I don't know about you guys, but I find the new version of Ghost to be adorable. He tries to be scary, but he comes off as being kind of cute to me. Either way, he's an awesome character.

I'm not sure if I'd stick with the smoke if I ever decided to print him. I just needed something to stick him to the base, since he's always floating.

I would actually like to see some of this digital sculpts printed it. I get that its a complicated practice to learn the software, or even afford it in some cases - but I would still like to see what some of these designs look like in hand.

Awesome. Now, poke someone at Wizkids. And make them get him in the next set. :)

I love the current T-Bolts book, and Ghost is one of the best characters right now.

Yeah, I've actually been working on that. The problem is that Shapeways has a requirement for pieces to have a minimum thickness of .7mm. I know that sounds tiny, but Heroclix figures are only an inch and a half tall, so I've been chunking up pieces of my models for them to do it. Hopefully the order I placed a few days ago goes through.

Like if I were to ready this Ghost up for printing, his straps and the points of the smoke would have to be fattened up. I still will try eventually though, since he's one of my favorite characters.

Love it. Want it. While you're at it, do you mind doing a T-Bolts Juggernaut? Y'know, sculpted like he looks in the comic (giant barrel with arms n' legs)?

That looks great. I'm a fan of thunderbolts myself. :)

blender is open source software that several professional 3d desighners I know use exclusively. Completely free, and theres a huge community with lots of tutorials and free help with it.

You can find it here:

I don't know how good you are with your hands, but you really should look into the open source 3d printing community, there are multiple projects with free plans for working 3d printers, and communities to help you out with building and putting them together. Everything is free except the parts of course to put them together, and the plastics for printing. I believe most of them can be put together for around $300-500 US., there are even people setting up kits so you can just order all the parts in one lot. Most of these machines also have much smaller printing areas than the larger companies are using, which means they are perfect for doing heroclix. I've been trying to convince my wife into letting me invest in one

Here are the 3 primary projects that I am aware of, however I am sure there are more.

I'd have to agree, this is the best sculpt you've done so far. His pose is spectactular and spot-on, and you caught his creepy gauntness in an amazing fashion. I'd buy the hell out of this one.

Is there any way to do "clear" plastice in that system? Clear feet transitioning to a soild body would look great.

I really like the current Thunderbolts and the only Ghost figure we have now just...disappoints. This is 1000 times better. Now we need a remake of Man-Thing.
