View Full Version : Vapor's Gaseous State + Poison
Vapor has a special power that reads:
"Vapor can use smoke cloud. If she does modify her defense value by +2 until your next turn. Whenever a hindering terrain marker placed by her is removed, you may place her in that square."
My question has to do with her use of poison with this power. If she's next to an opponent when she removes smoke does she poison him before she moves? My next question is if she moves next to another opponent can she poison him? Is it possible to poison both?

Smoke is removed at the begining of the turn. Thats also when poison goes off. As the active player you choose the order of things. So poison and move or move and poison. Can't poison twice though.

No. The tokens come down before the beginning of the turn, so Poison will always happen after she is placed.

She can't get both. She can only get the one next to her after she is placed.

This is not correct.
Page 7:
EFFECTS THAT OCCUR AT THE BEGINNING OR END OF A ROUND OR TURN.
Before the first player takes his or her turn in a round, effects that occur “at the beginning of a round” resolve. When a player begins his or her turn, first resolve and end all effects that last “until the beginning of your turn”, then resolve all effects that occur “at the beginning of your turn”. If there exist multiples of one of these types of effects, the active player resolves them in any order.
Poison
Once at the beginning of your turn, as a free action this character deals 1 damage to each opposing adjacent character.
Smoke Cloud
Give this character a power action; put up to four hindering terrain markers in distinct, adjacent squares that are all within this character’s range and do not contain blocking terrain. A character with a range of 0 uses this power as if it has a locked range of 1. This character must have a clear line of fire to at least one of the terrain markers. The terrain markers remain until the beginning of your next turn

Yeah, you move her via the Smoke Cloud thing then apply poison. You cannot poison before you move her. It is a nice tactic, if she ever gets to the battle.
I've done really well with the U-Foes. They're definitely a finesse team. I've beaten the Outlaws, X-Men 1st class w/Archangel, Runaways, and Guardians of the Galaxy teams. I agree with the majority that their dials are a little too short. I think Ironclad and Vector could be improved but this conversation is for another thread.
