that after I'd pressed submit :p So I changed my answer.

And on a technical note, the movement aspect of Leap/Climb activates any time a character is given a move action. So any move action will activate that aspect of Leap/Climb and the move action does not specifically need to be given to activate that aspect of Leap/Climb.
The Move and Attack ability allows the character to use Hypersonic Speed which requires a power action and since no move action is involved, Leap/Climb will not be activated.

But it wasn't always like this, it was not till recently right? Because I remember spiderman from sinister doing this.

The Move and Attack ability was not always like this. In the past, the Move and Attack ability required a move action (not the power action it requires today) which is why back then it would interact with Leap/Climb.

Oh man, just think if HSS hadn't been changed... HSS used to be a move action, which was crazy go nuts when you think of some of the JLA figures with Hypersonic... I'm looking at you Flash from Hypertime :cheeky:

Yeah, when Move and Attack was changed to no longer be a move action, Uncle Sam and I were very sad. He can still ignore ignore hindering with M&A when he has "As big as my country", but that's not front loaded like his Leap/Climb is, so still kind of depressing.
